After years of building custom enclosures and looking for suitable amplifier locations, this was a treat. For its small size and footprint, it does a remarkable job. The included volume control makes the experience all that much better. It provides for instant attenuation from one song to the next where the mixing is different; no futzing with tone controls or EQ settings on your head unit. Would buy again.

Great bass for a stock stereo

Hadn't his installed today in my 2018 camry, and let me say I am blown away with the bass. The stock system has pretty good sound, but the bass lacks when you up the volume. Suffice it to say that won't be a problem anymore. The thump of the bass from this sub is superb. And having the ability to change the bass level from the drivers seat as needed is an added bonus

2020 Toyota Camry
The JBL BassPro 12 is great. I've been in a ALOT of other people's vehicles and experienced their systems. For a single 12", I was shocked by how much bass it provided. This really compliments the JBL aftermarket setup I put in as well. This was the first time I'd ever replaced a whole speaker system / added a sub. The ease of having a powered sub made installation slightly easier than if I'd ordered an amp separately. I recommend this to anyone who's at novice level of installation. It went well for me and I'm satisfied with the bass output. It'll shake my rear view mirror, so it's enough for me.

Great sound for a reasonable price

Added this to the factory Bose system in my car, it definitely added the extra bass that I was looking for. Hard hitting sub for a reasonable price. Highly recommend this product.

2002 Pontiac Bonneville
This was the first subwoofer I've installed in my car and it was super easy. My sub sounds great and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Cons: Have to put stuff beside it to keep it from flipping over in my trunk.

2004 Subaru Forester
This is the absolute unit for the amateur to intermediate audiophile. Incredibly simple and easy to follow detailed instructions as per the Crutchfield usual, and unbeatable quality and sound like JBL always consistently delivers. I have all the low-end I need and then some after installing this in my Subaru Forester. For the most elite bassheads, this may not live up to your standard for bass presence and quality, but for the large majority of folks, this thing will satisfy the THUMP you need to round out your stereo experience.
