About the Infinity Primus 6002A
If you want to improve the sound in your vehicle without emptying your bank account, Infinity's Primus 6002A 2-channel amplifier may be just what you're looking for. This little powerhouse will send a pair of speakers 60 watts RMS each, adding the detail and punch that a car stereo just can't muster. You can also run the amp in 1-channel bridged mode to power a subwoofer with 140 watts RMS.
Works in almost any vehicle
Speaker-level inputs allow this amplifier to work with almost any system, which is handy if you're keeping your factory radio. Separate high- and low-pass filters help the amp do its job, whether it's driving speakers or a subwoofer. You can use the built-in bass boost to add more low-frequency fun.

Power Output: The Infinity Primus 6002a 2-channel amplifier delivers 60 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms, and 70 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms. The power output at 4 ohms bridged is 140 watts RMS x 1. The amp's total peak power is 280 watts.
Protection Circuitry: The amplifier features protection circuitry for thermal overload, DC voltage on the audio output, over- or under-voltage (<9V or >16V), and short circuits. The LED on the end of the amp glows red if the amp goes into protection mode.
Gain: The Primus 6002a's rotary gain control let you match the amp's input sensitivity to the output of the source unit. The input sensitivity range of the amplifier 0.2V - 5V for a line-level input, and 0.5V - 12V for speaker-level input. A small screwdriver (not included) is required to set the gain.
Crossover: The amp features a switchable crossover that can be set to Low Pass, High Pass, or Full Range. If set to Low Pass or High Pass, the cutoff frequency can be set between 32Hz and 320Hz. The crossover has a 12dB per octave slope. A small screwdriver is required to adjust the frequency.
Bass EQ: The amplifier's Bass EQ circuit lets you increase the bass output from 0dB to 12dB at 45Hz.
Terminals: The Infinity Primus 6002a uses screw terminals for the +12V power, ground, turn-on (remote) lead, and speaker outputs. The screws can be tightened/loosened with a Phillips-head or flat-head screwdriver (not provided).
Power/Ground: The +12V Power and Ground terminals will accept up to 4-gauge wire. It is recommended that you use a minimum of 10 AWG power wire to the battery, with an in-line 20A fuse installed no more than 18" from the battery terminal. A 10 AWG ground wire (minimum) is also recommended, and attached to a metal area close to the amplifier.
Remote Turn-On: The Remote screw terminal will accept up to 8 AWG wire. Typically, an 18 AWG turn-on lead is included in an amplifier wiring kit.
Speaker Outputs: The amp features screw terminals for connecting two speakers. The amplifier's minimum speaker impedance is 2 ohms in stereo or 4 ohms bridged.
Speaker-Level Input: The amp includes a speaker-level input harness for connecting the amp to a factory radio or aftermarket head unit. You should splice left and right speaker wires from the head unit to the harness and plug the harness into the amp.
Line-Level Inputs: The amplifier is equipped with one pair of RCA inputs for connecting stereo RCA patch cables from the head unit to the amp.
