Two huge flaws

Great head unit with two huge flaws: 1) DVD video cannot be fed to the rear video out while doing literally anything else, so forget using this to feed DVD video to a rear seat monitor; and 2) there is an awful echo in phone calls in both Bluetooth and hardwired connections - people on the other end hear everything they say, everything they say, back at them, back at them. Given that the DVD player only works if you're watching DVDs in the front as well as the rear, my recommendation is to either look elsewhere or simply opt for a unit without the disc drive. My hope is that Kenwood will release a software update to fix the echo, echo. Hard to believe they released this one in 2022 with that major flaw. It's a shame, because it really is a solid head unit otherwise.

Kenwood DDX57S

Would give a 5 except that unit takes 15 to 20 seconds to start playing every time you start the vehicle. Very annoying and I was not informed of this when I purchased the unit.
