They are awesome and DO fit in a Chevy S-10 with slight Mod
Matt from Mesa, AZ on 2/1/2022
These work fantastic in a 2000 Chevy S10 with slight modification. I added an additional mounting plate on the bottom, about 1/8" think, contact cemented it on. Then I added a strip of 3/8" bulb seal all the way around, and dropped them in with the tweeter facing the outside corner. They fit tight but perfect and sealed flawlessly when tightening them down. See the photo. These speakers absolutely ROCK. I love the +3 dB tweeter boost button. They blew the old Pioneers I had outa the water. Pushing with a Alpine 45 watt booster and Alpine 172BT head unit. These are flawless even at very high volume. Don't hesitate to spend the extra money on these, they are very worth it. I'm coupling them with 6.5" Infinity 6532IX door speakers and a Rockville RW10CA slim sub, the whole system is an awesome upgrade for a small pickup.
Pros: Everything. Flawless clear sound and loud, with a +3 dB tweeter boost button.
Cons: None but the price! They really should cost a bit less even though they are great.

I just put these in the dash of a 2000 Chevy S-10. They fit with only slight modification. I added a 1/8" thick additional mounting plate on the bottom from some other speakers I had (I just contact cemented them on they matched the Infinity plate well), then used 5/16" bulb weather seal all the way around and mounted them with the tweeters facing the outside corner. It's a tight fit on both sides, but works flawlessly and seals perfect when you screw them down. See the screen shot. This is a FANTASTIC set of speakers. I love the +3 tweeter boost. They sound incredible with no distortion whatsoever pushing with Alpine 45 watt booster and Alpine HU 172BT. I highly recommend spending the extra money, they blew my old Pioneers out of the water. You will not regret it, guaranteed!

Speakers sound great and handle quite a bit of power for their size
Pros:
Cons: The Infinity Reference 6x9s connected to same amp with same power produce so much more volume than these, it is difficult to tell they are making sound.

sounds great, installed easily but one speaker came with the plastic frame cracked and I didn't feel like going through the whole process to return them and wait for another especially considering one had already been installed
Pros: good sound, good fit, came with all the install materials
Cons: the frame is plastic and one of them came broken from factory or due to shipping

These are the forth pair of speakers that I have installed in the dash of my 1990 Jeep Wrangler yj. This time I took the time to remove the 30-40 bolts, and screws, and laid the windshield down, to install them. Always before I had done the contortionist thing and installed them from the bottom of the dash. I wish I would have laid the windshield down on previous installations. It took almost 2 hours exactly, and a little more work. However, I saved a ton of cuts on my hands, and creative-colorful loud language. The installation is also much cleaner, and tighter. Now on to the speakers, they sound great. I am driving them with a 60 watt Sound Ordnance amp. For the type of vehicle, and placement; they are the perfect fit. I am extremely happy with them.
Pros: Perfect fit, sound great!
Cons: None.

I decided to replace my factory speakers with something new. I picked up a set of pio.... and wasn't impressed by them. I did a bit of research which lead me to these. I don't run and amp but the power , sound they put out is astonishing. I highly recommend, if not this size , this series of speakers. You would be disappointed. Thanks again crutchfield for your easy install .
Pros: Sound quality, power, easy install.

I purchased the Infinity Kappa 64CFX speakers for my 2018 Kenworth. I replaced the 4 stock speakers and sound was definitely improved. They fit perfect in the same spots where the stock speakers came out of. The only con I see is that there was no extr speaker wire or contacts for the Infinity speakers.
Pros: Excellent Sound, Perfect drop in replacement.
Cons: No Extra speaker wir or contacts. No speaker grill.

Mounted Perfectly and Sound Beautiful
Benny from Strasburg, PA on 2/3/2018
Bought these speakers to put in a 98 Peterbilt 379 with a bunk to replace the stock speakers. Not only did they have holes that worked perfectly with the stock dust covers and the mounting upholstery washers, but they really push low frequency and mid range well which mixes nicely with the high frequency. Obviously being only 4 x 6 speakers they won't wake the neighborhood with volume, but they will certainly be able to blow your eardrums with well-mixed sound.
Pros: Mounting holes cover most applications Great sound for being small speakers Well mixed sound right out of the box
Cons: Small negative pin won't allow use of old speaker plugs, but you can just wire a new one up
