The little things that count

The GX402's low-impedance design safely draws more power from your car stereo or amp to give your music extra punch. JBL has also included a tweeter deflector to compensate for the diversity of car interiors. With high-frequency soundwaves guided more directly toward your ears, your music gains a truer, more dynamic sound.

A match for any system

These 2.3-ohm speakers are sensitive enough that you can power them with a factory or aftermarket radio, but you'll get even better results feeding them power from an outboard amp.

Features

Plus One Woofer Cones: The Plus One speaker cones offer more surface area than other speakers that fit in the same size opening. This is accomplished by using a new basket design and hi-roll surround. The result is greater bass output and an increase in efficiency.

Edge-Driven Dome Tweeter: Each speaker's edge-driven dome tweeter rotates, and uses Harman's proprietary tweeter deflector to optimize the off-axis performance.

High-Output Design: The 2.3Ω voice coil design compensates for the high in-line resistance of small gauge factory wiring, extracting more power from factory (or aftermarket) receivers. This results in clearer, richer sound for the listener.

Customer Q&A

Q
I'm running a stock 4 ohm amp in my 1995 Lexus sc400 and put these in and noticed they run at 2.3 ohms will this hurt my amp? They sound great and no issues just wondering

A
They are fine for that. When you factor in the added resistance of the speaker wire, they present much closer to a 4 Ohm load at the amplifier terminals. This way, you get much closer to the full rated output from the connected amp. I hope that helps! My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=5
