JBL designed their second-generation Tour One wireless headphones for you to wear at home, the office and everywhere in between. They fit snugly to stay in place while you move. And JBL's special noise cancelling circuitry adjusts itself to the external sounds around you. Strong, reliable Bluetooth, useful app, and convenient controls
Music plays wirelessly via Bluetooth version 5.3, a newer, more reliable version of Bluetooth. That means a more stable connection for playing music and podcasts — or making calls — with your phone. The on-ear touch controls make it easy to hop on conference calls or Zoom meetings, or take calls on the go.
And after a one-time setup through JBL's Headphone app, you can tap the earcup to access voice control through your smartphone. The app gives you more fine-tune control over noise cancellation, ambient modes, and sound settings. It also opens up more features, including JBL's Personi-fi 2.0. This personal sound calibration checks your fit and assesses your hearing profile, then tailors the sound accordingly.

When you need to be aware of your surroundings, you can turn off the active noise cancellation and activate JBL's "Smart Ambient" feature. This uses the built-in mic to increase the volume of ambient sounds, so you can hear what's going on around you — even while you wear the earbuds.

Overview: The JBL Tour One M2 is an updated version of the popular Tour One over-ear wireless headphones. They deliver JBL's high-quality Pro Sound and all day comfort. True Adaptive Noise Cancellation lets you listen to music or phone calls in peace and quiet, even in a noisy environment. The Tour One M2 also features the latest version of Bluetooth (5.3) with on-board controls for volume, music playback, and phone calls. You can easily access your favorite voice assistant directly from the headphones. The Tour One M2 comes with an audio cable, a charging cable, an airline adapter, and a zippered hard-shell storage case.
Drivers: The Tour One M2 is equipped with large 40mm dynamic drivers to deliver JBL's legendary Pro Sound. You can plug in the headphones (using a wired connection) to listen to your Hi-Res audio files with an extra measure of detail and clarity.
JBL Spatial Sound: JBL's proprietary Spatial Sound gives you an immersive listening experience that feels like you're in a theater, concert, or studio with the artists. JBL Spatial Sound works from any device or source you are using.
Microphones: The headphones are equipped with 4 microphones on the ear cups to enhance call quality, pick up ambient sound, and to access your favorite voice assistant. The adaptive beamforming mics pick up the voice for clear and accurate reproduction, and pick up ambient noise for the Adaptive Noise Cancelling function. Voice Aware lets you choose how much of your voice you want to hear in the earbuds. The adjustment takes place in the JBL Headphones app.
Wired Listening Mode: The JBL Tour One M2 headphones come with an audio cable for those times when you can't, or don't want to, listen wirelessly. The 48" straight cable has a slim 3.5mm plug that is angled at 45° for most portable devices. On the headphone end is a 2.5mm plug to connect to the right ear cup. An airline adapter (3.5mm female to dual 3.5mm male) is included to let you plug into on-board entertainment provided on many airliners. When listening with the audio cable, you can enjoy your Hi-Res Audio files and a wider frequency range up to 40kHz. Wireless (Bluetooth) listening has a frequency range to 20kHz.
True Adaptive Noise Cancelling: The Adaptive Noise Cancelling (ANC) and Ambient Aware features let you choose whether you want to shut out your environment or connect to it. ANC lets you focus on your music or just enjoy the silence by eliminating noise from your surroundings. Microphones pick up ambient noise and ANC applies an equal-but-opposite audio signal to cancel that noise. If you want to be more aware of your surroundings, you can enable Smart Ambient, which take the sounds of your surroundings and send them into the earphones. Using the Personal Sound Amplification feature in the JBL Headphones app, you can adjust the left/right balance and amplify ambient sounds +15-20dB. You'll be able to listen to public announcements, or just hear what's going on around you, without removing your headphones. The TalkThru feature simply lowers the level of the music to let you talk to your friends without removing the headphones.
Smart Talk: Smart Talk works with the TalkThru mode by automatically lowering the volume of your music when you begin to speak, and resumes the volume of your music when your chat is over. In the JBL Headphones App, you can enable/disable Smart Talk, and set the duration of the delay (5 sec, 15 sec, or 20 sec) for lowering your music once you begin to speak.
Silent Now: When you want to enjoy nothing but quiet, Silent Now turns off Bluetooth and stops your music playback, and turns on ANC to cancel out ambient noise.
Voice Assistant: You can access the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa by simply pressing and holding the button on the left ear cup. Setup for your preferred voice assistant is done in the JBL Headphones app. You can also access Siri, Bixby, or other native voice assistants with the multi-function button on the right ear cup.
Auto Play/Pause: During music playback, the music automatically pauses when you remove the headphones. To resume playback, simply replace the headphones over your ears. Auto Play/Pause can be enabled or disabled in the Headphones App.
Bluetooth: The Tour One M2 wireless over-ear headphones feature Bluetooth Version 5.3, and are compatible with A2DP (v1.3.2), AVRCP (v1.6.2), and HFP (v1.7.2) profiles. You can pair with a maximum of two devices at the same time (Multi-point Connection), and switch between them using the controls on the device you desire to listen to. Google's Fast Pair immediately pairs the Tour One M2 to your Android device, while Microsoft's Swift Pair instantly pairs the headphones to your Windows 10 and up laptop.
JBL Headphones App: The JBL Headphones App, available for iOS and Android devices, provides extra controls and settings beyond the on-board buttons. In the app, you can select from 5 preset EQ curves, as well as customize or create your own EQ settings. The special Low Volume Dynamic EQ feature lets you boost both low and high frequencies at low volume for a high fidelity performance. In the app, the Personi-fi 2.0 feature uses data about your personal profile (gender, age, etc.) and your environment, to personalize the sounds of your headphones. JBL Headphones App provides access to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice assistants to control the headphones with your voice. The app displays the battery level of your headphones as a percentage. Any product or firmware updates will come wirelessly through the app to the headphones. The app also has a product tutorial and FAQs under the Product Help tab. JBL Headphones App is compatible with iOS devices (11.0 or later) and Android devices (7.0 and up).
Battery: The Tour One M2 over-ear wireless headphones are powered by a built-in 3.7V 920mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable battery.
