Quality and affordability

Great bass usually depends on your wallet, as a nice sub and powerful amp can cost serious cash. Now JBL steps up with some help for the bass-hungry, designing their affordable Stage subs to help you get strong bass when your bank account's a little weak.

Great power handling

The Stage 1010 features a polypropylene cone for enhanced stiffness, supported by a nitrile rubber surround that'll stand up the abuses of life in your ride. It'll handle up to 225 watts RMS (900 watts peak), and it works equally well in sealed or ported enclosures, so you can get the kind of bass you want.

Reliability

The big 2" voice coil contributes to this sub's impressive power handling, while airflow from the cone's movement cools the voice coil for exceptional reliability. And, speaking of reliable, JBL puts these subs through a rigid testing process that includes baking, freezing, and blasting them with power for days on end, all so that you never have to worry.

Enclosure Recommendations

  • Sealed Box Volume: 1.23 ft³
  • Ported Box Volume: 1.0 ft³ with one 2.95" diameter x 4" long port
  • Band Pass: JBL also recommends prefabricated band-pass enclosures. Band-pass enclosures often provide the most output available from any amplifier and subwoofer combination, but at the expense of sonic accuracy.

[ Jonny  Aug 31, 2020 ]

A
Yes you'll need a box,I bought a sound ordnance vented box,the wires to connect the sub are in the box,but you'll need speaker wire to connect to the amplifier

Q
What is the Minimum Wattage you can run these speakers off of? for an AMP specifically.
[ Ethan  May 06, 2020 ]
1 answer
A
These subwoofers need an amplifier that puts out up to 225 watts RMS, they are n't super sensitive, so the closer you can get to that 225, the better they will perform. I would recommend at least 175 watts.

Q
Can this 10" JBL sub speaker be used with the Pioneer-DMH-C2550NEX? Is impedance match with this pioneer unit? Is a separate amp required? Thanks Dana Hill
[ Dana  Jul 10, 2019 ]
1 answer
A
Hi Dana, thank you for your question. The JBL Stage 1010 is a 4ohm sub, since the Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX can supply about 70 watts RMS at 2ohm, you would need a separate amp to power the JBL sub. Please chat with an Advisor online, or by phone at 1-800-324-9695. They will be happy to get you fixed up with the best solution for your application!
