Installed these in my 2005 Honda CRV. Taking the panels off was a pain. The speakers are great little speakers. You can't go wrong with them. Crutchfield was a great help. I messed up the brackets on the first door and they sent me a new set...for free!

Purchased these speakers and with Crutchfield's instructions, installed them with ease. They sound fantastic and have a very rich, full sound. Excellent option for anyone looking to upgrade their factory speakers, and they sound wonderful hooked up to an amplifier getting that extra boost of power. Can't say enough good things about them!
Pros: Easy to install, rich sound, reasonably priced

2003 Toyota Prius
I installed these in Front Doors and Rear Deck of my 2003 Toyota Prius. Metra 82-8148 speaker mounting brackets required modifications on front doors to be usable. I used 3M Strip Caulk to seal between door panel and Metra. This provided acceptable installation for the front doors. On the Rear Deck, the Metra brackets were totally unusable. The good news is that the mounting brackets provided by Infinity facilitated proper installation with minor modification. Metra 72-8104 Speaker Wiring Harnesses worked fine on front and rear speakers. As for the speakers themselves, they sounded considerably better that the Toyota factory speakers with the Toyota Factory radio. I installed the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X702 and the speakers sounded considerably better. I am a 75YO with a preference to HD Radio stations with Smooth Jazz, Regular Jazz, Contemporary Christian, Hard Rock, etc.
Pros: Excellent clarity, high frequency. Good bass Good quality Excellent mounting brackets

Replaced all four factory speakers with these. Huge difference! To describe it in one word I would say clean. Everything sounds better from cleaner bass to crisp highs. One of the biggest differences I noticed was how good certain instruments sounded especially in some country songs. Very full and natural. My car had a factory subwoofer so I wasn't concerned with bass. These are excellent speakers and I would highly recommend them. I'll probably buy my girlfriend a set for Christmas!
Pros: Sound great Look great Bought them on Black Friday on sale (great value)

2019 Honda Accord Sport
These speakers changed my car completely. The stock speakers in my 2019 Honda Accord Sport are HORRIFIC. Being a professional musician and audio engineer, sound is extremely important to me, so I needed something that could completely satisfy my thirst for incredibly clear sound. In the same vein, however, I only spend a total of 40 minutes in my car per day, so I wasn't looking to break my bank with extremely expensive speakers. These Infinity Reference 6532's were the answer to all my issues. They are clear, crisp, and can be run extremely loud even without an amp. My car currently has 4 of these magnificent woofers inside of it, and I haven't been disappointed a single time with their performance. To give an example of their clarity, when listening to music that has a defined and prominent piano mic'd, you can actually hear the pedal lifting and falling off of the strings inside of it. That's incredible to me. The frequency response is fantastic, from 57 all the way to 21,000hz. I didn't even buy tweeters for my car because these are just that good. Buy these speakers, and experience how it feels to enjoy driving and your music at the same time!
Pros: Clean sound Clear highs and mids Easy to install Great look, durable build
Cons: You will need a sub. I promise. These speakers do give you more low end than your stock speakers, and clearly too. But being that the low-end response is only 57hz, most trap, rap, and EDM music will need something that can handle 25hz and up. (ie, a sub)

Warning to Mini Cooper Owners -- not a real "fit"
Jim from Atlanta, GA on 11/9/2019
2006 MINI Cooper
This is not really a review of the speaker, which is okay. It is more of advice for Mini Cooper R53 owners. One of the lower door Woofers in my 2006 Mini Cooper S Hatchback was blown and so I decided to try a pair of these with the mounting adapters. It was a difficult install but I got some good advice from Carl at Crutchfield. The speakers are not truly superior to what was already installed...the OEM Mini speakers. They were however, very much harder to get fitted into the car. If I had known how much more difficult (and can I say Rube Goldberg-esque) I would have simply ordered an OEM replacement. That would have meant unscrewing 4 screws on each speaker and then screwing them back in. Done. But I forged ahead and ended up having to drill three new holes in each door, attach the plastic mounting ring and then bend the 4 speaker mounting points 45 degrees and pre-drill 4 small holes at 45 degrees into that plastic mounting ring and then fasten each speaker with four screws. It took 4+ hours. Here's a great YouTube post on how to get the door panels off your first-generation (R50, R52, R53 etc.) Mini: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwzyvgZwh8M The Infinity speakers are good but not really better than your original Mini models. A pair of them costs around $150 but IMHO it is well worth it to return to OEM.
Pros: Decent Quality Sound Yes, you can keep your existing Mini speaker screens
Cons: Not really a "fit" in the Mini Cooper R53 Mounting Adapter not a fit for the speaker Challenging "forced fit" install -- no pre-set holes to mount speakers

2004 Dodge Dakota
My goal was to match the performance of the original Infinity system in my '04 Dakota quad cab pickup. These speakers come REALLY close! The stock speakers had become distorted and "buzzy" after 15 years of use... they were literally shredded. I ended up replacing all four lower door speakers, and am delighted by the crisp clean sound. The bass isn't super huge, but really good. Driving is much more enjoyable with the improved sound system. I'd say these are well worth the money.
Pros: The wiring harnesses that were included made hooking them up SO much easier!
Cons: A little trickier to install than anticipated. Had to find a way to keep the wire harnesses out of the way of the rear door windows when in the down position. It's a "learn-as-you-go" process. I suggest watching YouTube videos to get a general feel for what you'll be doing.

Infinity Reference REF-6532ex in a 1995 Honda Prelude
Crutchfield customer from Bellevue, WA on 9/29/2019
1995 Honda Prelude
The original speakers in my 95 Prelude had diaphragms that had disintergrated. Many Honda forum posts stated that 6.5" speakers would not fit, but I trusted Crutchfield and they were right. Not only did these speakers fit, they required no modification to the speaker baskets in the doors, meaning that there is no interference with the window mechanism. The speakers are also drop in replacements for the OEM speakers in the back deck. The Infinity speakers require 4 retaining screws versus the original 3. But the speaker baskets are plastic and you can easily sink new screw holes into them. The sound quality is very good. The bass is weak through, so I augmented mine with a Rockford Fosgate 10" subwoofer in the trunk. Now the sound system in my car is better than the one in the family room.
Pros: Good sound quality, compact design. Direct replacement for OEM speakers.
Cons: Not much bass.

I also needed a reason to take the back deck apart to try to fix the rattle from the factory sub. I really think the speakers sons great. Most noticeable in the midst and highs but it definitely didn't lose any of the bass either. It really sounds good. I was a little worried because the speakers are pretty small but they sound good. Now if I could only find a 2 ohm sub to drop in where the factory one is.

I purchased these to replace the stock speakers in my 2019 sentra. I purchased infinity because i previously had a 2003 sonata limited that was equiped with infinity system. I absolutely loved it, especially in considering that i primarily listen to death, groove, and black metal. The low end is very present without being muddy and distorting out. The reference i got for the 2019 sentra were nothing short of what i previously had and kicked major ass compared to the stock. Assemby and mounting was no issue whatsoever either.
Pros: Intense clarity and crystal clear midbass Mounting not difficult whatsoever
Cons: Because of my stock system and impedance difference the volume is a bit lower but nothing major.

Replaced four factory speakers in a 2014 Odyssey (front and back sliding doors) to get clear sound that lets me hear instrumental details, clear vocals, and other subtleties without having to play loudly. So impressed after doing the front doors that I ordered the second pair for the back doors. These speakers are providing everything I hoped for. Mid-range frequencies are clear and full and the higher frequencies and percussion are crisp. Vocals and acoustic instruments are in-the-same-room clear. Even interviews/conversations (NPR) are improved to that level.
Pros: Great sound and more of it at the same volume settings as before.

These were purchased to replace the lower speaker in a 2010 Mini Cooper front door panel.. The original speaker was a woofer, these are 2 way speakers and I was assured these would function as 2 ways, and they do. Too bad there are no instructions or any speaker wire harness available for the model of my car. It was a pain getting these installed, I did the driver's side first, took 2 - 3 hours, had to build my own speaker wire harness, the passenger door only took about 30 minutes , a learning experience from the driver's door helped. They lack the bass I wanted, but they do sound better than the original speaker. One 1/2 inch screw was missing from the package, the bracket had parts that had to be removed in order to replace the door panel, maybe someday there will be instructions and parts to do a proper install, but it still sounds good.

Excellent upgrade/replacement to 2nd gen Prius JBL woofers
Colin from Portland, OR on 6/16/2019
2005 Toyota Prius
Very good performance for price. Nice smooth clean bass. Impedance and sensitivity closely match OEM speakers. The OEM JBL front woofers in our 2005 Toyota Prius had a bad habit of aging and finally failing by having the foam suspension ring separate from the frame, resulting in an ugly buzz on stronger bass notes. For little more than the cost of replacing the single failed speaker with another OEM driver, I replaced all four door-mounted woofers with much better after-market speakers. Having seen Crutchfield's support for DIY installers, I made their website the first (and only) stop. The online fitment guide made it a snap to identify which speakers would fit our vehicle. The wiring pigtails to enable solder-free connection of the replacement speakers to the pre-existing factory speaker connectors, along with the vehicle-specific instructions were excellent and eliminated much of the hassle and guess-work. This is the fourth DIY vehicle stereo work I have done, so I had some idea of the work involved. I did need to use the adapter ring supplied in the speaker kit, and also needed to get some proper-size screws to complete the work. Definitely would go this route again if confronted with fix-OEM speakers or upgrade/replace with aftermarket.
Pros: Relatively easy install using supplied adapter ring. Smooth bass response.
Cons: Use of adapter ring might confound novice DIY installers. Infinity-supplied speaker instructions were too terse to be useful.

I don't know how any other speaker on Crutchfield sells; the Infinity Ref-6532ex, I would argue, blows everything else away under $200 and even possibly $300. I give thanks to Crutchfield for their *SpeakerCompare* virtual online speaker auditioning program; without it I would have never guessed which speakers to buy. I urge everyone to use the SpeakerCompare mechanism from Crutchfield. For my ears listening through Sennheiser HD600 headphones, I narrowed my speaker choices down to these 4: 1)Infinity Ref-6532ex 2)Morel Maximo Coax 6 3)Rockford Fosgate P165-SE 4)Pioneer TS-Z65CH I ultimately chose the Infinity, which were on sale for $75, because they rivaled even the most expensive in my comparison - the $300 Pioneer system. Even the Pioneer didn't seem as open and growling on Rock/Metal like the scorching Reference series Infinitys. Even more mind-boggling, I and my brothers even chose them over Infinity's more expensive Kappa series. I have put them in my Toyota Yaris and now I will enjoy using my radio. I might upgrade to a Pioneer head unit, but the difference in sound from my factory is clear: I actually have highs and mid-range now, and the blurry bass of the factory speakers is no more. These babies thump. The highs are crisp and clean and the mid-range is robust and open even without an amp or an aftermarket stereo. I have tried both the spacers furnighed by Crutchfield and the factory from Infinity. I think I will prefer t

Installed in the rear doors of a 2019 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk. The speakers seem to be quality and fine but there seems to be almost zero treble going to the rear door speakers which was my reason for repacking the factory speakers. Does anyone else experience this with their Grand Cherokee?

2013 Toyota Camry
I just installed four of these REF 6532ex speakers in my 2013 CAMRY, plus two REF 3032cfx speakers in the dash. They sound good using the stock radio. I did all labor myself ; a few tips. The front dash speakers were tricky, I twisted and soldered them and there was a capacitor that filters low frequencies to the smaller dash speakers that no one explains. If you don't have soldering or crimping tools you will have trouble. The door were pretty straightforward. The back deck is tricky, instructions say drill two additional holes in the deck, which is impossible to do with a standard drill, but managed to mark and drill holes in the mounting brackets instead, which worked fine. These speakers are definitely punchier and crisper than the stock paper cones. The stock mounting brackets are sturdier, but won't work with new speakers. The original speakers sounded flat. I achived best balance with the Infinities by turning the bass up one notch and the treble down one notch. Enjoying the music more now!

Amazing speakers, even on a factory head unit!
Jared from Colorado Springs, CO on 5/19/2019
I was a little on the fence about buying these or something a little cheaper. I shouldn't have been - these speakers made an incredible difference in my 2017 Honda Accord. MUCH louder and clearer than stock speakers on just the factory head unit. Don't expect them to replace the need for a sub and amp...but if you are adding bass elsewhere (or maybe adding an amp to the infinitys), these are PERFECT! I actually expected much less than what I got out of these. Crutchfield includes the wiring harnesses and adapters that fit properly. As a topper, not only is Crutchfield competitive on price, their customer service is SECOND TO NONE!! Highly recommend - you will not be disappointed.
Pros: 3 ohm impedance and a high sensitivity rating boosts factory head unit output Crystal clear sound without being 'harsh' on the ears Can handle an amp if you find it necessary Minimal to no distortion except at max volume setting (which all speakers will do to varying degrees on an underpowered factory HU)
Cons: Maybe having to pay for someone install them - which was my choice as my stupid Accord wasn't designed for an easy speaker swap on the front or rears.

Awesome improvement over factory speakers!
Crutchfield customer from Charleston, SC on 5/12/2019
I used these speaker to replace the factory ones in the rear doors of my new 2019 Ford F250 Crew Cab. I was fairly impressed with the factory audio system's interface and functionality, and thought there was a decent chance that it would perform decently if it had some good speakers. Besides, since there's no CD player in these trucks anymore and I'm therefore having to spend scores of hours "ripping" my somewhat eclectic CD collection onto a 64GB thumb drive, I certainly wanted to hear them with some semblance of musical fidelity. I installed the right one first and spent about 15 minutes sitting in the back doing a "A-B" comparisons with different types of music while making various adjustments to the sound settings, and there was no comparison. The low end had notably better definition, the vocals had much more clarity, and the high end actually existed! Given how audibly better these new rear door speakers were over the OEMs, at this point I was definitely getting excited about installing my new front door speakers!
Pros: Very efficient Nicely balanced sound for this size speaker

Crystal Clear Infinity's
Anthony from Sanford, FL on 4/16/2019
2000 Toyota Camry
I purchased these during Crutchfield's 2018 "Black Friday"sale. I got an awesome discount and free shipping. I installed these in my 2000 Camry with the stock non-JBL head unit. The sound is beautiful, deep kicking bass, crystal clear mids and very crisp highs. I'm very surprised how well the 20 year old factory head unit powers these speakers! On a sour note, the supplied mounting brackets, do not match up properly with the speakers factory holes, so I purchased ones specifically made for my Camry. I also had to do some detailed splicing, because the supplied harnesses are not long enough to make it to the factory plugs. At the end of the day, these Infinity's are phenomenal speakers, BUY THEM!
Pros: Phenomenal sound!
Cons: Mounting brackets, wiring harnesses.

Excellent Sound for 6 1/2
Russ from Troy, IL on 1/8/2019
2003 Honda Civic
In early 2018, I bought a 2015 Ford F150. Beautiful truck that was perfect for all my needs... except... that lame 4.3" screen and barely-there sound system! Crutchfield to the rescue! I installed the excellent Alpine iLX-207 head unit but also needed new amp and speakers. I went with an Alpine KTP-445A Power Pack to help power the speakers and it was a GREAT decision! It's totally plug and play with the Alpine iLX-207 and sounds fantastic with my Infinity Reference REF-9632ix front door speakers and my Infinity Reference REF-6532ex rear door speakers! There are limits to how much great sound you can get out of 6 1/2 speakers when comparing them to 6x9s. Ok, it's not a fair comparison. I guess I'm a little bummed that my rear doors can't handle 6x9s. But I do like these REF_6532ex speakers! They sound great in the back seat!
Pros: Sound Great in all ranges

2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
I was expecting more but they're fine for the money. Installed in a 2005 Trailblazer. Sound a bit dull/ lack brightness. But heck, it's a beater car more or less, and the stock speakers were shot. I think if someone takes their time and installs sound deadening and all that the results would (obviously) be better.
Pros: They do fit in the stock locations, the plastic ring adapter was not needed and at least in my case would not fit even with the tabs broken off. The wiring harness adapter worked fine.
Cons: Sound a bit dull. On the Trailblazer non-bose you may still have the lower front door separate tweeters in place, I did, and wish I'd figured a way to wire it in series WITH this 2-way speaker to maybe brighten up the sound.

2017 Lexus NX200T
Pretty good overall. Took the sound from the sub-par stereo in my 2017 Lexus NX200t from a C- to a B+. Here's the breakdown. - I replaced the front door stock speakers with these and noticed an immediate improvement. The sound wasn't nearly as muddy. - The speaker in the right door has a touch of distortion if I crank the bass. I haven't checked, but hopefully it's a loose connection or perhaps I didn't tighten the mount enough on that side. - I added these to the rear doors where they are used as woofers only. The rear doors on my vehicle have a separate tweeter and using these as woofers ONLY doesn't do them justice. Sure the overall sound is better but not by much. Overall sound after adding the rear speakers went from a B to a B+. (Adding the two dash speakers is another review that took the overall sound from a C- to a B+).
Pros: - Not as muddy as the stock speakers - Decent range for the front
Cons: - Slight distortion in right speaker if I crank the bass

Much more refined sound than the factory speakers. The original flared cone speakers that are the same OEM speakers that they have installed for the past 50 years just don't have the clarity for the digital age that we are in. I was listening to muffled sound until I installed these in my 2016 F150. I had already replaced the front speakers with Kicker brand coaxial type that the rear speakers sounded like paper mache!!
Pros: Very well made and good instructions, although none was really needed. The added kit that Crutchfield gives you makes the install perfect.

Replaced the front door lower speakers on my 2017 Kia Sorento 2.0T EX with these speakers. Installation was a piece of cake & only took about 1 hour total to do both sides. These speakers are superior to the factory garbage. I had previously added a Memphis Audio powered subwoofer under the rear seat on the driver side. The system now sounds amazing. Highly recommend these speakers. As always, Crutchfield totally rocks. I wish other companies would follow their business model. Now that I've tried these, will probably do the rear door speakers also (uses the exact same speakers!).

Jason from Marietta, GA on 11/3/2018
2018 Honda CRV EX
I installed these speakers in the doors of my 2018 Honda CRV. There is a noticeable difference in the mids and highs. These speakers sound much cleaner than the factory speakers. The magnets on the factory speakers are tiny. My next step will be to install a small amp to get the maximum amount of performance out of these speakers. The factory amp does not have enough power to push these speakers to their full potential. This was a great first step in improving the subpar audio that comes with my vehicle.
Pros: Much cleaner sound over factory speakers, especially in the higher frequencies.
Cons: May need more power depending on your factory amplifier.

2010 Honda Ridgeline
Easy to install. These speakers are a major upgrade, producing a wonderful tight clean music experience. I added sound dampening to the doors and now there's no need for an amplifier.
Pros: Everything you need for installation is included in the package.
Cons: Some modification was required during mounting to get the right fit.

So far great speakers. Using the factory amp but very little reduction in sound level with the increased impedance from 2 to 3 ohms. Support was very helpful but instructions need to be revised to add removal of two tabs on the stock speaker mounting

Sounds 100% better than stock, provides added bass and highs. Not a direct replacement, even with the adapter plates provided it took some modification to get it to fit in the stock speaker location.
Pros: great sound
Cons: doesn't fit without slight modification

Cons: Could be a bit "brighter" sounding.

Fantastic sound quality!

2016 Honda Odyssey EX-L
Bought these for the front & rear doors of my 2016 Honda Odyssey Ex-L w/ RES. The OEM speakers sounded awful and are poorly designed. The Infinity Reference REF-6532ex speakers sound great! The 3-ohm impedance of these speakers truly draws more power from the OEM stereo. I plan on adding a mini 4-channel amp w/ speaker-level inputs to compliment the already impressive sound quality of these speakers. If you're on the fence about buying the REF-6532ex, just do it...you'll be glad you did!
Pros: Sound/build quality Shallow mounting depth Cost Free installation gear & instructions from Crutchfield
Cons: None really

Huge Upgrade!
PAUL from Millville, NJ on 10/5/2018
2011 Jeep Wrangler
I installed the Infinity Reference REF-6532ex speakers in my Jeep's factory soundbar last night. I watched a couple YouTube videos before I started and purchased some poly-fill batting and some Dynamat to install together with the new speakers. The installation was pretty straightforward and took just over an hour. The factory speakers were surprisingly cheap and flimsy with plastic baskets and tiny magnets. The Infinity speakers by contrast appear to be sturdy and well made. after the installation I played a track for my wife and she was stunned by the difference in sound. I wish I had done this upgrade sooner. Once again, great service from Crutchfield!
Pros: Sound quality Price Ease of installation
Cons: None

Great speakers; Poor wiring harness
Andy from Glenside, PA on 10/3/2018
2000 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport
The good first. This is a great set of speakers. The sound quality is excellent for the price. I really liked liked them while they worked and recommend them. My problems are really with the metra speaker harness that accompanied this product. They have repeatedly come detached requiring me to reopen the door and reinstall each speaker every few days. I have tried a variety of things to improve these connections--most recently shrink tape and solder--but everything has eventually failed leaving me wishing I'd left my old speakers alone. A very frustrating experience. I've never experienced anything like this despite having done replaements of this kind many times.
Pros: Great sound quality for the price.
Cons: Flimsy harness connectors quickly failed.

Absolutely the best for the dollar. "Catch the State of the Art Fever from Infinity.", was their slogan in 1979 when the company still was owned by Arnie Nudell, Carie Christie and John Ulrick. They made State of Art Loudspeakers and electronics back then and Harman International who currently owns the company has continued. The warmest midrange and clearest highs with balanced bass. These are not boom box speakers.

2018 Nissan Versa S
I replaced my stock sound system in my new Nissan Versa because it sucked. I got a Kenwood KMM-BT522HD receiver and two pairs of these Infinity speakers. I'll admit I had a tear in my eye listening to these Infinity speakers because I adore them. I miss my old 2010 Honda Fit so much for the sound system, best car system I ever heard,, and now I am almost there. These speakers almost don't need a subwoofer, but they do. Once I get the Infinity BassLink SM subwoofer I am ordering, I am sure it will at least equal the best car sound system I've heard. Joy, joy :) I'll review the Kenwood receiver after I get to know it a little better, but it sure is putting good stuff into these speakers.
Pros: You can't get better sound from 6.5" speakers, in my experience
Cons: If they gave them away for free ... other than that I can't think of anything
