Customer Q&A

Q
Crutchfield asked: Why did you buy this?
A
Replacement speakers for my Nissan Xterra Pro 4x4. Original speakers started sounding bad as if blown. I chose JBL for front and back based on the type of music I listened to and based on a recommendation from chatting with specialist online. Excellent service, I would recommend talking with an individual from Crutchfield to verify your choices and selection based on what you want to accomplish. [ Ralph  Mar 02, 2019 ]

A
I've removed door panels and trim with a screwdriver or putty knife before, and it tends to leave scrape marks or strain discoloration. My uncle owned an upholstery shop 20 years ago and he had tools like this that made it easy. I don't want to mess up my new truck's door panels or break clips when I install new speakers, so I'm thinking this tool will be far better than a screwdriver. [ Herbert  Mar 30, 2018 ]

Perfect for prying those little door panel clips off without undue damage, so you can save them and reuse. Otherwise you may find it takes some muscle to disassemble the door. It is also possible to lose control and damage the panel, so a well-designed tool is worth the expense. [ Leticia  Feb 13, 2018 ]

A
I chose this tool because it was shown as an accessory to speakers being ordered, my past experience trying not to damage door panels upon removal, and the fact that the speakers will likely be installed by a novice who will receive them as a gift. It's always helpful to use the proper tool for a task rather than having to improvise. [ Luke  Dec 05, 2015 ]
