About the Polk RT35i (Black)
This ear-pleasing pair carries on Polk's legacy of impressive bookshelf speakers, using designs inherited from their renowned RT tower series. The RT35i provides amazing bass output for its size thanks to a 6-1/2" Dynamic Balance® driver mounted on a raised bezel (no more unwanted grille diffractions!). Power Port technology ensures that the bass is clean and powerful, while a 1" trilaminate tweeter adds smooth, accurate highs. The RT35i also features an ingenious wall-mount system the Power Port assembly serves as a bracket! Finished in real black oak wood veneer.

Dynamic Balance: Dynamic Balance drivers are used for wide, smooth response and low distortion.
Blue Composite Woofers: The speaker uses a blue composite Dynamic Balance woofer for clean midrange and deep, accurate bass. For a smoother response and improved durability, the woofer uses a rubber surround.
Tri-Laminate Tweeters: The improved Dynamic Balance Tri-Laminate tweeter has vapor deposited micro-layers of stainless steel and aluminum for clear, detailed highs.
Anti-Diffraction Bezel: The anti-diffraction bezel and grille system minimizes grille-edge reflections for more open, spacious, lifelike imaging.
Power Port Technology: There is a port tube opening on the rear of each speaker which is directed to a power port. This is a funnel shaped plate on the rear of the speaker which helps produce better bass. This venting system allows air velocity to slow gradually, vastly reducing air turbulence, and delivering greater bass efficiency than conventional ports.
Acoustic Resonance Control (ARC): Internal cabinet resonance can impart a "thick" character to voices. Polk's Acoustic Resonance Control port system overcomes this problem. In addition to the bass port, the speaker has a second front-firing port that is tuned to suppress the internal cabinet resonance, resulting in clear and natural midrange.
5-Way Binding Posts: The gold plated 5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade connectors, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.
Wall mounting: There is a keyhole slot on the power port plate on the back of the unit. If desired, this can be used to wall mount the speaker by screwing a #10 screw (not provided) into a wall stud. If a wall stud is not available a wall anchor capable of supporting at least 25 pounds (not provided) may be used. Additionally, there are two small arms on the rear of the speaker which help to keep the bottom of the unit away from the wall if it is wall mounted.
Frequency Response: The overall frequency response is 39Hz-26kHz, -3dB frequency response is 50-25kHz.
