Chester was a great help with my speaker purchase. I ordered the new JBL 4305P powered studio monitors from him last month. They arrived much earlier than the promised delivery date and were packaged very securely in a triple box. I previously ordered several Cambridge DAC 200ms for my computers and a CXN V2 Network Player to pipe music to the JBLs. In the early 70s, as a teenager, I owned the original JBL L100 studio monitors, a great Yamaha amp and a Phillips turntable. I loved them all and used them for ten years. Fast forward 49 years and the 4305Ps are in the same amazing category as the classic L100s. I cranked them up last night and was blown away in our large 20 x 30 family room as to the power and detail of these speakers. Used them directly connected to the XLR outputs on the CXN (linked both 4305P speakers with the supplied ethernet cable to digital sync) and they blew me away listening to a live version of Dreams by the Allman Brothers from the Gregg Allman "All My Friends" tribute album. The power of these speakers is crazy considering their small size. JBL really executed a great engineering feat and the components are matched perfectly. I thought I might need a powered subwoofer, but the bass sound production blew me away. On to live versions of my favorite CCR, Grateful Dead, Miles Davis, Santana, Steeley Dan and more Allman Brothers and they just kept sounding detailed and powerful like the L100s......only in a tiny bookshelf enclosure. I cannot recommend JBL enough
Pros: Powerful detailed speakers in a tiny bookshelf enclosure. Worth the price.
