How good is the FM sensitivity?
    [ Rich  Feb 27, 2021 ]
    1 answer
We have an abundance of strong FM stations in our area, so the sensitivity issue hasn't been a factor.
    [ Martin A  Feb 28, 2021 ]
How do you reset Jensen cdr5620? Mine is a year old and stopped working altogether.
    [ Donnie  Nov 12, 2020 ]

Good question bought this unit for my dads car earlier this year and was immediately disappointed in the receiver for am/fm but convinced him to use his phone like the rest of the modern world to stream music, but as of yesterday the entire unit has apparently frozen or stopped working as you have this weekend I will be making the trip to him to figure out if it can be fixed or if i'll be dealing with crutch or jensen on product replacement or reimbursement. I will let you know the outcome.

Mine does the same thing. i did what you did and it worked again. I don't know what's wrong with it, either. First thought it was the fuse, had to remove the radio from the dash to check. Fuse was ok. put everything back together and it worked!!?????
    [ Roman  Oct 22, 2020 ]
It would appear there is a wiring issue or the radio is defective. Good luck.
    [ Martin A  Oct 21, 2020 ]
I had a similar problem once where the radio stopped working. I recheck the wiring and plug-in's again. I restarted the car and it was working. The radio has continued to work and I had no issues. I not sure whether there is a defect in the radio or in the wiring harness. Hopefully it will not be an issue again.

Is there a microphone on this unit? Or does the bluetooth calling rely on you spending extra for the bluetooth compatible hardware kits to utilize the vehicles existing microphone?
    [ Josh  Sep 14, 2020 ]

Has a built in mic and it works great. People I've called using this receiver have said my voice comes across clearer than mobile phone mic.
    [ Kenneth  Sep 16, 2020 ]
Bluetooth microphone works through the radio.
    [ Russell  Sep 15, 2020 ]
There is a microphone in the upper left corner as you're looking at the unit. Unfortunately, in my experience, depending on the trim in the vehicle around the stereo, this may obscure what the driver is saying to whoever is on the phone. Sound comes through clearly from the passenger, though.

While we have not been able to test the various phones for compatibility, I seen that Scott's iPhone XS Max works with it and I also found from Apple's site that this phone and your iPhone XR have the same Bluetooth version. Given these facts, your phone should work with this receiver

Same here 4 hours off but like someone said before I set it 2 or 3 times and it finally worked.
    [ choyt58  Nov 25, 2020 ]
I had something like that happened. I went through the whole setup installation, I had to go through the setup a few time before that issue was fixed, mine was a 2 or 3 hrs behind.
    [ FELIX  Jun 11, 2020 ]
Mine keeps great time. Have you checked to make sure you have it set to the right time zone?

can your existing backup camera work with the radio? if so how
    [ Rachel  Jun 08, 2020 ]
    3 answers
The Jensen CDR5620 can use an existing backup camera. I just added one to my system when I installed it. You will need to add a wire from the positive side of your backup light to the Reverse (+) green/white wire and also add the red wire from the camera, and plug the camera (yellow RCA male plug) to the R CAM jack. This hookup will automatically show the camera image on the display when you go to reverse. If you want to manually turn the camera on and off connect the red (+) wire from the camera to the camera output 12V (+) red/white wire and you can to turn it on or off from the camera button on the display of the radio.
    [ Larry  Nov 26, 2020 ]
I am not certain because I added a Jensen Camera, but it should just plug into the video back plug.
    [ Jeff  Jun 08, 2020 ]
Rachel, I'm sorry but we had no existing back up camera and chose not to add one. Good luck.

There is a plug already wired to the back

The unit has an input for a front camera and a rear camera.
    [ JUSTIN  May 20, 2020 ]
Has anyone had a problem with the illumination? I got everything wired up correctly and the radio is getting power, but the display still isn't working.
    [ Ashley  May 15, 2020 ]
    3 answers
My guess would be to try the reset button, push and hold for about 3 seconds. Mine stopped illuminating and I had to reset it.
    [ JUSTIN  May 20, 2020 ]
I had no issues with the display. My display looks fine even in bright sunlight.
    [ Russell  May 15, 2020 ]
Sorry, no. But I can tell you that once you get the display running, the clock seems to have a mind of its own, which is true to the checkbox on the ordering page. Sometimes it is the same as my phone and other clock, but most of the time it is a few minutes behind, but over the course of 10-15 minutes sometimes catches up.

can this radio use the steering wheel controls?
    [ William  May 01, 2020 ]
    6 answers
If I remember correctly, there are two wiring harnesses that come with the radio. One of them will work with the steering wheel controls . I installed this radio in a Jeep Liberty and the steering wheel controls work fine. Hope this helps.
    [ Martin A  May 03, 2020 ]
Yes. You can change the song and volume. I personally. Can't answer the phone but you might be able to.

I am not sure. My vehicle isn't equipped with the steering wheel control via the radio, so it wasn't something that I was concerned with. Roman

Yes, with some vehicles, by adding the adapter. Check to see if the adapter will work with your vehicle model.

When you add it to your cart, Crutchfield will suggest two accessory packages, one of which will include a wiring harness/adapter for the steering wheel controls. This was my first time performing an install by myself, and it installed smoothly in my father's vehicle and his steering wheel controls still work like they did with the factory unit.
