I was prepared to buy a different set of speakers, but using Crutchfield's "Compare Sound" utility, I chose these instead. They're very nice; quality that I would expect from Kenwood, and a good value.

Crystal clear speakers. Pretty loud too. I replaced my old 21 year old speakers in my 02 wrx. This is exactly what I was looking for and the price is fantastic. Crutchfield was able to add everything I needed to make the install a breeze.

Great sounding speakers . Get the insulation for the speakers also. They clarify the sound from inside the doors to the cab .

Had high hopes for these speakers, they are just ok imo. They fit in the factory location pretty easily with the proper harness and I put in some low frequency (<300 hz) bass blockers to try to protect them a little. The tweeters are fairly harsh and are crossed over pretty low,they seem to allow a little sibilance through and with some songs they pick up the snare drum to the point it sounds sharp and annoying. I attached a spectrum analyzer screenshot and there is definitely a dip around 10khz followed by a sharp peak in the higher frequencies. Definitely had to play with the eq on the radio to try to balance the sound to my liking. Not sure why they make the tweeters so harsh, I just needed some better highs than the factory dash speakers, but these are a bit too much. I guess I prefer the sound of silk domes compared to whatever these are made of. Always thought Kenwood was an ok brand, these have changed my mind though.

Nice speakers. Fit into the dash of my 87 Bronco 2. Had to get creative to attach to factory screw mounts, but wasn't difficult. Factory has 3 mounts, speakers have 4. They sound great.

good starter system speakers

not bad if you plan to use a sub with them mostly highs and not a lot of mids and absolutely no bass. Otherwise they're a pretty good speaker. I wouldn't recommend running on an amp though they Peak very easily on a head unit with no amp The speakers are very good if you plan to start your first system in a car with only one amp for subwoofer otherwise I would not buy these unless it's your starter system with a sub

Nice for the price range

For $50 you can't really go wrong. I put these in my 04 Silverado that had partially blown speakers and I can at least hear clearly now. It's by no means component speakers but for what I need them to do and for $50 they are excellent.

Purchased these in anticipation of upcoming A/C repairs on my Vanagon Tintop. The rear evaporator housing must be removed for repairs, and this will be a good time to replace the clapped-out factory speakers. Note: old speakers are mounted INSIDE the housing, these will be mounted outside for easier future access. For flush mounting it was necessary to enlarge the holes slightly. I used a cordless drill and a rotary file. I can't report on the sound quality yet, but I expect a significant improvement. Based on results, I will consider these for future placement in front doors. Thanks to advisor Eddie, and to Crutchfield support!

I purchased the Kenwood four inch speakers to replace an aging pair of speakers situated on the rear parcel shelf of a 53 year old car I've owned for more than 30 years. Following the advice of the Crutchfield sales person to pair these speakers with the Kenwood AM/FM/CD player already installed in the car, the advice seemed logical. I was not prepared for the exponential improvement in sound quality the new Kenwood. speakers provided to my ride, simultaneously emitting full bass tones I did not imagine possible to come out of a four inch speaker along with crisp clean highs. These speakers exceeded my expectations. Not surprisingly, nowadays, when out for a drive, more often than not, I choose to take "the long way home".

Great sound for the money installed them in my 2004 Scion xB in the dash. Even though they said modified fit I gave them a try they dropped right in and 2 tabs lined up with the bolt holes just had to fold the other tabs down.

Silverado PU Rear Speakers

Rear door 4" round speakers replaced factory 4"X6" speakers, using the foam baffles. These sound quite a bit better than the old ones. Midrange and tweeters shine, with not much bass. I am pleased with the sound quality.

Horrible speakers! I've been doing car audio for over 20 years and these have to be the absolute WORST set of speakers I have ever installed. There is no way these things are properly rated. Worst sound quality ever. Sounds like I installed a set of ear buds in the doors! Run fast and far from these. Absolutely ZERO BASS. Sounds like they have bass blockers installed inline.
