These are head and shoulder better than any speaker I've ever owned. They performed amazingly with everything I threw out at them rock, R&B, jazz, and musicals, classic. The sound is accurate both in timber and texture, lively, and warm, never sounding pushed. ( I'm quite sure my amp would give out before these speakers would.). So often in the past, I'd hear a speaker and think they were good, but missing something, something I couldn't put my finger on. Then I heard the term sound stage, that feeling that you were right there with the band, drummer in the back, bass player to the right, and guitarist on the left. Even better listen to Somethin' Else by Cannonball Adderley You knew where Cannonball was: to the right and up front, and Miles was to back and left, the amazing Hank Jones on piano forward and to the left, and behind them all Sam Jones on bass and Art Blakey on drums.
Pros: Well made, and well protected while shipped. Adjectives I would use to describe them: accurate timbre and texture, lively, warm.
Cons: The default shipping was awful. Nonsensical tracking and late by 3 days.

Very happy with sound quality. Typical polk excellence. Bi-amped is the way to go. I do wonder if I should have done legend series so R900 would be in the speaker, instead of on the speaker.
