Highly Recommend, can't be beat at the Price
William from PROSPECT, KY on 8/22/2020
These speakers would be very hard to beat at the price for both quality of sound and looks. I kept messing around with buying vintage, worn speakers trying to match up age with Vintage Sony, Pioneer etc and older Technics turntable. Some good results, some bad. Finally, decided to quit messing around and picked these up in Cherry. Absolutely, love them. All around sound is great for decent sized office. Listen to vinyl Rock, Pop etc. and FM radio, Pop, country etc. I would highly recommend.
Pros: Quality of Sound Cherry Cabinets Size is Perfect
Cons: Maybe, slightly light on bass, but I don't care!

Wow...I cannot believe the difference between these and the the 17yr old RTi38's they're replacing...it was a choice between these and the RTi5's, and these won out because they just sounded nicer... They're being driven by a 20yr old Sony STR-DB930, and the system never sounded better...

Fantastic all-around Speaker!
Crutchfield customer from N Chesterfld, VA on 7/7/2020
Performance: These speakers have a very balanced and neutral sound signature across the spectrum. I am especially pleased with, and surprised by, the clean and punchy base. These speakers also image extremely well; so, if you're intending to use these for home theater purposes you really don't need to rush out and purchase a center channel speaker. I think these speakers are terrific for all music genres, but I do agree with other reviewers who noted that they are exceptional with jazz & classical music. Appearance: With the grills on they have a sleek, elegant look. With the grills off they have a warm, classic look. Either way they are just gorgeous! They are also sized just right - not too big or not too small. They blend in beautifully with my small - medium sized living room. Conclusion: Considering the very friendly price point and overall performance of these speakers I really don't think you can go wrong. Take a chance and get yourself a set - you won't regret it!

Tremendous value.
Crutchfield customer from Binghamton on 6/25/2020
I know most budding audiophiles don't like to use the term 'value' when they think of choosing a speaker. Value is a term normally attached to something you would buy at wallyworld. Clothing, food, a bicycle, etc. But in this case, the term applies. I bought these a few weeks ago (cherry version) and I honestly don't know how they can turn a profit on these speakers, when you consider Polk has to make $, Crutchfield has to make $, the employees manufacturing the speakers have to be paid, the shipping costs, etc. etc. Now that's out of the way, let's focus on the actual speakers and sound signature. When I unboxed these and inspected them for the first time I was pleasantly surprised at the finish. Very attractive vinyl wrap. The tops have a nice glossy black finish which take the speakers from a plain looking run of the mill enclosure to something that looks much more upscale. They have a decent amount of heft to them. The polk t50 towers that are now on my back porch are by comparison light, cheap looking and sound dull and flat IMO. I first hooked them up to a newer Yamaha 5.1 receiver and was somewhat disappointed at the sound quality. They sounded rather treble heavy and thin in the midrange. Then I tried them with an older Denon receiver and they warmed up nice, the treble flattened out and the mids became rounder and less shout-y. I used them without a Sub for the 1st few days and they just can't get that nice deep low end I wanted .Added a Sub now they sound beautiful~
Pros: They cover all types of music nicely. Rock, classical, jazz all sound nice. They really accel at smooth jazz (Larry Carlton, Pat Matheny, Steely Dan Etc.) The bottom ports help throw a nice wide soundstage.
Cons: As mentioned, a sub is not mandatory like using small bookshelf speakers, but I was wishing they could get down deeper on some types of music, like rock and metal. They really benefit from a sub, so that these can focus on the midrange frequencies.

Brian from Philadelphia on 6/2/2020
I have many speakers but I am only review those that I would purchase again. Polk has done it again with this model. I have ran various types of music through these and they did not disappoint. I think that jazz is my favorite type of music with these speakers. No sub needed for jazz. I would add a sub for dance type music though.
Pros: Construction is excellent. I really like the finish on Polk speakers. The price point is really a top selling point. I have to wonder how they do it. Get the matching center speaker and you have an audiophile quality system. Just about any receiver can power these. Marantz sounds the best to me. Imaging and soundstage are top notch.
Cons: Could use a sub for dance music ..

Good for the price
Crutchfield customer from Cuba , MO on 5/15/2020
For the price , they are great speakers. I had them on my HK-3390 which is a lower - wattage receiver. It does not take much the drive the speakers for you to get a good sound from them. They don't have the bass my old KG-4's had, but still good. going to put them together in the living room with the Yamaha R-N303. Should be a good pairing.
Pros: sounded good with streaming music. Did a nice job with music played on a turntable . The mids are not too bad and the voices are clear.
Cons: You may need to add a lower wattage sub woofer a 75 to 120 watt powered sub woofer should do the trick.

Wow! In person these speakers are beautiful and the sound is superb! Great details in every level with 0 distortion. I paired it with the TSi CS10, the TSi 100 for rears and the PS10w as a subwoofer, for power I am using an Onlyo 686 and for Dolby Atmos I have a pair of Pioneer. These combination has been perfect and the sound is amazing! I had a very expensive and premium dolby atmos sound bar before and in 5 months I sold it, it will never beat a proper sound system. 5 stars!

Can't go wrong with Polk Audio
AL from Gaithersburg, Maryland on 1/22/2020
This is my second pair of Polk speakers. I'm upgrading my first pair which were 7As which, believe it or not, have served me extremely well since 1982. These TSi300s prove that Polk has not lost a step even after 28 years, and amazingly this pair cost me exactly the same amount as my 7As. These new ones have even better imaging, resonance, and balance between the lows and highs than my 7As. I have a fairly compact listening space and these fill it beautifully with rich smooth tonality, and their slim upright design is perfect for my space. So if you're looking for excellent sound quality that doesn't need to fill up a hotel ballroom, and for a very comfortable price, you can't go wrong with these or, I'm sure, any Polk audio product.
Pros: Excellent sound quality, slim compact design, and very nice finish in the cherry. Also very easy to connect speaker wire to the posts.
Cons: None

You will be impressed.
Crutchfield customer from Corinth, ME on 1/9/2020
I was skeptical about how these would sound given the small size of the drivers and given my experience years ago with larger 12 and 15 inch drivers in speakers of the day. However, I find that these speakers have ample bass response for my needs, they far exceed my expectations and can produce room filling sound levels without straining. Out of the box they seemed somewhat bright to my ears but after only about 5 hours they seem well balanced now and I can hear small details that I have never heard with other speakers I have used. They look stunning in addition to the very smooth but punchy sound. An amazing value and suprising sound from this small footprint, I can't imagine what the larger Polk towers sound like. Unless you are used to very high end speakers or need to move your home off it's foundation with bass notes these speakers will impress you substantially. You can't go wrong for the price. I love mine and highly recommend these.
Pros: Excellent crafstmanship Excellent price Very good sound from small drivers
Cons: Could be slightly tippy as they are tall and narrow with drivers at the top be carefull.

I bought these to replace my Polk TSI100 bookshelf speakers and I didn't realize all the sounds I was missing. The bookshelf's are great and will now use them for the surrounds in the back but moving to these TSI300 towers opened up the range. They are not a large tower but they sound way bigger. I chose this pair to compliment the Simmons drum monitor I have for my Yamaha DTX electronic drum kit. although the monitor has an aux. input for music, with the drums coming out of the same source, it lacked the separation to enjoy fully. Same with headphones. The Polks are the perfect height while sitting on the drum throne, and I can fine tune my music from my Yamaha RX-797 zone 2 through a Russound P75 power amp, and adjust the drum volume and equalization through the monitor. The TSi300 offer an excellent banging for the buck, a trait I learned from my previously purchased Polk Audio T15's in the kitchen and Atrium 8SDi's on the deck.
Pros: At age 67, these speakers helps my drum banging sound like a pro

When I received them, one of the boxes showed signs of having been dropped, probably in shipping. The speaker inside showed no visible signs of damage, but the sound was scratchy. Five star performance and craftmanship.
Brad Wright from Dayton, OH on 1/5/2019
First things first. How do these speakers sound you ask? For the price you can't beat the sound, think "Honey" because the mids and lows are warm and sweet. The silk dome tweeter adds a breath of fresh air to the design without being thin or tinny, let's just say it does what it's supposed to do and does it well for a speaker in this price range. Secondly how do they look in person? The cabinet is beautiful and if not inspected closely will pass for real wood, the piano gloss black top plate adds a nice look and the bottoms ported design allows the bass to flow freely without chuffing. I like it a lot.
Pros: Sounds sweet. Looks expensive. Speaker material. Cabinet design. Excellent as HT front speakers.
Cons: If not for the assistance of the bass reflex bottom port the bass would be ho hum..but use with a subwoofer as I am doing and Tah dah!! Problem solved.

Terrific....Purchased these TSi 300 to replace my Polk RM87 Series and added the matching CS1 A4 center channel. (apologies to Crutchfield. Purchased the center channel through another vendor with a birthday gift card). my home theater went from what I thought sounded great to a whole new level combined with a Sony STR-DN1080 Amplifier. From the lows to the highs I am now experiencing audio in a whole new world. Add to that, these speakers/towers are gorgeous in the Cherry Wood. For the budget minded these are absolutely wonderful speakers. I have always been a Polk fan including Polks in my Toyota Sequoia. That said, great speakers and as always bar setting customer service and support from Crutchfield. Never worry about online purchases from Crutchfield. They are always there for their customers with superior service......

These speakers are a good upgrade for anyone with a relatively limited budget but who wants a notable improvement over an old or dated system. Polk has a stellar reputation among audiophiles, and the only drawback to these entry-level Polks is that buyers might regret not having gone a little higher up the product range.

Richard A. from Mishawaka, IN on 9/5/2017
They seem to sound good. Still in the process of trying different genres of music. They definitely sound better than my 27 year old Pioneers. Still not totally convinced on these yet. Maybe I should upgrade to the TSI 400's. or maybe a new receiver, currently using a 2005 Onkyo TX8011 2 channel receiver. I still have a few weeks to decide. They do sound crisper, you actually here more of the instruments which i love. To be continued.....
Pros: sounds crisper and more defined then 27 year old pioneers. still up in the air on them
Cons: none that i can think. if your wanting more bass, maybe try the 400's. these were more in my price range.

These sound better than towers costing twice as much.
Kyle from Strongsville, Ohio on 7/19/2017
I am a child of the 70's and the days when if you wanted big sound, you needed big speakers. I am amazed at the range of speakers that are this compact yet yield a full range of sound. One term I'd just to describe these Polk Audion TSi300's is crisp. They have nice high end and mid range and really shine when replicating intricate drums and percussion. As an ardent jazz fan, I'm particularly please that these towers do justice to the amazing variety of sound found within the Jazz genre. I also listen to a lot of Ambient and IDM and these tpes of music can have wildly varying array of range -all of which these speakers produce perfectly. You should hear someone play a 12 string guitar through these....amazing! I chose to add a subwoofer (Polk PSW108) - not because these towers lack bottom end - but because I wanted extra bass.
Pros: Great Mids Crisp Highs Compact Size Good looking Easy to handle Work great in small to mid size rooms
Cons: None

Outstanding Value
Mark from Louisville, KY on 5/24/2017
I needed speakers for my man-attic. I initially looked at bookshelf speakers because my space was so small and the walls were sloped due to the pitch of the roof. I ended up investigatint small towers as they presented a better bass and didn't need stands...which was a plus due to my cat infestation. I ended up ordering the Polks because of their size and reputation. The Polks were not my first choice. I had settled on a set of Fluance Towers but at 45 inches, they were too tall. The Polks were my second choice and at 36 inches fit well with my limited space. I got a great deal off Crutchfields and they were delivered in two days as promised. I use them primarily for music but will listen to movies through them as well. Currently set up as a 2.0 system run through an Onkyo A9010 One of the speakers was a 'scratch and dent' but you can't tell there is anything wrong with them at all. The cherry finish is a veneer but they look great. The sound is good and reflects the quality of the recording. Some of my content sounds outstanding and some sounds just ok. The speakers really seem to shine with jazz though they sound good with all material. I initially had them about 30 inches apart but moved them to about 5ft apart after I got things arranged and the separation really opened them up. I've got them toe'd in but I'm not sure that's necessary but I'm still dialing them in so I'm not done. At the price, these represent an outstanding choice for music or as part of a AV
Pros: Great value and size. Nice veneer, good looking speakers. Good open sound and pumps a big volume. Works well with music or home theater.
Cons: Not for huge spaces. Probably best for medium to small spaces.

I bought 2 of the tsi300 as front speakers and the tsi200 as rear speakers for a small game room. I also purchased the cs10 center speaker. They are hooked up to an older Onkyo 5.1 receiver. This system sounds great! I mainly use it for Ps4 and watching movies. I will eventually get a sub, but for now the bass is sufficient for me. The room rocks! The folks at Crutchfield are the Best, they are my Go-To Place for Electronics!! Delivery was fast! Thank you, Crutchfield!! Highly recommend!!

Great tower for price!
SHAWN from East Wenatchee, WA on 3/9/2017
Great sounding towers, not to big, and the piano black tops look outstanding. As for performance they are about middle of the road I would say, they definitely need a powered subwoofer as back up for thunderous bass demands as in movie soundtracks. But as for music (at least my style) they perform admirably and have a very dynamic range frequency . All around great speaker given its foot print. Would highly recommend to any one.
Pros: piano black tops , looks great in smaller rooms , very clean sound.

I bought these on the black Friday sale to replace my tired Cambridge Model Six speakers. I upgraded to a pioneer elite home receiver and needed a nice set of front speakers to go with it. I didn't have a huge budget with Christmas coming so I needed to keep it around 300. I got the polk tsi 300 in cherry finish and they look great. They sound amazing compaired to the old model six. But they do lack bass, I know they need some time to break in but without the sub they just don't sound the same. I also bi-amped them but honestly I didn't notice a difference and decided to run them normal. I have to say I am more than pleased with how they sound and look for only 300 for the pair you can't go wrong. And kudos to crutchfield they came in a day early and have had no issues so hats off to them I will be buying everything from here, you've got a customer for life

After many years of service my former speakers, from a UK maker, had begun to sound very "muddy." Was looking for a reasonably priced replacement for a small "music room" and these Polk's turned out to be perfect. Am hearing highs and mid-range that were totally lost before and - for my application - the low end response is just fine, not booming, but present and very acceptable without a sub. Great value for money, so I am very pleased.

If these were bigger they would almost surely be 5-star speakers. I've been an audiophile for So many years. I've spent Thousands. I've learned to find High quality in smaller packages and for less money. I spent tons to learn how to do this. I've read all these other reviews, that these speakers are great But need to be "augmented" by some subwoofer or whatever. I know these "audiophiles." Everything has to be "augmented" somehow. Then it's Great! Pu-Leeez! For your money these speakers are simply fantastic. I already had a Polk CS10 center channel. It is voice-matched to the TSi series. I am architecturally limited to doing what I can with 3-channel home theater sound. Frankly, I't's all I really want. The TSi 300's offer full-boddied, rumbling bass (surprisingly deep) and very satisfying mids with crystal, crisp highs. Everything is there. Beautifully. I understand that some people just have to have their houses rocked off the foundations. The TSi 300's. matched withe the CS10 center channel and a Yamaha 75-watt AV receiver give me Awesome cd listening pleasure and home theater sound with deep, rumbling bass (how do they get that out of a package this size?!) and Crisp detail in all other parts of the range! I do stress that the 3-channel application with the CS10's and an AV receiver that is capable of being told what speaker configuration it is being used for is a very big part of My home theater situation. For me, it's an amazingly perfect blend. Amazing quality.
Pros: Ported design offers satisfyingly deep bass. Crystal highs and everything in between. Awesome sound with a minimal footprint. The cherry finish is very nice, too.
Cons: None for me.

Set up yesterday, it's run through a Pioneer receiver, and the sound is remarkable! It's simultaneously full and nuanced; it's well modulated and comes through smoothly. Great speakers, I couldn't be happier
Tom from Boston, MA on 11/9/2015
My 11 year old pair of Cambridge Soundworks T100 tower speakers blew out last spring, so after doing online research and seeing Crutchfield's great 60 day trial policy, I pulled the trigger on a ordering pair of the Polk TSi300s. They came in two days, probably less than 30 hours of my ordering them actually. They were easy to unpack and surprising light in the boxes. I hooked them up to my early 90s setup of a Denon DRA 345 receiver run through a home audio BBE Sonic Maximizer. My two main sources of music output are a bit newer school; playing music from my smart phone via a blue tooth connection to the receiver and second source of music is off my Samsung TV. I played the Talking Heads concert video "Stop Making Sense" and sounded it simply wonderful in nearly every audio setting on my Samsung smart tv. Playing music from Spotify on my phone such as Radiohead, Wilco, Miles Davis and Fela Kuti sounded equally sweet and satisfying. The highs and mids are crisp and clear and project beautifully without my needing to crank the volume which is important as I live in an apartment with neighbors on all sides. Though I have read many reviews that recommend subwoofer reinforcement, for my tastes, set up (namely the addition of the BBE unit) 300 sq ft hardwood floor living room, the bass is perfect, tight but without overpowering the clarity of the mids and highs. This has been one of the best purchasing decisions I've made in a long time and I'd highly recommend these.
Pros: - Sound Great, in small footprint - Perfect sound for small apartment
Cons: None

Finally convinced my mom(94) to purchase some better speakers and receiver. I found these speakers on sale at a great price and then saw an 'opened box' discount available at check out. Saved me(my mom) another $50. They showed up in 4 days. They are beautiful speakers with piano finish on the top which my mom loved. They sound sooo much better then the tiny Realistic one's she has used for at least 20 years. Connected to her new Yamaha R-S201 receiver the sound is very rich with sharp highs and decent bass. Overall, great shopping experience at Crutchfield.
Pros: Floor standing style is awesome, nice clean sound, beautiful finish

FSS - TSi300 review
CYCLE_MONKEY from Colorado on 5/14/2015
I bought a pair of these because I just got a 7.2 channel amp, and needed 2 front speakers to compliment the Polk Audio RM 7500 system I already had. My existing satellite speakers have a 1" silk dome tweeter, and a 5-1/4" midrange, with the center channel having 2 midranges. In talking with the customer service guy here, and talking with a Polk Audio tech, they both said that though these would not be a perfect voice match, it was REALY close, and should compliment the rest of my system nicely. In trying them out with my new Pioneer VSX-80 receiver, I think they work great. The front channels do most of the work, and frankly, I think these work better for the front speakers than the satellites, especially for music. Yes, with the small midranges, there's not a ton of bass, but the extension is lower, and that'a what i have the (PSW650 - 2 powered 10" drivers) subwoofer for. And so, with that setup, it works great. As part of a home theater system, I didn't want overpowering front channels compared to the satellites, and for this they work perfectly. In fact, I like this setup better because the font stage has more presence. For music, they're certainly better, though I'll probably buy a dedicated set of full-range speakers as my "B" set to switch to if I'm just listening to music. And for that, I'll be looking at much bigger, more powerful speakers. In a nutshell, I really like these speakers. They have the usual great Polk sound, and at a great price point.
Pros: Great speakers for the price! I especially like the shiny plastic tops, they match almost perfectly with the RM 7500 speakers I have.
Cons: They weren't free??? Other than that, nothing I can say.

These are matched with a pair of Polk R40 speakers - the sound of the TSi300 Speakers is spacious, has depth, and for me represent great value for the money. I am an audiophile who started in the sixties and, have owned JBL's, Klipsch bookshelfs, KLH, and Advent Speakers ! Love the sound quality !

Quality sound and good value
Clark from North Carolina on 2/8/2015
I am very satisfied with my choice and the sound advice Crutchfield people gave me in making this choice. The 300s sound very good in my 11X11 studio with hardwood floors. No subwoofer required since I listen mostly to jazz and classical music. They are an especially attractive choice now since they have been discontinued and discounted.
Pros: Quality sound at an excellent price, well suited to my music and my space. I don't need to but for fun I plan to bi-amp them.
Cons: None

Smooth and fun

I sold Hi Fi...OK, mid fi, back in the day when Polk was just making their mark. I loved Polk speakers, they were the Toyota of Hi Fi back then, they just went about making musical speakers and allowed beer budget, budding audiophiles a taste of the good stuff. They sounded great on all kinds of music, and they were affordable. Nothing has changed. I love this speaker, it is in a word, sweet. I threw jazz, classical, Metallica, you name it at this speaker, and it took it all in stride. They look good, take up little space, and with the port at the bottom, they aren't as picky about placement as some other ported speakers. They aren't perfect though. I ran them in a typical living room setup with and without a Polk sub, and with old school NAD amplification without a sub. I also compared them directly to the Pioneer SP-FS52 designed by Andrew Jones. The Polks are fabulous with a sub. However, so are the Pioneers. The Polks deliver a smooth, uncolored sound with fat (in a good way) bass, and a slightly boxy, recessed mid range. Very pleasant to listen to on all types of music. However the Pioneers have a more refined mid range and high end that showcase the Polk's flaws. The high end is detailed, but a bit forward and splashy, where as the Pioneers are more detailed and controlled. Bass is tighter and more accurate with the Pioneers, and there is more punch and speed evident. I like em both, and I'm keeping both! Polk brings it, but they can be bested.
Pros: Smooth, musical, wonderful bass, smart looking in a small footprint. Bi-amp capable. Sound great on a variety of music. Don't need a lot of power to shine. No serious flaws, affordable almost audiophile sound. Polk continues its tradition of hitting above its weight. Many hi end speakers fall short of the Polk objective of creating speakers for music lovers without the bloated price. Kudos Polk.
Cons: Splashy high end, less punchy dynamics than some competitors. A little chesty sounding. Nit picking, really.

Just Right!
Antoine from Louisiana on 1/3/2015
The TSI300's are very nice! they sound great with my Yamaha RXV-465. When I hooked them up, I thought they sounded distorted on the low end. The bass just would not come out smooth no matter how low or high I adjusted the bass. I added a Polk sub and got the same results. The sub was distorted too. Just when I got fed up and was ready to return the speakers, I clicked OFF the sound enhancer button on the receiver and Bingo, the bass and everything else was fixed! The bass was clean no matter what I did to the EQ and at any volume! Smooth, clear, quality sound with movies, music, etc.. with or without the sub. Sounds even better WITHOUT the center channel(sold the center). The Yamaha rxv-465 sound enhancer was the problem(sounds bad on music with bass with any speaker). A Pair of tsi300's, a sub, and a a/v receiver capable of 2.1 surround sound sounds just right!
Pros: Sounds great and they ain't cheap looking! Can't go wrong with the 300's
Cons: What?

Michael from Bangor, MI on 9/24/2014
I have paired these speakers with a Yamaha a1020 in Bi-amp mode. In stereo mode with the sub turned off, these speakers have a sound and clarity that is nearly indescribable. From stereo sound to front channel job in movies, they can't do wrong. To see what these could do for an old amp I connected them to a Kenwood VR-306 from 1998, Bi-wired. Nearly the same result, the a1020 is a hard act to follow. On the other hand, I would recommend the TSI300's for those looking to add clarity and depth to an aging system. They allow for later expandability with a present day upgrade. It's hard to find fault in the design. I would expect something of this caliber to be twice the cost but, thank you Polk and Crutchfield for not making that so. If you're looking for quality, you found it.
Pros: Frequency Response Bi-amp/wire Capability Sophisticated Appearance

Excellent Value
Elblat from Socorro, NM on 5/23/2014
Even after reading the reviews and doing the research, I wasn't expecting such a lovely-sounding speaker at this price. What other reviewers have said is generally true, they do sound a bit bright at first but that does seem to mellow out just fine. The low bass is weak as one would expect for a small speaker but it is clean and tight and rolls off smoothly with no hint of port noise. I use them with a subwoofer in a small room so the bass response is not an issue for me. What Polk appears to have done here is match a capable tweeter very precisely with a well damped and baffled ported woofer system. The result is clean, detailed highs with nice imaging and sound stage, no noticeable humps, dips, or resonances all the way down to where the bass falls out yielding musical midrange and accurate mid-bass. I am very pleased with these and they actually sound better to me than some much more expensive speakers (purely subjective of course as the setups and rooms were different). They get more than loud enough for me in a small room and don't seem to strain or color when driven. Voices and instruments sound real, which to me is the ultimate criterion. Lastly, our bird seems to enjoy them. The first time I tried them out the bird perked up and started dancing and singing to the music, much more enthusiastically and happily than with the old bookshelf speakers we were using before. The bird still loves them, so they have one bird's approval as well.
Pros: Great sound! Inexpensive! Can get loud but stay clean-sounding Look quite nice Decent sensitivity
Cons: A subwoofer is helpful/needed The dual binding post system is a bit finicky

I lucked out and picked up these for a song! On super sale last fall 2013. Bi-Amped them with 90 watts to each set of binding posts. Cranked them for about a month and fell in love with the POLK TSi series. Since then I bought the CS20 center channel, and the TSi 400's,TSi 100's and the 440pro wi sub. Im a POLK fan for life. The TSi300's broke open into great sound after that first month. Now seven months into their break in I'm eve more impressed. Crutchfield is my source for expert knowledge and great service.

DariusB from Boise, ID on 3/3/2014
Not an audiophile, but I know what I like. These speakers are primarily used for a home theater set-up in a medium sized room...probably 18' x 18' but open to a larger great-room. These speakers are combined with a Polk CS10 center channel and RC80i rear speakers...and a 12" sub. I can't compare this set-up with anything else since it is replacing a non-surround set-up. There really is no comparison in that regard. This set-up provides an imersive environmentfor both movies and gaming. I've watched movies at other' house that have the smaller kit speakers and I can say that these provide a much more rich and full range sound. They met my expectations and exceeded my needs for the price. As a minor plus, they look nice as well...the piano finish on the top is a nice addition.
Pros: Full range performance, looks.

I purchased these TSi's as front speakers for my 7.1 home theater system in my family room. My system is a Sony 46" XBR HD TV powered by a Marantz SR 6005 AV Surround Home Theater Receiver. The front speakers are the Polk TSi 300 floor speakers with a Paradigm Cinema CC Monitor Series center speaker and a Infinity PS 28 powered subwoofer. The back speakers are Definitive Technology Pro Monitor 800 bookshelf speakers and Mirage Nanostat satellite speakers for the surround sides. The size of my family room is approx. 20 x 14 feet. I just watched the Blu-Ray by Marvel "The Avengers" in 7.1 audio and like I said it rocked the house down. The high and low output from the new front TSi 300 speakers is amazing. The Polk speakers sit on both sides of the couch and are pointed to the recliner across the living room. Even sitting in the middle of the couch, the sound is incredible. I have to look around to verify that no one is playing the music live behind me. The value of this purchase through Crutchfield is excellent, the speakers sound great and there are no shipping/handling charges or tax.
Pros: Mid- and high-range response is great!
Cons: Bass is acceptable for the large volume of living room (16x18x20). I retained the use of my Klipsch subwoofer to help complete the aural experience.

Doesn't get any better for the money you pay for these!!
Pedrin from Toa alta, PR on 8/5/2013
I've compered these speaker with many other well know speaker companies and I have to admit that I was amazed when these ones came up to the stage. I wasn't a big polk audio fan but after listening to the "cheap small" tsi series I was sorpised. The speaker Very well built. Quality materials and a very unique desing that matches any moder decoration (my wife likes them) again these are the bottom and smallest in the tsi series. Bi-amp capable which is very rare in this price piont. Performance Vs, klipsh, energy (floor stander) and infinity and bose, I have to say that polk was the best to my ears. You got it let it break in. These don't have that much bass you really need a sub for home theater application. The mids are clear but the heights are very impressive even at very very hight volume. Over all they are the beets for the money even though there are better speakers then these. If you are looking for great performance without sacrificing you wallet this is the way to go. Crutchfield is amazing the transaction was smooth and incredible fast shipping. I got all the tsi series and the cs10 with a psw111 that I got for free back in December!!
Pros: Advance features in low cost speakers. Performed better then expected!! Very stable and reliable! Great looking too!! Small for a floor stand speaker but big sound.
Cons: Tweeter is not in the top part of the cabinet, I'm tall, when I sit down the tweeter is not to my ear level. Sound great anyway!

PolkAudio TSi 300 home speaker
Sonic_Boom from Carson City, NV on 6/15/2013
This is the second TSi 300 I bought, I recently upgraded my HT system to TSi 500's(4), for the front and surround and a pair of TSi 400's for the rear. Like a lot of people I put the "old" system into the kids room. It has four TSi 400's and two 300's, and a CS10. I like Polk Audio TS series speakers because they look nice, aren't real expensive, sound great for what I payed, and are readily available. I don't need a ton of power to get good sound out of them, they don't eat up a lot of floor space. I'm using an older Yamaha 7.2 A/V amp. in the other room with a PS3 and a Sony 52" XBR5. In an average sized room with this set up, and two Polk PW10 sub woofers, it's great for most movie/game use. Also Polk has been making these for awhile, I bought 4 TSi 100's in '08, so if I need to add or upgrade I can mix and match and they sound good together. My system is now one 400 short so I'll be buying another one of those soon. All in all I'd reccomend these speakers to someone looking for a great sounding, inexpensive, attractive, well built speaker that still sounds fantastic even after years of use. Another nice feature is the floor standing ones are versatile, easily to place, move around, and have pointy feet to keep them located. Anyone looking for a bookshelf type speaker may be interested in these as they are at the right height for listening.
Pros: A lot of people sell them, Big box stores sell them at a discount in an "open box" condition, so pricing is attractive. They match other manufactures finish(s). They have good mid and high range, bass output is descent, however for movie watching(I watch Blu rays), I think a sub woofer is a must with these types of speakers, two subs would be even better I guess. I think I own twenty or so of the various sizes in the TSi series, from the 100 to the 500's, never had any problems with any of them.
Cons: None really, If I had to do it over again, I'd save up or find some TSi 500's on sale or whatever and get those(space permitting). Other than that for under $200(ea.), the TSi 300's are a fine sounding speaker.

Beautiful sound - Attractive price. The Pold Audio TSi 300 speakers are fantastic. These speakers handle any and all material played through them quite well. Admittedly, I was listening for the low end performance and they sound particularly good on when playing movies and and games. Can you get better sound? These are great sounding speakers. I replaced some older (1974!) Panasonic Technics speakers and I couldn't be happier. I'm no expert audiophile but I do appreciate crisp clear and clean sound coming from my sound system and I am getting that from these. I bought a pair, one was "Scratch & Dent" and the other was "Open Box" which saved me about $60.00. I can't find a scratch or a dent and the "Open Box" was re-taped so all-in-all that was a good deal.
Pros: Terrifically clear sound in beautiful cabinetry. Awesome service as always from Crutchfield.

I like speakers that look beautiful as well as sounding great.....The veneer cabinets of the TSi300 are stunning (I have the cherrywood finish). Now for the sound...these speakers are quite good for the money. I have not heard a better pair in the $400 price range. Good bass response, although not quite as defined as I prefer but again, for the money this is a killer set of speakers. I use them for the TV, playing DVD's and CD's, and I'm very happy with this purchase.

I feel that they are still a good value at list price which is twice that amount. The speakers could have a little more bass but that's what subs are for. Hooked these up to a Yamaha surround sound amp and a couple of Polk Audio book shelf speakers with a Sony center channel speaker as well. They sound fine. No complaints. I didn't expect alot of big strong sound, and they don't put out alot of big strong sound. They're nice low end speakers.
Pros: Nice low end speakers for a surround sound system.
Cons: They're not big on bass or powerful strong speakers. But I didn't really expect that with small 6 inch speakers. Good speakers but not going to impress anyone.

Polk Audio TSi 300
J.B. from Lawton (America), ie...Oklahoma on 5/13/2012
After having spent about 3 months with these speakers I have found them to be suitable to my current needs. They replaced a pair of Cerwin Vega RE-38's that I had for about 10 years that walked off a cliff like a pair of lemmings along with my Sony receiver. Due to budgetary issues I had to start back at the bottom end (in my opinion) in putting together a new system. The TSi's though are in no comparison to the Vega's in the bass department, but they stand on their own in the area of sound clarity. I have always been of the opinion that bigger is always better, but the TSi's have somewhat changed my opinion in that area. They take up much less real estate and I have paired them with the Polk Audio PSW111 sub-woofer which makes up for their lack of outlandish bass that I had been used too (though not fully, but it does hit those lows in just the right spots). I have everything connected to a Denon ARV-1911 which I am growing more attached to everyday. Looking forward to putting my pennies together in order that I may purchase Polk Audio's more advanced RTi A9's down the line and further upgrade the sub and the rest of my components.
Pros: Sound clarity, small overall imprint, quality construction.

TSi300
RickG from Charlotte, NC on 3/25/2012
I bought these as my primary front speakers for a 5.1 system in my main living area. I use them for about 50% music and 50% tv/movies. I wanted to get the 400's, but my available floor space had me limited. I was concerned the 300's might disappoint me. The Crutchfield rep told me I needn't worry, especially if I was going to Bi-amp them. I bought them knowing I could return them and trade up, if needed. He was right. These speakers fill my living area (with a vaulted ceiling) with rich and full sound. I am totally satisfied. Thanks, Crutchfield!
Pros: Bi-Amping these speakers really turns them on.

Polk Audio TSi300 floor standing speakers
Tom S. from Juneau, Alaskas on 3/2/2012
The Polk Audio TSi300 floor standing speakers are amazing, along with the other Polk speakers I purchased for a 7.1 surround sound system. The speakers were easy to set up, option of bare wire or banana plug. They are impressive looking and sound even better. A great speaker for the price.

huge improvement
harry homeowner from Woodbridge, VA on 2/4/2012
I used two of the Polk TSi 300's to replace the front speakers in my theater room and they make a incredible difference! I also purchased a sub, but these speakers could allow one to even skip the sub-woofer (although 500watts of sub-woofer is nice). Anyway, I'm no expert, but the clarity and shear crisp "loadness" of these speakers is amazing....needless to say, I like them.
Pros: sound quality and look
Cons: none to note

No Subwoofer Required
MikeM from Charlotte, NC on 5/23/2011
I bought these speakers because I wanted a small fullrange speaker without having to use a Sub. I live in a townhouse so sometimes when I watch a movie or listen to music I get a text or phone call from the neighbors. Without a sub I can turn the TSi's up and have enough bass to enjoy video or music. No more complaints from neighbors. One more comment....With the two 5.25 drivers these seem to have better midrange than some bookshelf speakers with a 6.5.

Polk Audio TSi300

Outstanding sound quality from these mid-tower speakers. I am using them along with other Polk speakers for my 3-D home theatre system and they are wonderful! Especially with the Polk subwoofer, I have terrific surround sound since I am using these mini-towers as my rear surround speakers. Great value for the money, IMO!

Great for theater fronts
WFN from Madison, NC on 3/9/2011
Purchased a set of TSi300's for my front left and right. I'm using them in a bi-amp configuration by taking the speaker jumper bar out and using the Denon surround amp for the upper speakers. Sounds very nice. Not sure why, but I actually liked the sound of these over the TSi400's even though they are more $$.
