Sometimes, the problem is obvious: your antenna is broken or missing. Sometimes, it's more subtle: your radio reception (particularly on the AM band) is weaker than usual and getting worse.

Either way, you need a new antenna. With a 31" detachable mast and a 72" cable, this antenna is a convenient solution for a wide variety of vehicles. This model is also available in Silver. Warranty: 60 days.

Overview: The Metra AntennaWorks 44-GM935 aftermarket antenna allows you to replace the OEM (factory) antenna of many 82-up GM (General Motors) vehicles. The 44-GM935 aftermarket antenna features a 31" single-section stainless steel mast which is removable, 5 mounting bases, and an attached 72" cable terminated by a male motorola connector. The antenna is available in Black or Steel.

Will this fit a 1" diameter hole?

It fit my factory size hole on 93 s-10 blazer. I didn't measure the hole size so I really can't say for sure.

Yes. I had this antenna connected to an HD receiver in my last car, it worked well.

I don't know, in my area their isn't any HD stations available. I do know that this did the trick for me though. My old antenna couldn't pick up very much and after replacing it with this one I get a lot more reception.
