Infinity takes a page from its home playbook for its Kappa 100.3se 10" subwoofer. This sub's Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (C.M.M.D.) uses the same trademarked technology found in Infinity's acclaimed home speakers.

C.M.M.D. combines an aluminum core with a layer of ceramic material, for a cone that remains rigid while the sub's surging with bass. C.M.M.D. also resists deterioration due to damage from moisture, extreme temperatures, and sunlight. It's the perfect material for use in cars, and you get it only from Infinity.

Infinity designs the 100.3se for maximum excursion, equipping it with a polished pole piece with flared vents (for cool operation), a flat progressive spider, and a rugged, butyl rubber surround.

Features

Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (C.M.M.D.): Infinity's C.M.M.D. technology eliminates coloration due to cone breakup modes, dramatically reducing distortion.

Butyl Rubber Surround: The butyl rubber surround offers excellent cone-edge suspension, important for high-excursion drivers.

5-way Binding Posts: The gold-plated binding posts will accept pin connectors, spade connectors, banana plugs, dual banana plugs, and up to 8 gauge bare wire. Before using banana plugs, you must unscrew the binding post nuts and remove the plastic plugs. After the plugs are removed, the binding post nuts can be reinstalled.

Enclosure Compatibility: This woofer can provide extended bass in sealed, vented and bandpass enclosures (please see the "Specifications" section for more information on the recommended enclosures).

Specifications

Recommended Sealed Box Volume: Infinity recommends a sealed enclosure with an internal volume of 0.75 cu/ft.

Recommended Vented Box Volume: Infinity recommends a vented enclosure with an internal volume of 1.5 cu/ft. One 3" diameter x 9.2" long port should be used with a 1.5 cu/ft enclosure.

Recommended Single Reflex Bandpass Box Volume: Infinity recommends a bandpass enclosure with a sealed chamber volume of 0.7 cu/ft and a vented chamber volume of 0.7 cu/ft. One 3" diameter x 6.15" long port should be used with this enclosure.
