About the Infinity Primus 6004a
If you want to improve the sound in your vehicle without emptying your bank account, Infinity's Primus 6004a 4-channel amplifier may be just what you're looking for. This little powerhouse will send 60 watts RMS to each of your front and rear speakers, adding the detail and punch that a car stereo just can't muster. Or, you could power your front pair of speakers with the front two channels, then power a subwoofer with up to 140 watts RMS from the rear channels in bridged mode.
Works in almost any vehicle
Speaker-level inputs allow this amplifier to work with almost any system, which is handy if you're keeping your factory radio. Separate high- and low-pass filters help the amp do its job, whether it's driving speakers or a subwoofer. You can use the built-in bass boost to add more low-frequency fun.

Infinity Primus 6004a reviews
This compact amplifier is amazing! I read the reviews of hearing about electrical noise so I ran a ground wire the same length of the power wire to the battery, and it sounds amazing! I couldn't go that loud before with an aftermarket head unit, but now it's loud and clear! The HPF is really nice especially sense I have a subwoofer. Definitely recommend this amp!!
Pros: Loud and clear! Compact size Able to adjust the front and rears to sound different

Great little amp for the price. Really brought out the kicker CS series speakers I installed in my 17 Tacoma. Real good bass response on the 6x9's and clarity. Fits right under the seat. Have it hooked up to the factory head unit using AudioControls LC6i (should have gotten the LC7 for the extra feature of the bass adjustment ). Only thing is that I get electrical noise with this amp. Adjusted the gains with a digital O-scope for proper level adjustments
Pros: Performs great for the price. Will give you big sound and has all the features you need to adjust your sound.
Cons: Electrical noise..... even with proper grounding.

Nice small size. Good price. Sounds good except for electric noise. Hooked up high level. Everyone I talked to says to install high level ground to chassis. One said to amp. Connected to chassis, still have noise.
Pros: Small, cheap
Cons: Engine noise.

Power Output: The Infinity Primus 6004a 4-channel amplifier delivers 60 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms, and 70 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms. The power output at 4 ohms bridged is 140 watts RMS x 2. The amp's total peak power is 560 watts.
Protection Circuitry: The amplifier features protection circuitry for thermal overload, DC voltage on the audio output, over- or under-voltage (<9V or >16V), and short circuits. The LED on the end of the amp glows red if the amp goes into protection mode.
Gain: The Primus 6004a's rotary gain control let you match the amp's input sensitivity to the output of the source unit. The input sensitivity range of the amplifier 0.2V - 5V for a line-level input, and 0.5V - 12V for speaker-level input. Separate gain controls are provided for the front (Ch1 + Ch2) and rear (Ch3 + Ch4) channels. A small screwdriver (not included) is required to set the gain.
Crossover: The amp features a switchable crossover that can be set to Low Pass, High Pass, or Full Range. If set to Low Pass or High Pass, the cutoff frequency can be set between 32Hz and 320Hz. The crossover has a 12dB per octave slope. Separate crossover controls are provided for the front (Ch1 + Ch2) and rear (Ch3 + Ch4) channels. A small screwdriver is required to adjust the frequency.
Bass EQ: The amplifier's Bass EQ circuit lets you increase the bass output from 0dB to 12dB at 45Hz. Separate Bass EQ controls are provided for the front (Ch1 + Ch2) and rear (Ch3 + Ch4) channels.
Terminals: The Infinity Primus 6004a uses screw terminals for the +12V power, ground, turn-on (remote) lead, and speaker outputs. The screws can be tightened/loosened with a Phillips-head or flat-head screwdriver (not provided).
Power/Ground: The +12V Power and Ground terminals will accept up to 4-gauge wire. It is recommended that you use a minimum of 8 AWG power wire to the battery, with an in-line 30A fuse installed no more than 18" from the battery terminal. An 8 AWG ground wire (minimum) is also recommended, and attached to a metal area close to the amplifier.
Remote Turn-On: The Remote screw terminal will accept up to 8 AWG wire. Typically, an 18 AWG turn-on lead is included in an amplifier wiring kit.
Speaker Outputs: The amp features screw terminals for connecting four speakers. The amplifier's minimum speaker impedance is 2 ohms in stereo or 4 ohms bridged.
Speaker-Level Input: The amp includes two speaker-level input harness for connecting the amp to a factory radio or aftermarket head unit. You should splice left and right speaker wires from the head unit to the harness and plug the harness into the amp. Separate speaker input harnesses are provided for the front (Ch1 + Ch2) and rear (Ch3 + Ch4) channels.
Line-Level Inputs: The amplifier is equipped with two pairs of RCA inputs for connecting stereo RCA patch cables from the head unit to the amp.
