They are really clear speakers, they don't have much depth as far as bass but now it's an excuse to get subs.
Pros: Easy install, sound really clear
Cons: Lack of bass. But let's be real, I didn't expect them to hit like subwoofers

If you are into a lot of bass, these are not for you, they are a little light in the low end. With a little tweaking of the bass setting they are more than just passable. I put these in the rear of my 2021 Sierra Double cab matched with the 6 x 9 infinity 6932 ix, together they made the stock radio sound great, even better than the Bose system.
Pros: Clean mid range and high end come alive
Cons: bass could be a little more pronounced

These replaced the front door speakers in my 2015 Subaru Impreza. They sound so much better than the stock ones, even using the factory receiver. They are not super bass heavy, but the sound is very accurate. I liked them so much I immediately ordered a second pair for the rear doors. I am extremely happy with them and would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade your stock system.

2017 Ford Mustang
I installed these into the rear deck of my 2017 Mustang with the Shaker package. I didn't change the amp or head unit, and they sounded amazing - plenty of power to make these speakers shine. I also replaced the front midrange with the 3.5" version of the same Infinity speaker. I was going to put them in the door's woofer position, but after installing them, I decided to move them to the back for more impact. Honestly, changing the door's midrange speakers made the biggest difference, especially in the driver's seat, but I'm so glad I did the rear deck as well, as it filled the car nicely and balanced the sound out perfectly. The bass response is MUCH better, but where these speakers really shine is the improvement in the previously absent mid and high range (especially when compared to the crappy Ford paper cone speakers). I was surprised what Ford considered to be their premium speakers - Infinity literally blew those paper cones away. For a modest investment, I feel like I have a real "premium sound package" now.
Pros: Sound amazing! Fits exactly as promised.

2016 Lexus GS350
I bought these to replace the speakers in my 2016 Lexus GS with Premium Audio, while keeping the OEM amplfier. After doing a thorough research and comparing Pioneer, JL, Hertz and Polk, I ended up buying these Infinity Speakers. Both Pioneer and Polk has lower sensitivity in the mid 80 db, where as the Infinity, JL and Hertz all were in the low 90s. The reason I opted for Infinity, instead of JL or Hertz, is because JL did not have 3.5" in C1 line, which is what I was looking in to. Hertz does have 3.5" in their Uno 165, but Hertz uses water repellent paper for their cones, and I am not too keen on paper cones. I know, I know, some people swear by paper cone and consider them to be better over any of the other materials, but I always preferred the plastic bi-products for the cone material. Especially in the door installation where there is higher humidity. So compared to my OEM Lexus speakers, which are the same that my cousin has in his 2010 Subaru Forester in every single way, these Infinity sound much cleaner and louder. Initially, they wont sound much better, but give them a few hours of usage and let them set in and break and then you will notice the sound difference. My total cost for the door and the dash speakers, along with all of the materials used, was less than 300 dollars and about a day's worth of sweat. I am very happy with this upgrade and will recommend these to anyone.
Pros: - Sensitivity level - Price - Quality

Great, clear sound right out of the box. Installation was exceptionally easy in my 2018 Mazda 3. No need to drill extra holes or dig for screws that would work. The Crutchfield Master Sheet and installation parts make installation a breeze. I will likely switch the dash tweeters out with 3/4" Infinity ones to improve things even more. An amp would probably be in the future as well, but honestly these sound very good even without an amp. I wish the factory HU had better tone control though.
Pros: Great improvement over stock Simple installation Well rounded
Cons: Amp would probably bring out their full potential

Replaced the 4 OEM door speakers in my 2011 Kia Optima with these. They sound far better which was expected having upgraded to a 2-way speaker. Once I EQ'd the base, mids, and treble, music is clearer with more highs and decent lows. Lows could be more pronounced but I'm guessing I would need an amplifier to help with that. Hearing things in music I never heard with the OEMs.
Pros: Crisp highs. Very clear sound.
Cons: Lows could be more punchy.

Very Impressive Speakers

2016 Ford Fiesta
Greater Speakers with a fairly flat response. A little lacking in the high frequency zone, but when paired with the REF-375TX tweeters these sound amazing. They have a nice puch even on my factory head unit. I think these would sound really good with an amp upgrade, but very happy with them as is. I packed my empty door panels with fiber fill to get a tighter low end, seems to have worked.
Pros: Sound great even with factory amp/head unit. Pairs nicely with Infinity Tweeters.
Cons: Wish the included screws worked better with the metra mounting adapter. 2 out of 4 screws fit the adapter, the other holes require larger screws. I used stubby computer fan screws I had laying around.

2001 quad cab speaker swap
Jeff from Newton, NC on 12/30/2020
2001 Dodge Dakota
Bought these for my 2001 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab with the 2ohm Infinity sound system. While the lower speakers in the front doors only receive low frequency, I choose these because my factory tweeters were fine and I didn't want to install crossovers that come with a lot of the component speaker sets. These are 3 ohm, there's not a lot of 2ohm out there. They were not to hard to install. You use the adapter rings and factory rings to install, along with the included speaker wire adapters. The factory speakers are a little bigger, that's where the adapter rings comes in. Just put them in today, and they sound pretty good. The old factory speakers were rotten when I got the truck, so I don't know how they sounded originally, but these are pretty good of the stock radio and amp. Hopefully they hold up well. They look to be built well. I love classic rock, and these have plenty of bass for a 6.5 inch speaker. They vibrate the door mirror on the old dodge ??. Hardest parts of installation for me are those dang door rod clips. It's kind of hard if you have big hands to get them reattached, but I managed. I can't say much for the instructions that they give you. I would watch a couple YouTube videos and that will help more than anything if your first timer like me. A couple small tips. You want need the grills or long screws , or speed clips if your simply swapping them out like I did. Also, the factory speakers appear to be glued to the brackets, so you may have to pry them apart.
Pros: Good solid sound on stock head unit and stock amp. Good bass for 6.5 inch. You get everything you need from Crutchfield. Speakers actually arrived a day early.
Cons: Instructions could be a little clearer for first timers.

Lost but found my way
Crutchfield customer from Mesa, AZ on 12/29/2020
2015 Kia Sportage
For you Hyundai and Kia owners I just installed the two-way 6532ex in the back doors of my daughters 2015 Sportage. They fits like a glove once I figured out how to use the factory mounting harness. I installed one side as the instruction read, by drilling out the rivets then mounting the free Crutchfield bracket (but really unnecessary) by using rivets. Unfortunately the music was getting lost or muffled, as I took the second door off I looked at my work bench where the old speaker was..... it dawned on me to cut the old speaker out of the ( pic 2/3) old mount ( plastic ) with a hacksaw blade, then remount the new speakers by lining up the holes ( pic 4)on the speakers to the rim of the bracket, pre-drilled holes and secured them with the screws that came with the speakers. The reason it sounded lost is because the old mount is 2 " deep (pic1) with no space between the back of the door and the speaker. , using the the new bracket caused the speaker to be 2" away. At that point I riveted it back on the door and remounted the first door that sounded bad. Wow what a difference, the sound was much cleaner. I did have to buy a rivet gun, but that was a good excuses to use the gift card I just received for Christmas .. probably new use it again..lol
Pros: Although these will be hidden behind the doors, the woofer material was Clean well designed and look amazing. Tweeter is clean, crisp. Good base, for a 61/2.
Cons: Mounting plus for + &- wire clips are a touch flimsy, you have to really be careful not to bend them. When having to rewire the complaint speakers, wire should be included. Or at least the wire for the power. Not everyone has multiplayer gauges of wire laying around.

2016 Ford F-150 XLT
Installed in a 2016 F150 SuperCrew (all doors). They sound pretty good considering their size. There is a clear and distinct difference between the stock speakers. Much more definition and clarity. I powered these with a Clarion XC2410. This brought the speakers to another level in terms of performance and sound quality. Brackets included by Metra from Crutchfield need to have a hole drilled in the bottom in order for the factory wiring harness to be used. If you dont do this you either need to cut the factory harness or drill a hole into your door panel. It was a pretty simple drilling a small <1/2" hole into the side of the plastic bracket, i just wasn't expecting to have to do this.
Pros: Price for Performance
Cons: Brackets included need to have a hole drilled in the bottom in order for the factory wiring harness to be used.

2018.5 Nissan Versa Doesn't fit rear door; if using with the stock head unit, you have a bit of loudness on high frequencies at the cost of bass (when compare with stock speakers). I didn't use the aftermarket Amp - so can't advise on that. 3 stars for my disappointment - that it didn't fit the rear door in spite of the advise from the Crutchfield experts that it will fit.

Powered with a fosgate 5 channel provides really clear highs with decent mids, doesnt handle bass much at all after 6 hrs of low volume break in however ive found with previous systems that after a couple months i can readjust amps and add lower frequencies so im not worried about it yet
Pros: Excellent highs and decent mids
Cons: Poor bass but expect better after speakers wear in

Great fit for Toyota PreRunner
Crutchfield customer from Warner Robins, GA on 12/13/2020
2015 Toyota Tacoma
I bought the Infinity Reference 6532's speakers to replace the speakers in my Toyota PreRunner I think the magnet is about the size of a nickel if that. So far the Reference speakers sound just fine with the volume high or low. Nice and clear. Installation was a breeze with the installation kit supplied by Crutchfield. I did have to oversize two of the place mounting holes for a perfect fit. Simple fix with the mount being plastic. All in all well satisficed with my purchase. I can say Crutchfield will set you up right.

I got these to replace my rear stock speakers cause they were sounding static. Just on ease of installation alone, I gave these 5 Stars. If it hadn't been for me putting the brackets on backwards, these would've been installed in 30 minutes. Unfortunately, these ending up sound the same as my stock speakers, which means my stock head unit is the problem. I wont be able to hear how these actually sound once I upgrade the head unit so I will add to this review in a couple of weeks.
Pros: East to install especially since it was my 1st time installing car speakers.
Cons: My stock unit is crap so I don't know exactly how these sound

The speakers are very nice. The location of the needed screws to be used for the speaker adapter brackets could not initially be found. Wasted alot of time finding screws to fit only to "find" the hidden screw package after installation complete.
Pros: Nice speakers. Relatively easy installation.
Cons: Location of the screws needed to attach the speaker adapter bracket should be highlighted or at least made more obvious obvious.

Truly the 'Reference' at this price point
Crutchfield customer from Charleston, SC on 12/11/2020
2006 Dodge Durango
Perhaps the third vehicle which has received a version of Infinity Reference. The price/quality of sound ratio has been superlative dating back to the mid '90s, and these are the equal of my other sets. This is the second truck, so two points: 1) the sound quality is excellent with good balance and crisp treble, especially at mid-volume 2) these have proven robust over the years, too, as I use a truck for truck things. Significant improvement, even with factory stereo. As usual, Crutchfield directions and support make things easy. Would recommend both Infinity Reference, and these are as good as the other pairs I have owned-- perhaps even better for bass.
Pros: Clarity of sound; good balance across sound spectrum; build quality; quality/price ratio (even before Xmas sales)
Cons: At this price, none; already an improvement with faculty stereo, unknown which aftermarket would produce the best pairing.

Good Upgrade From Stock
Crutchfield customer from Clemmons, NC on 12/10/2020
2002 Toyota 4Runner
I ordered these on Black Friday. I drive a 2002 4Runner SR5 4WD, which uses 6.5" component speakers in the front. I'm not running an amp or anything fancy, I like the stock setup. The process of replacing the stock speakers was easy, they fit perfectly, and the new sound quality is fantastic. PLENTY of bass and mid... only problem is, since I don't know how to solder, I couldn't wire in the stock door tweeters. The plug connects straight from the head unit to just these speakers, but if you know how to solder you could easily strip and solder in the tweeters. The sound quality is still fantastic, I just lost a little bit of top-end. I would absolutely recommend these speakers, as they sound fantastic on a stock 4Runner head unit. Feel free to send questions, I'll gladly answer them:)
Pros: -good bass -good mid -relatively cheap -easy to install -sounds great without any aftermarket amp
Cons: -lose stock tweeters -i accidentally broke one of my door retainer clips during the replacement process lol (that's my own fault, not the speaker's haha)

Received the infinity REF-6532ex, Infinity Primus PR5010cs, and Kicker 47KSC2704 speakers for my 2017 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro crewmax hoping to improve the sound. I also have coming an infinity PRIMUS6004AAM amp. I have been doing my own car stereo systems as a teenager from the 70's. I removed all of the OEM speaker to prepare for my upgrade. Had not received the amp yet. Only had time to Install the infinity REF-6532EX in the front door. They sound like crap. No improvement from the basic OEM speaker that we just horrible. Very high pitch, tinny sound. A couple of days latter had time to install the Kickers in the dash corners. WOW...They are awesome. For little things they out perform the infinity's. Very impressive little speakers. Crisp and clean. Hoping to get to the rear door speakers and amp this weekend. My opinion of the infinity REF-6532ex is they suck. In all my years of DIY systems, I have always been fortunate in ending up with some great tunes, but these infinity's are a big disappointment, especially for the name and cost. Hope the ones for the rear doors don't suck also. I will never consider infinity again. I will say that the Kickers lived up to their expectations. Very great sound. For now they help drowned out the poor sound of the infinity's until I get time to work on the system. So in short, look at others such as the reliable pioneer or Polk speakers. The more I have research, the more I find that infinity is not that great of a car audio speaker.
Pros: NONE
Cons: No better than the Toyota OEM. Very high pitch and distorted sound.

2020 Nissan Rogue
I love these speakers. I found them to have plenty of bass and an amazing amount of clarity. Of course they're not going to boom like a subwoofer but then, what 6.5" door speakers would? For me, the definition of the sound is most important and these speakers really are a cut above anything else I've used in this price range. I was fortunate that the Nissan Rogue already has sound proofing behind the door panels which really helps. I think the differences in the design of each vehicle greatly impacts the quality of the sound, especially the bass. Thank you Crutchfield for the fast order processing and for including the mounting brackets and connection adapters. The fit perfectly.
Pros: Affordable Sound great

The tweeters do not pivot on this model! I was really looking forward to having the tweeters pivot and have the +3db button for the tweeters because of the factory location of the speakers. Partially my fault but customer support told me this model would have the pivoting tweeters. Other than that I'm a huge infinity guy! I still like these speakers and they sound great! I I put these in the back of a 2005 Silverado crew cab and the install was easy. I truly think infinity has the best bang for your buck when it comes to sound quality compared to the price tag.

2019 Toyota Tacoma
Great speakers for factor 3rd gen Tacoma. These pair nicely with the 6x9's. I was considering adding an amp (I'm sure it would make these things really shine) for most people it most likely isn't necessary. I've tried a few different speakers and these by far are my favorite drop ins. Bass isn't comparable to a sub but it isn't lacking, mids are strong and highs aren't crystal clear but sufficient. I would suggest messing with your EQ to your liking based on your preferences. Keep in mind, this is a 2 way and not a component system. Overall, worth the money
Pros: Great sound, quality and looks.

Crutchfield is great and I'll continue to order from them. The website is easy to navigate, the prices are good and the shipping is fast. These speakers however are disappointing. One has been crackly since the second it was installed and they really don't sound all that good (amplified or not)

Cons: Sound quality is average.

2019 Chevrolet Tahoe LS
For the context of this review, I am currently driving a 2019 Tahoe LS that was provided by my employer. Unfortunately, this limits my options of what I can do with the vehicle, such as being unable to install a sub or veh modifications. However, they do allow plug and play speakers as long as there is no vehicle modifications. I purchased the REF-9633ix for the front doors of the Tahoe and the REF-6532ex for the rear doors. First, to highlight Crutchfield, shipping was very fast / install was a breeze. CF providing GM direct adapters for the wiring harness and mounting brackets were a life saver. This mere factor made it worth buying through CF as these are provided for free. As far as speaker performance, the LS speakers are pure hot garbage. OEM head unit can push these just fine. So the clarity and mid/high ranges were a significant improvement over the OEMs. However, as many of you have read in reviews before, if you can front the cost of a small sub it would be worth the additional investment. The bass was actually a bit more present in the LS OEM speakers. When listening to a bass drum in rock music, its very mellow and tame (This is with the bass EQ turned to max).. Oddly enough, I occasionally list to EDM and the bass hits hard to the point a passenger thought I had a small 8-10 inch somewhere. However, this is only a select few songs. If you are looking for a full range you will absolutely need to compliment with 8-10 for modest, 12 to push
Pros: -Great price for a decent speaker in the rear doors -Very easy install with provided CF accessories and install kit(s)
Cons: -As with any 6.5 speaker without a sub, low range is limited

Took the advice of the Crutchfield Rep's and chose the Infinity Reference line for the replacement speakers for my stock head unit. The speakers are very responsive to my factory Honda head unit. I still need an amp just not as loud as I would like. Bass is decent but not where I'd like it but I bought these for clarity and to be louder than the pitiful factory ones. So that's why I give it four out of five.

First and foremost Crutchfield technical assistance was Awesome. I was a bit dissapointed with the Speaker replacement. This speaker lacks the Bass needed to offset the high treble sound. It just does not give a balanced sound. For my application, I did not want to change out my radio and add an amp, I wanted to switch out failing equipment as an even swap. This did not happen.

I don't want to use an amplifier, but hoped to get better sound from my factory system. These speakers gave a moderate improvement over the factory ones. Speakers sound great. Giving 4 stars because the Infinity instructions are useless and it's not very clear what items you're supposed to be using out of the package. Thank god for Crutchfield support! If you're also installing these in the dash of a JK Wrangler, it is time consuming to get the drivers side done. Know this before diving in and take your time. The size of the speaker casing it absurd and a pain in the butt to remove and even worse to get back in to place. Drivers side may take you a few hours. Passenger side took me about 20 mins.

2015 Honda Civic Sedan LX
Paul from Allen, TX on 2/24/2020
2015 Honda Civic LX
2015 Honda Civic Sedan LX - I bought these to replace my factory speakers. I did a lot of research looking at Crutchfield, etc. looking for what would work best with my factory head unit. Each had their own brands but selected these because the reviews are good. The specs are great and the sell price included free mount adapters and harnesses. Other stores can charge up to $30 for these. The description on Crutchfield has been updated since I bought these to tamp down a bit of the 3 ohm spec in the literature. These are listed as 3 ohm but they are actually what they call a True 4 ohm. I called Harmon direct and they admitted it was a marketing thing. Having said that......I measured the speaker itself at 3.2 ohms. My Honda factory pioneers measured 3.5. The speaker runs obviously add impedance so basically the same. These speakers are so much better than the stock speakers. You do have to modify the rear deck and door panels. I used a utility knife on the rear deck and it worked fine. It took me about 30 min to mod both sides. When I did the front doors I used a Dremel tool w/cutting wheel and that worked much better and took 5 min total for both door panels. Use the slowest speed possible to keep the cutting disc from walking. I am very satisfied with these speakers using only my factory head unit. My car is the LX so no factory sub or component speakers. Just four 6 1/2 speakers. I hope this is helpful.
Pros: Sound GREAT!!!!!
Cons: You do have to modify all of the panels where these speakers go. The rear deck was kind of a pain removing the side panels to even get to the rear deck but hey that's what YouTube is for. Plenty of videos to watch that help. Front doors not so bad. Borrow a Dremel tool if you don't have one. Although, you can read above where I used a utility knife on two. It just took longer.

Speakers sound great. For installation in 2002 Subaru legacy you can't mount these to the factory speaker mount like the instructions indicate. These speakers do come with cheap adaptors of there own, but you'll likely have to use some foam to fill in the gaps between mounts and the door if you use these.
Pros: Great sounding speakers. Come with mounting adaptors which help with installation.
Cons: Not compatible with 2002 Subaru legacy factory speaker mounts as indicated on Crutchfield instructions. Speaker mounting adaptors are cheap and leave gaps in-between door and adaptors.

Interestingly this web page says these speakers don't fit my vehicle however they were recommended by a Crutchfield employee and I currently have them installed in that car. Hmmm...anyway they have good clarity in the mids to highs, but the low end is lacking. Not an issue when running a sub with them and I'm sure they will come to life a little more once I get them hooked up to a 4 channel amp. The tabs for connecting the leads are a bit flimsy, but construction of the speakers is quality and overall they seem to be a solid value
Pros: Clean highs and mids, quality materials/construction
Cons: Lacking in low end response, flimsy connection tabs

Good upgrade from factory speakers, especially on sale
Jacob from ORLANDO, FL on 1/30/2020
2014 Kia Optima
I upgraded the front door speakers in my Optima with these Infinitys. These speakers provide more detail, a much wider soundstage, and deeper and tighter bass compared to the muddy bass from the stock speakers. These speakers are being driven by my aftermarket Pioneer head unit, and do not need additional power. BTW if you can't replace your stock head unit, consider getting an amp with these speakers. My stock paper speakers went from unacceptable sound with the stock HU to workable when being driven off of the Pioneer. These Infinitys did need a bass boost in my EQ, as the un-EQed sound was bright to the point of being shrill. After that adjustment, they have sounded pretty good. Finally, if the music you listen to relies on sub-bass like rap, you will still need a subwoofer to fill in that part of the spectrum.
Pros: wider soundstage, greater detail, much better bass
Cons:

Replaced the worn out Bose speakers in my 08 Escalade. They are a good impedance match, maximum volume wasn't perceptibly affected. The sound is great for the price and stock amp. I purchased during the Black Friday sale. I consider these a slight upgrade to new stock, best for replacing worn out speakers. If you are building a system with aftermarket amps, you can do better.
Pros: Good construction and materials, decent sound, low impedance for stock amp, price
Cons: Lows and highs aren't great, not as clean as components

Decent Speakers
Crutchfield customer from USA on 1/20/2020
2006 Subaru Outback
After pretty extensive research, I bought these to replace the rear speakers in my Subaru Outback. The rear stock speakers lacked clarity, and even though it's only "fill" sound, I wanted the clarity for my rear passengers. First off, of all the mounting materials sent, nothing worked except for the wire harnesses. I ended up tearing the stock speakers out of their brackets, and drilling the new speakers into those stock brackets. The speakers themselves sound pretty good. The clarity is there, and they don't sound too harsh. I know they're shallow, but I do wish they had a tad more bass. For bass heavy music, they're honestly not as great as I expected from reviews. I also wish they were a little louder, but I think that's due to my stock head unit sending little power to the rear speakers. Overall, these are way better than my stock rear speakers, and I'm still happy with the Harman brand. The price tag seems too high. I was able to buy them for half that, and at that price I'd say they're totally worth it.
Pros: Clear without being too harsh
Cons: Bass could be better
