Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)
They work great. No issues.
These high-performance, heavy-duty banana connectors from Monster feature a two-piece, screw-on design that gives you easy and reliable speaker cable termination — no tools needed. They also boast nine separate 24k gold-plated leaf spring contacts for maximum signal transfer without corrosion. If your receiver or speakers have banana-compatible binding posts, these connectors are super-easy to plug in, and they give you a solid, dependable contact.

They work great. No issues.
Well made and easy to assemble. Gives an excellent connection.
Pros: easy to assemble
Might be too big and no curve for some connections. Other banana plug options might work better. Shop around before deciding.
Pros: High quality.
Cons: Don't work in all systems.
Excellent product for external speakers
Pros: Easy to assemble, great for outdoors
Cons: Would be better if the back end had some weather proofing, had to silicone the wire opening to ensure to minimize corrosion
Excellent solid construction. For reference will fit 12 AWG copper wire, though lists 14 and 16. May be a tight fit to use 10 gauge wire.
Pros: Good screw lock connection Good gold plated and tight contacts
Great product. Very easy to set up. Great look and solid product
Pros: Easy to set up and install
Works really well. They are easy to put on, and grip the jacks really well. These replace some RocketFish plugs I was using before that just didn't seat that tight, and didn't screw together as well.
Pros: Easy to use, fits tight
Cons: gets spendy if you have multiple cables to make
Works great, very easy to use. Highly recommend
Easy as can be, I've had another set for a few years that has been trouble free. These are slightly deeper than the previous version, FYI.
Very well made. Fits 12 GA Crutchfield wire easily. Simple to put together.
Pros: Easy to put together
Cons: A tad pricey
Used these connectors to connect my Polk S55 speakers to the amp. We're easy to install and provide a very secure and solid connection.
Pros: Solid connection, easy to install, and fit the large speaker wire.
Quick to use, no additional tools needed (allen key) like my older set.
I recently purchased speakers from Crutchfield. Excellent experience from this company. I Bi Wired and these are a no brainer simple solution for proper connections.
Pros: Simple excellent connection
easy to install on 14 gauge wire
Yep these work great. You just have to fold the raw wire over the edge, then screw on the second piece to lock it, and you are good to go.
Easy install. Monster quality
I was sold these by the salesman who told me I needed these to connect the system I purchased. I didn't need them so be more knowledgeable when you purchase from here. Don't like add on sales. My fault i took their word. Cant rate this item as I did not use them. Rating system is crappy. Will only let me put 3 or 5 stars. Buyers beware.
Pros: dont know
Cons: dont knowCrutchfield response on 7/25/2017 Once we saw this review, our Customer Support team reached out to Dave to issue a refund.
WOW ! Monster has created another great product. gives the real meaning for DIY. easy to use. just remember that Monster color codes blue for negative. clean, professional appearance once installed.
Pros: Easy to use. professional appearance once installed.
Cons: remember, Monster color codes negative terminal in blue.
As always great products from Crutchfield. Easy to use.
Pros: Ease of use.
Makes setting up a system much easier while ensuring a good connection.
Pros: Works as advertised. Makes modifications and set up less tedious. These should be a standard for all speaker wiring.
These QuickLock Self-Crimping Banana Connectors are amazingly simple to attach, help conduct great sound, and remain securely fastened if you need to move your equipment or temporarily unplug your wires. In my opinion, they should really be the standard form of banana connector. I put my first set on almost 3 years ago and I've never had to reset them. Put them on once and you're done. I hope Monster keeps making them for years to come.
Pros: Inexpensive considering how effective and durable they are, strong (they must be unscrewed to be removed -- they don't pull off or become loose), great sound, convenient.
Cons: Monster uses red and blue instead of red and black, and this may initially cause a bit of confusion.
These Monsters Cable banana plugs are the bomb! They are all I use for terminating my Audioquest X2 14 gauge speaker cable. The combination of connectors and X2 cables are strong and transparent adding no coloration that I can detect. An added benefit is that the connectors are completely reusable. Simply unscrew them, pull out the old wire and you'really all set with a new connector looking for a new cable. I love and highly recommend the Monster Quick Locks for all my speaker and amplifier connections
Pros: Secure, transparent and reusable.
These are solid and high quality connectors. It is easy to install and can keep the audio wire securely connected. Absolutely no complaints.
Pros: Easy to install, high quality
Quick and easy connections; seem tight and strong
Pros: ease of use strength
Work good but a bit overpriced.
Pros: Easy to use.
Simple to install on the speaker wire making a solid connection you don't have to worry about again. Highest quality product.
Pros: Easy to install and make an awesome connection.
Cons: Can be pulled off the wire if you have to move things around a lot after installation. But if you're careful it's fine.
These are nice, and they don't require tools. Separate banana plugs are fine for the receiver, but they make less sense for the speaker connections because of the possibility of shorting if they are unplugged from the speaker.
Easy to connect and sound good
These work as advertised. No issues at all, easy to install. Quality is high and they fit very snug in my amp and speakers.
They work great! I bought the crimp on one's before and they broke crimping them.
Pros: Easy, no tools required .
These monster banana plugs are second to one. Easy to install and highly reliable. Great product as you pay what you get.
24K Gold Contacts: Monster Cable's Black Platinum QuickLock Banana-plug connectors utilize 24k gold contacts for mast signal transfer and corrosion resistance.
Gripping Teeth & Ring Lock: The Black Platinum QuickLock Banana-plug connectors employ gripping teeth and a ring-lock for a secure connection to your speaker wire that will not turn lose.
Self-Crimping Installation: Unlike most connectors that require crimping tools, these QuickLock connectors from Monster Cable require no tools.

Easy and secure connection [ MICHAEL Dec 07, 2016 ]
Thinking back to when I connected mine, I believe they will accommodate a second wire. It will be tight, though. [ Joseph Jun 01, 2018 ]
I doubt it. I'm using 14 gauge wiring and they fit in easily enough for one wire, but two would be a biy too thick in my opinion. On the other hand, you're only out about $25 if you try it and it doesn't work. [ Donald Jun 01, 2018 ]
I used a 16 gauge wire/cable and, after twisting the wire tightly, it easily slipped into the opening. I don't think it will accommodate two 14 gauge wires twisted together. But, frankly, I'm not sure. Suggest you call or email a "technical type" before purchasing. [ Cynthia May 29, 2018 ]
I'm afraid Monster doesn't specify any maximum cable gauge for their self-crimping Banana connectors. You may want to try reaching out to their support directly by phone at 877-800-8989. [ Larry Aug 06, 2017 ] Staff
I'm using 16 gauge speaker wire and there's additional space available in connector; but I'm not sure if enough for 10 gauge. Sorry I can't help. [ Cynthia Aug 01, 2017 ]
