This harness fits the bill quite nicely. I never condone cutting into a factory harness. I've seen too many hack jobs in my time. The connector fits the OEM harness very nicely and positive.
Pros: Good fit with the OEM connector. Easy color coding to aftermarket recevier harness.
Cons: Wish they came with extra wires and pins for custom integration (i.e. steering wheel control adapters)

Okay, Could Be Better
Morgen from Lafayette, IN on 3/18/2019
2011 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Pretty good, but not great. Includes Battery Power, Ground, Ignition Sense, Illumination, Power Antenna, Remote Amp, All 4 Standard Speaker Channels. Did not include the steering wheel buttons that were right there in the OEM harness. So, I bought two of these and removed a couple pins from the second and moved them to the one I was using. Would have been nice to avoid that issue, but it wasn't a huge deal if you know hat you're doing.
Pros: Good Fit Low Price Standard Color Codes
Cons: Doesn't Include All Available Wires

Quick, convenient
Alan from Arlington, TX on 1/5/2018
2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
Simple and effective for connecting directly to the factory harness. The instructions should be more complete and tell you that sometimes factory radios have two or more connectors and you only need to use this one for the new radio. The Crutchfield help desk people quickly answered it for me. I also used the optional Crutchfield pre-wiring service since I also had the Axxess steering wheel control and that worked great too. Well worth the extra $ to have all the wires connected.
Pros: Plug and Play
Cons: Instructions should clarify what to do if more than one connector on factory radio

A first disappointment from a Crutchfield purchase
Mark from Melbourne, FL on 7/5/2016
2016 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport
This harness was recommended by Crutchfield tech support as the preferred product for a Kenwood head unit and Axxess steering wheel control adapter installation in an Outlander Sport. Wiring the head unit was pretty straightforward. However, this harness is deficient in wiring in the Axxess control adapter. And this is only due to the lack of 2 wires in the connector (pins 9 and 19). Since every model of this vehicle has steering wheel controls, one would assume the high likelyhood of needing to adapt these to a new head unit. Therefore, one would expect this harness to be prepopulated with the missing wires. As is, the only options to making the Axxess work with this harness is to splice separately into the factory harness for the missing 2 wires (circumventing the overall purpose of using this harness in the first place), or add pins to the connector yourself. This harness should include pins/wires to pin 9 & 19.
Pros: Flawless integration of head unit.
Cons: Missing pins 9 & 19 necessary to adapt steering wheel control adapter should be included in the connector.

It works
Derrick from Tulsa, OK on 6/10/2016
2015 Mitsubishi Lancer
It does what it's designed to which is about all you can ask of any product. I will say I was a little dissatisfied with the coloring on some of the wires, which made proper wiring slightly more difficult than necessary. For example, I believe it was the green and the green/black stripe speaker leads that the two greens looked nothing alike. I believe it was the one with black stripe that looked almost gray instead. But aside from that, easy to use, plenty of wire lead, and a well made connector.

The Crutchfield order was smooth and very pleaseant. If I ever make any purchase my first priority is doing so from Crutchfield. However the sosche dash kit wasn't the best fit for my 2011 lancer. Other than that I was happy with the sale and it was a pleasure doing business with Crutchfield.
Pros: Good radio. Pleasant transaction
Cons: Sosche dash kit wasn't the best fit.

Read Carefully!!!!!! Does not fit all Lancers
Dan from TX on 2/4/2012
2010 Mitsubishi Lancer
There are certain circumstances that keep the makers of this product (Metra) from getting every car right; this one is one of them. This harness does not fit the DE trim of Mitsubishi Lancers. Mine is a 2010 DE and after looking at the harness and the factory harness, the wires don't match up. After finding this out and spending all night trying to figure out the factory wire colors and their purpose, which was eventful, I determined that I had to cut into the factory harness and wire it myself. This was confirmed by both Crutchfield and Metra customer service. Hopefully Crutchfield and Metra will add the DE to the "Not-Compatible" list, because it would have saved me a great deal of time not even messing with this harness in the first place. Buyer beware! This didn't work for me but if you have the regular 4 speaker system in the higher trim levels, you should be good.
Pros:
Cons: Did not fit vehicle even though compatibility finder said it did. Led me to a ton of work that wasn't necessary.

It fits the OEM plug, the problem is that there is no accessory power at the OEM plug for the 2010 Lancer!, so you'll have to rewire the power yourself. My advice is that if you have limited or no knowledge take it to a shop. At least all speaker wires and constant 12V matched.

This harness has nice build quality. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't missing pins 9 and 19, which are used for steering wheel controls. As it was, to avoid splicing into the factory wires, I had to tear apart another harness to get the pins I needed.
