They are great I just wish I knew ahead of time that you really need the whole set of stadium speakers because the crossover for these are supposed to connect to the woofer crossover. So I had to bypass that, which I hope is okay but time will tell

can you use this mid and crossover without using the jbl stadium 2 way component set. Can you run this crossover from the amp on their own channels instead of adding to the 2 way component set crossover boxes that connect to each other?

I believe you could, you would just have to cut the connector that would have been used with the JBL 2 component system

Features

Midrange Upgrade: These midrange drivers are designed for use with the JBL Stadium 52CF, 62CF, 862CF or 962C 2-way component sets (all sold separately). The crossovers included with the component sets can be set to 3-way, and they integrate with the crossovers included with the midrange.

Crossovers: Each crossover has an 8" output wire attached, terminated with tinned bare wire. The wire to connect the midrange crossovers' inputs to identical plugs on the crossovers included with the 2-way component sets is included.

I have a pair of GTO 609c speakers up front now. Planning on putting a set of 62F in the back. Would these be compatible with the front, and would it be worth the work to mod these into the front? 01 Dakota Quad cab?

That is an excellent question and something that might be better answered with a phone call so we can dive a little deeper. There are definitely some solid pros to adding a midrange which is 3 ohms like those components you have now. Will adding these to my 862cf underpowered them? I have the JBL stadium 4 which could put put up to 120w at 3ohms.

Those watts combined with the JBL efficiency is expected to work well! We do not expect any change in top volume levels by adding these, but we do anticipate a big change in clarity of the sound by adding them.

I think they are an add on to the two way set,,the inputs were pre made ,, plugs on either end ,, from the 2way x over to the 3 was x over. I used the woffer mids and tweets in my 2020 trail boss hooked up to the Bose amplifier without any of the of the x overs before I hooked up an audio control amp . The plug may be able to be cut for the input of the x over and work though,, it's just looking for a signal,,reach out to crutchfield or jbl ,, they should be able to give you a definite answer.

Without researching it for you, it appears to me that the midrange crossover is made to work in concert with the 2 way crossover supplied with the midbase/tweeter combo to provide a band-pass for the midrange speaker. However, if your amplifier has the ability to provide a bandpass signal or you use a 3rd party bandpass passive crossover at the proper frequencies that should work. If you really want to use these speakers with some other brand I would contact JBL for more information. Hope this helps.
