Features
Overview: The Infinity BassLink SM2 compact powered subwoofer features a single 8" driver powered by a 125W RMS (250W Peak) built-in amplifier, and housed in a compact sealed enclosure that's designed to fit under seats and in tight spaces.
- Note: The Infinity BassLink SM2 does not include any wiring; a 10 ga. amp wiring kit is recommended (sold separately).
Enclosure Type and Materials: The enclosure is made of an acoustically inert polymer which is rigid enough to resist flexing and dampens any resonance.
Class D Amplifier: This unit has a built-in 125 watt Class D amplifier which is highly efficient and designed specifically for use with the included 8" subwoofer driver.
Audio Inputs: The Infinity BassLink SM2 features both low-level RCA inputs as well as speaker-level inputs via a 7.5" 4-pin harness. If using speaker-level inputs, a corresponding Audio Sense switch can be set to ON, allowing the amp to automatically power on with an incoming audio signal, and eliminating the need for running a remote turn-on wire from the headunit. If using the RCA inputs, a remote turn-on wire will need to be run from the headunit.
Input Load: This 2-way switch determines the impedance load the amp will place on the speaker-level inputs, either10kΩ or 120Ω, based on the amount of noise produced by the radio. For most factory systems, the higher setting will be the most common choice, but some factory systems may produce less noise if set to the lower selection. Selection is based off of noise level. If using RCA low-level inputs, the Input Load switch has no effect.
Low-Pass Crossover: The low-pass crossover frequency can be varied from 50Hz to 120Hz for a seamless transition between the output of this unit and that of the other speakers in the vehicle. The crossover has a slope of 12dB per octave.
Bass Boost: The amplifier includes a continuously adjustable bass boost from 0dB to +9dB centered at 70Hz.
Phase Switch: Allows you to select normal or reverse for best bass.
Level: This rotary control determines the amount of input signal, with either high- or low-level inputs, and has the following sensitivity range:
- Low: 0.05V - 2.0V
- High: 0.5V - 20V
Power: The power (+12V), ground, and remote turn-on connections are on a terminal strip; each screw terminal is approximately 0.34" wide. Infinity recommends 12-gauge (minimum) power and ground wires. The amp is protected by a 15A ATC fuse that's pre-installed.
Mounting: With a height of 2-7/8", the BassLink SM2 can be mounted flat under a wide variety of vehicle seats, as well as in the trunks of most vehicles. Mounting hardware is provided.
Remote Bass Control (RBC): The included Remote Bass Control (RBC) is a wired remote bass knob which allows you control the bass level of your Infinity BassLink SM2 remotely from the front of the vehicle. The Remote Bass Control (RBC) comes with a 16.5' cable, terminated in RJ-25 connectors, and features integrated mounting flanges for mounting it under your dash with the provided hardware.

Sounds great just doesn't hit hard. If your only looking to improve factory sound this is it. If you are looking for a bit of bump just not annoy the neighbors then go with a 10 inch powered sub. Worked great and sounded good just didn't have the boom I wanted.
