Features

Plus One+ Woofer Cones: Each speaker uses a cone larger than other speakers of the same size. This is accomplished by using a unique basket design and hi-roll surround. The Plus One+ design offers greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.

Angled Tweeter: The tweeters are mounted at an angle (fixed), so they can be directed toward the listeners to improve imaging.

Tweeter Level Control: A switch on the front of the tweeter allows you to boost the tweeter output to +3dB, useful if the speakers are mounted low in a door where high frequencies are easily absorbed.

High-Output Design: The 3Ω voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring, extracting more power from factory (or aftermarket) receivers.

I have a boss BE9ACP head unit, 2 mtx terminator 12â??s 2000rms peak, 2000watt planet audio amp, will these speakers be okay to just plug and play or do i need anything else?

If your 2 subs wired together match the rms watts to your amp then you can just run speaker wire to the amp and then RCA cables to the radio. Apart from that you would need power, ground, fuses, possible remote turn on wire, etc as well which is required for any amp install. If you have all that already then you are good to go. If you don't have that stuff you can give us a call at 800.324.9695 and our experts can put a cart together with all the basics you would need to get your equipment installed!

What is the crossover frequency for the tweeters?

We do not have this information on this coaxial speaker and Infinity was not able to provide it. They use 3.5kHz with their component speakers so there is a high chance that is the frequency being used with this coaxial speaker

Are these 100% plug and play. No cutting wires. Or no cutting door panels or door it self? I have zero knowledge about installing car audio. Looking for the best bass and best highs i can get wutj factory stereo and no amp for my 2010 ford ranger xlt crewcab without pioneer radio

Are these speakers ok to use with Boss be9acp? Says these are 3 ohm speaker and Boss manual says only wire 4-8 ohm speakers.

Yes, they will work just fine. 2ohm, 3ohm, 4ohm is all basically the same thing out of a head unit/media player. When you start adding amps and individual component speakers then the ohms come into play. If you really want to understand ohms, you can Google Ohms law or check out this guy "Tom's Hardware Forum / JBL 3 Ohm car speakers". He explains it pretty well, in a simpler way and it's in similar reference as to your question. The speakers: I liked these speakers. i bought the 6x8 and 6.5 sets for my truck. They sounded very clear, but I burned the voice coil out of one in about 6 months. My fault though.. had them up to loud, to long and full of distortion as they were under powered with just a Kenwood media player pushing them. The Boss unit you referenced only puts out 20 watts RMS. That's not enough power to push them the way they can be pushed. Though it says it makes "85 watts", that's going to be full of distortion. That's how I ruined mine. If you plan to play them mid level volume you will be fine and should enjoy the crisp highs and nice studio sounding mid bass. If you plan on running them hard and loud.. buy an amp to produce the correct power you are looking for minus the distortion. Hope this helped. Good luck!!

I have a 2008 ford explorer with a 15 inch skar audio sub and 800w monoblock amp. I need better highs to hear lyrics while amp is up. Would these be a smart choice for 6x8 for highs n bass?

They probably would. I don't have a sub yet and they sound good on the high end. I think they would be a good fit with a sub. They have a little brighter high end than some of the others I herd. ted

I have these installed in my F150 doors and they increased the highs, mid and bass over stock speakers which were mostly mid and bass Hopes this helps

It depends on your original equipment. The ends on my factory speakers were one size. These speakers have a small and large size connector. I just cut them and crimped on the correct sizes. They do come with wires so you could also splice them but I would also solder them to insure a good connection. Great speakers.

Can these speakers be used to replace factory speakers of a 2012 Mazda 6 without adding an amp or upgrading the stock head unit? The factory speakers have 4ohm impedance and I see that these have 3ohm impedance.
