Product Research

Features

Portable Waterproof Design: The JBL Wind 3 features a rubberized housing that's designed for all-weather use and carries an IP67 waterproof rating.

Handlebar Mount: The Wind 3 includes a mounting bracket for attaching the portable speaker to a bicycle handlebar, letting you listen to music while you ride. The mount features a single clamp-screw that lets you quickly attach and detach the mount to your handlebar. A built-in belt clip lets you attach the speaker to the handlebar mount or attach it to a belt, pocket, or backpack strap.

Full-Range Driver: The JBL Wind 3 houses a single full-range driver powered by a built-in 5W RMS amplifier.

Bluetooth Functionality: The JBL Wind 3 features built-in Bluetooth (v. 5.0) featuring support for wireless audio (A2DP 1.3) and control (AVRCP 1.6). The portable speaker lets your stream stored music, music apps, and other audio content from your Bluetooth-enabled source device (such as your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer). The Wind 3 can also be used for hands-free phone calls (HFP 1.7) and features a built-in microphone. Phone functions include Answer/End Call and Ignore Call.

  • Control: You can control Play, Pause, Next/Previous track, and Volume +/- functions from the speaker, however, you will still continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for advanced music navigation, to view song/artist information, as well as viewing/selecting your phone book.
  • Pairing: The Wind 3 can pair with your Bluetooth-enabled device by simply searching and selecting the "JBL Wind 3".

FM Radio: The Wind 3 features a built-in FM tuner that can be selected using the Source button. Arrow up/down buttons on each side of the speaker can be used to advance to the next available FM station. A long press of either button activates the Auto Scan feature. FM station information will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Memory Card Playback: The JBL portable speaker includes a micro-SD card slot that lets you play music files stored on a micro-SD card (sold separately). Micro-SD cards up to 64GB are compatible.

Aux Input: A 3.5mm stereo input jack lets you connect a portable device's headphone output.

LCD: A front-panel 1-line LCD screen can provide information at a glance, such as the current FM radio station or the Clock. Icons for each Source will light when selected, and a battery level icon will display the current battery level.

Rechargeable Battery: The JBL Wind 3 portable Bluetooth speaker has a built-in Lithium-ion rechargeable battery (1050mAh) that provides up to 5 hours of playback time. You can easily recharge the battery using the included type-C to type-A USB (3.0) cable plugged into a computer or AC/USB power adapter (sold separately). Charging time is approximately 2.5 hours at 5V/1A.

Note: Battery life will vary by volume level and audio content. If the speaker will not be used for a long period of time, the battery should be recharged at least once every 3 months.
