Features

Tweeters: Each speaker has a 1" PEI balanced dome tweeter. A semi-dome tweeter has a dome placed inside a cone. Balanced dome tweeters are semi-dome tweeters with equal reproduction area given the cone and dome portions of the tweeter. PEI (Poly-Ether-Imide) is a polymer film that produces a wide soundstage for superior imaging.

Customer Q&A

Q
Has anyone run these on an amp? I want to power them with a 4channel amp.
[ Carlos  Apr 18, 2020 ]

A
I have. They are great for treble and mid range. It you are looking for bass, you won't get anything from here. You'll need to get speakers specifically for bass. These are not made to produce bass!!

Q
Does it have any base to it and if it does is it good?
[ Kyle  Apr 01, 2020 ]

A
I would say no. I paired these with 2 12 inch subs to handle the bass. These have very clear high end and awesome vocals. Would not buy if looking for bass

Sorry I installed this in a 2009 Honda Pilot.

Q
Does it come with a tweeter? Cant seem to understand if the "Pair" means two front 5 inch speakers or if it means it comes with one front 5 inch speaker and one 1 inch tweeter.
[ Bruce Lee  Jun 10, 2018 ]

A
These are 2-way speakers. The tweeter is mounted to the front of the woofer. You get 2 speakers, each with a woofer and a tweeter.
[ Will  Nov 08, 2018 ]
A
No, it does not come with a tweeter. It is only the speaker.
[ Jerry Dale  Jun 12, 2018 ]
A
"Pair" means two front 5 inch speakers.
[ Will  Jun 11, 2018 ]
A
It's a pair of speakers. no separate tweeter.
[ Kevin  Jun 10, 2018 ]
Q
the sound seems flat. I checked the polarities and inserted them correctly and the output still seems flat. Any recommendations?

I installed my speakers just yesterday in my 2006 Ford Explorer rear doors. My OEM speakers went bad and the Kenwood speakers work great and sound great. Not sure of what you concern is with a flat output.
[ Earl  Mar 08, 2018 ]
A
It might be grounding someplace.
[ Dennis  Mar 08, 2018 ]
A
To me it sounds pretty good compared to my old speakers, try editing the sound from your radio, for example your treble, subwoofer and bass.
