About the JBL Fuse
Versatile system to fit your ride
Versatile system to fit your ride
Shallow-mount enclosures have given motorists the great low end you can only get from a good subwoofer in smaller spaces than ever before. But it can be tough to find the right enclosure to fit your needs. Now, JBL's Fuse sub system gives you the options you need for easy installation. The system features two separate enclosures, each with a shallow-mount 8" subwoofer and an 8" "racetrack style" passive radiator that reinforces bass response without adding any port noise. You can install the two enclosures separately — one under each seat, for example — or dock them together to make one dual 8" enclosure that will still fit in some pretty tight spots.
Mounting options to fit your vehicle
The Fuse's docking features gives you more options for installation. If you dock the two enclosures together, you can use the included mounting feet to install the Fuse in your trunk or rear storage compartment. Or, you can separate the Fuse into two shallow-mount enclosures which fit in tight spaces such as under your vehicle's seats or rear cargo panel to let you bring the bass up close.
Built tough
The Fuse is built tough, with injection-molded plastic enclosures that keep your speakers safe and metal grilles that protect the subs from accidental damage. The matte black textured finish gives the subs a clean, modern look that blends in with your vehicle's interior. The spring-loaded flush-mount speaker terminals make it easy to connect large-gauge wire.

Features
Modular Design: The JBL Fuse features 2 individual subwoofer enclosures that can operate as one compact unit, or as 2 separate enclosures, allowing them to be mounted in different locations if needed. Each of the 2 "halves" contains a shallow-mount 8" driver and a 4x6" passive radiator, capable of producing deep bass while eliminating the need for a larger ported enclosure. Two mounting feet are provided for installing the two subwoofers as a single unit. This allows it to sit up-right, taking up minimal floor or trunk space. If mounting separately, the feet are removed and each individual enclosure will lay flat on the mounting surface. Hardware is provided for both mounting methods.
Wiring: Each of the two individual enclosures includes its own pair of spring-clips that can accommodate speaker wire up to 14 ga. in size. If the subwoofer is installed as one unit, both sets of terminals can be parallel wired for a 2Ω load. If installing as two separate enclosures, each will provide a 4Ω load.
Power: The JBL Fuse can handle 200W RMS/600W peak power when wired in a 2Ω configuration. It has a frequency response of 30-200Hz and a sensitivity of 90dB.
