You probably spend more time listening to music in your car than in your home. Why not enjoy home speaker sound quality when you're on the road?

Infinity Reference 4012i 4" speakers feature silk dome tweeters that would be right at home in your living room speakers. These sweet-sounding domes deliver crisp, clear response, yet won't fatigue the ears.

Infinity designed their Plus One+ woofers with more surface area than other 4" speakers, for higher efficiency and improved bass output. A sturdy rubber Hi-roll surround allows plenty of room for the cone to move in its non-resonant powder-coated steel basket.

Settle into the driver's seat and make the most of your daily drive time with the exceptional sound of Infinity Reference speakers.

Infinity Reference 4012i ok speakers, good price. . .

i put them in my old 1989 toyota corrola station wagon. it has a stock reciever and "front only" speakers. the wagons came that way with no rear speakers so i had to make do. the speakers sound fine but can't seem to handle too much more of what little bass the car has, however, they do NOT crack or pop. also, they will play loud(almost to the max without distortion). they're OK for a clearance priced item and i recomend them for normal listening. good luck!

Infinity Reference 4012i great buy for the money

I bought these speakers about 3 months ago and they are easily the best thing you can get for the money. People say the bass isn't great but for a 4" speaker it has good response. I have a 94 corolla and it took me about 50 minutes to get them both in the front door, they fit right in the previous mounts. They sound way better than the stock speakers and thats with the stock stereo. Yesterday i just bought the JVC KD-HDR1 receiver to boost the watts to both the front infinity's and the back 6 1/2" pioneers. After that im probably going to install one or two subs for bass. Over all a great buy and no problems.

Who are you people giving these speakers such great reviews? Haven't you heard a good sounding speaker? ....These are horrible. They absolutely have no bass, and distort when you try to turn up the bass on the radio.

Great Sound

This speakers sound really great, even with my factory installed stereo. They deliver decent bass sound and very good highs for 4 inch speakers. I love the way they sound, and so do my friends.

bought these for my Toyota pickup, had to cut 2 of the tabs off, no biggie. compared to the stock papers these rock! for the price they are great speakers and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others, or install them in a different vehicle.

Great for a small speaker

I was skeptical about these speakers, but needed replacements for shot factory speakers in a daily driver I recently purchased. If you are looking for good sound from a small speaker, these would be hard to beat. I am not running any amps in this vehicle; they do a decent job at regular listening levels. Handle bass better than I expected, but still don't compare to a larger speakers, so don't expect thumping bass.

Excellant 4" Speaker

I hooked these speakers up next to some old Alpine 6"X9"s (about 25 years old). WOW. I was not expecting any base response in that a 4" speaker is not designed for base response. I've installed them in the kick panels of a 68 GTO convertible. Very comprable sound! I also will be installing an amp (yet undetermined) to drive a total of 8 channels. Ive been working on my sound system for close to a year and these speakers are great tune-ups.

These speakers produce a great quality sound. I dont usually run amps, and these speakers make the most of head unit only system, being very efficient and bright and clear. I made the mistake of putting them in a system with pioneer 6x9s in the back. The pioneers are good sounding, but the infinitys shadow them out so much with better and brighter sound, that I am back to buy a matching set of Infinity 6x9s for the system.

Bigger than their size suggests

I am becoming a big fan of Infinity speakers. I have a pair of 60.7 Components and bought these 4012i speakers from Crutchfield for the rear fill in the rear doors of my Subaru Forester. They are not a direct replacement as the tweeters extend too far beyond the grill covers but I am cutting a hole in the covers so they stick through then will trim that hole with a grommet. In any case they sound bigger than their 4 inch size, especially with a good door seal and sufficient sound deadening. Awesome little speakers!

I really wasn't expecting much from these speakers seeing as they are only 4 inch speakers, boy was I suprised! I had to replace my rear speakers a while back because they were shot in my Geo Prizm, I put some cheap two way Pioneers in and they made it sound better then I expected, so I bought a Pioneer 2900 head unit to finish the package. The problem was my stock front speakers blew almost immediatly after I put in the new head unit, so I was looking into buying some more Pioneers since they had been good so far. But then I saw these Infinitys that were marked down for the same price and were more powerful! These speakers hit the highs so well that I was blown away when i tried them for the first time, my system now has a great surround sound to it, I am very impressed.

Great Replacements

I have a 1993 Lexus LS400, and had several blown out speakers. The Nakamichi speakers were 5 inches, and no companies make that size speaker anymore. Buck helped me find a set of speakers that would fit my car, and for a great price. The new reference speakers deliver a crisp sound and a solid bass. The installation could not have been easier. The only adjustment I had to make was get a better fitting connector, which anyone can find at a hardware store. The infinity reference speakers are the perfect option for someone looking to improve their car's sound quality for small cost and little effort.

Had exactly the same issue as above reviewer: 3 out of 4 dead speakers in a 1990 LS400 Nakamichi. These Infinitis were a perfect size replacement and sound better, too. They are a little brighter than the OEM Nakamichis, but a small treble reduction fixes that.

I bought these speakers to replace the 3 1/2's in my dash and realized they wouldnt fit in there so i cut holes in the doorpanels of my 87 regal and routed the wires through. I have to say that these speakers really exeeded my expectations. I have them hooked up to my clarion db355mp head unit and they really sound beautiful. They have great bass response, and really nice highs and also look really good. I can play them really loud and they do not distort and they keep a crisp sound. The bass from these little guys is amazing, I would never expect sound this big from a little set of 4" speakers, I am a big infinity fan from now on. I also have to say that crutchfield's service is amazing and I got these in 3 days with free wiring harnesses. I also bought them 'scratch and dent' and the only flaw i could find was an extremely small scratch in the woofer cone that I can even see unless i hold it up to my face, and the grill covers it, so it was definatley worth my money saved.

When I logged on to your website Monday, April 25th there was no speaker application for my car. It is a 1992 Lexus LS400 with the optional Nakamichi 7 speaker stereo. I spoke with Bryce there and he suggested I try the Infinity 4012i speakers. I ordered 2 sets immediately after. They arrived on Wednesday, April 27th. The only modification required was to change the size of the input connectors to match the ones on the speaker. I finished installing them on Wednesday and they sound great. (This car has a lot of sound deadening as well as a ported box that the speakers sit in.) Thanks for the great service and Bryce's suggestion. I am very impressed with the speakers.

Features

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone significantly larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and a significant increase in efficiency.

Woofer Materials: Each woofer is constructed from Injection-Molded Polypropylene. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. It is also lighter weight and more rigid for decreased distortion and improved bass response.

Hi-roll Rubber Surrounds: The hi-roll rubber surrounds allow the woofers a greater range of movement, resulting in longer X-max and more bass output.

3/4" Silk Dome Tweeters: Each speaker uses a 3/4" edge-driven silk dome tweeter for smooth, accurate highs.
