Everything you need-unless you're connecting an adapter for SWC.
Jeremiah T from Graham, WA on 2/13/2019
2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
Simple harness; easy to install. The one drawback is that, to use the steering wheel control adapter, pins with wires need to be added to this harness. For my application, a 1998 Buick Park Avenue, the pins need to be added to sockets E1 and E5. Ideally, that should be made clear to customers before purchase. Because I have experience with this application in similar cars I knew to expect that. The documentation for the steering wheel control adapter includes the information but the pins and wires aren't included with the installation equipment. I purchased a separate harness from an auto parts store and was able to get the necessary pins and wires from that harness to add to this one.
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Does not include pins or wires needed to retain steering wheel controls.

Patrick from Lewistown, PA on 5/15/2017

Overall, I was pleased with this wiring harness adapter, but I needed access to a wire from my factory harness that didn't have a pin or wire even attached to this adapter. This +12V Analog Signal Wire was to wire in the steering wheel controls programmer. I bought everything as one kit, so, naturally, I assumed everything would be as simple as solder, plug, and play (without modification to the factory wiring harness). I ended up having to cut a wire from the factory harness to solder to which I was not pleased in doing so.
Pros: Fitment Ease of Installation
Cons: Didn't have +12V Analog Signal Wire (steering wheel controls)

Sent the wrong harness?
Rhett from Marblehead, Oh on 8/20/2016
1999 Oldsmobile Bravada
When I fist got the harness, there was a few wires that didn't match the instructions or the details on the product page. My real problem: For some reason, my speaker layout is not correct with the fade/balance on my Bravada's speakers. With the factory head unit, layout is fine. But with this harness, all speakers are not correct and stereo separation, fade, and balance are useless. Not very happy about his. I triple checked the wiring between my head unit's harness and this harness. It's correct.
Pros: Makes turning on factory amps easy.
Cons: Sent a different harness than advertised?

JLMTECH from Jackson, NJ on 9/2/2014

Harness adapter really simplifies the install. I use solder-less crimp on connectors on both ends, adapter and the radio unit. Do it outside the car prior to install and just have to connect up to the car harness and ready to go.
Pros: Simplifies the install, leaves little room for error.
Cons: Could consider supplying some of the mentioned solder-less connectors with install kit. I did need to connect the Power Antenna lead from Radio to car. Typically I don't. But my vehicle (2002 Buick Century) has an electronic rear window antenna and module that needs this power, else AM radio doesn't work, FM is week. Somewhere in instructions could be more clear for the specific vehicle type.

Mike C from Virginia Beach, VA on 1/4/2013

Serves the basic audiophiles needs. All the necessary wiring to connect the audio device to your vehicle harness. That said most cars usually have additional options like steering controls and odd little features the factory radio may handle. Throwing a few extra universal wires in the kit would be a bonus. I ended up buying a second to pull out pins to connect a steering adapter module.

Wiring Harness
Jeff from Ft Lauderdale, FL on 5/28/2012
1995 Buick LeSabre
The wiring harness plugged into the stock radio connection perfectly. All it took was a few minutes with a soldiering gun and dome shrink tube to attach to the new radio (yes, I know it can be done with butt connectors or wire nuts, but I like to do things right). The harness allowed for directly plugging into the stock GM radio harness without modification to the car's wiring.
Pros: The harness allows for connecting a modern stereo into the stock car wiring without modifying the car's wiring. It's just a simple connection of the harness to the new stereo's adapter and then plug right into the car's stock wiring harness. No cutting of the stock wiring!
Cons: None
