I tried a few other options when looking to tune my Jeep Wrangler's audio to my liking. I wanted crisp, deep bass without too much noise and not taking up valuable trunk space. A compact powered sub left me wanting more, an old 10" sub I had was too loud, and took up too much space. This Polk 8" ended up being just was I was looking for. When boxed, it is significantly smaller than a 10" so takes up much less space, but also hits hard and provides crispy goodness. The fact that they are marine rated only adds to the Wrangler character.
Pros: Hits Hard, Deep bass, Not too loud, compact.
