Metra 70-1731 Wiring Harness

This vehicle-specific wiring harness makes connections between your new car stereo and your car's electrical system.

First, attach the color-coded wires on your Crutchfield-supplied harness to the wires from your new stereo. If you're not using a soldering iron, we recommend that you purchase some wire connectors to secure the connections. Check out our handy article on three ways to connect the wiring harness here.

Now, once this harness is connected to your new stereo, you'll be able to plug right into your car's factory radio connector. This harness makes installing your new stereo easier, and allows you to put the factory radio back when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease.

The harness also includes an adapter for Metra's ASWC-1, which allows you to keep your steering wheel controls. A detailed instruction sheet comes with the harness. Warranty: 60 days.

Compatibility: The Metra 70-1731 wiring harness is used for installing an aftermarket head unit in a 2016-up Honda Civic LX.

Notes:

This wiring harness prevents you from having to cut your vehicle's factory radio plug when replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket head unit. Simply solder or crimp the Crutchfield wiring harness to your aftermarket head unit's harness (solder & crimps not included), plug the aftermarket head unit's plug into the rear chassis of the aftermarket head unit, and plug the Crutchfield wiring harness into your vehicle's factory radio plug.

Retains Factory Backup Camera: The Metra 70-1731 wiring harness includes a male composite video jack which allows you to retain your vehicle's factory backup camera (requires 12V-to-6V adapter - sold separately).

Optional Steering Wheel Control Interface: The Metra 70-1731 wiring harness is pre-wired for the Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel control interface (120ASWC1, sold separately). By connecting the ASWC-1, you are able to retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls when replacing the factory radio with an SWC-compatible aftermarket radio.

Yes, as my memory the 70-1731 contains two gray harnesses. The main harness is a gray harness with also connected to it is the little black harness and a black plug (the little black harness and plug both are for steering wheel control which I personally did not even hook these up). The other gray harness is only for the back-up camera which this harness has only just a few wires and a yellow plug ( I did not even use this harness either because I did not care to much about the back-up camera and plus my pioneer did not have a screen). Just for additional information one other harness will be needed and that is the antenna harness which is the single white harness.

it should fit as it did on my 2017, i used it to replace the base head unit- no amp and other stuff. it is possible that the module for the steering wheel controls is different for 2019.
