I'm love polk speakers
Crutchfield customer from Kapolei, HI on 6/1/2020
These Polk 265-LS (used as surrounds) sounds awesome and well balanced when paired to my LSi speaker setup (Caution see ***FYI for more info.) Good clarity, sound, and presence. Good mounting diversity as you can adjust sound with its built in sound shaping controls. It also comes with a port plug in case you have to mount speaker in a larger than a normal wall stud spacing. Bass is ok but for movies or hard core listening you will need a subwoofer. *** FYI I did learn something when matching the 265-LS's 91 db sensitivity 8-ohm impedance to my existing 88 db 4-ohm setup is that the 265-LS is so much more efficient that the receiver could not output match it to the rest of the system and maxed out at -12db. I ended up powering the 265-LS with my old Denon AVR-2500 and adjusted the output to half so main receiver could sound match. I repositioned my good old Polk LSi 7.2 speaker set up in order to update to Dolby Atmos 5.2.4. After repositioning I ended up needing rear surrounds. I also wanted them to not only match my LSi's but also wanted them in wall. I found these Polk 265-LS on Crutchfield that had similar drivers. My setup LSi9's for front and center, LSi/fx for side front and rear heights, 265-LS for the surrounds, and the subs. Onxyo PR-RZ5100 receiver, PA-MC5100 amp, and Denon AVR 2500 to power the Polk 265-LS rear surrounds. Crutchfield support and shipping was great as always!!!
Pros: Good tonal match to older LSi speakers
Cons: Absolutely none

Love the sound!
Michael from The Colony, TX on 9/3/2018
Just installed as L+R pair in media room paired with a Paradigm center and Martin Logan SW. Ended up using the wall switch toggle since needed to place with 2' of the side-walls. Didn't seem to impact the sound negatively. Also using 65 RT's for rear surround for 5.1. Love the Polk Audio clarity and overall sound experience.
Pros: Easy to install, great sound

Like a lot
Ray from North Potomac, MD on 10/20/2013
THis is an easy to install, almost "invisible" in the wall speaker. Obviously bass is not so good (need a subwoofer), but could do without one. Like it a lot. My only personal comparison is with a pair of Bowers and Wilkins CWM 800 wall/ceiling speakers. The Polk 265-LS is a better sounding speaker, but if the B&W speakers were still easily available (they have been discontinued, I am told) I would purchase the B&W speakers (but they are not quite as "invisible").
Pros: Easy install, good looking (because they are not obtrusive).
Cons: Pretty expensive, for me.
