2004 Nissan 350Z
These were provided with my component speaker purchase for my 2004 350Z. They allow you to plug-n-play into the door speakers so there's no splicing or any other work, typically. This would be a plug-n-play with no other alterations if you were connecting to something with quick-connect plugs, like 2 or 3 way speakers or a crossover with quick connects. However, my Kicker 43CSS654 component speakers come with a crossover that the input side just has bare wires. So I clipped the quick-connect connectors off this wiring harness, and spliced and soldered and shrink-wrapped this harness directly to the wires of the input for the crossover. Then it essentially is a plug-n-play, solid connection for my crossovers. Simple job, and now it plugs right into the factory speaker plugs in the doors. Thanks, Crutchfield!

2002 Nissan Maxima
Worked perfectly for the replacing the front and rear door factory speakers of my 2002 Nissan Maxima. If you have a 5th generation (2002-2003) Maxima without Bose factory system, these are the harnesses you need.
Pros: Allows you a quality connection for aftermarket speakers without cutting factory harnesses, and free with speaker purchase.
Cons: These are the correct harnesses for 2002-2003 Nissan Maxima without Bose although Crutchfield says they're not. You have to mention this when purchasing your speakers so they send you correct the harnesses for your install.

I'm not sure exactly where the problem lies with this free wiring harness (between the harness and the Rockford Fosgate Punch speakers I received together), but I think it's this harness. The smaller of the two leads is way too small to fit on the smaller speaker lead, so I had to remove the smaller Metra lead and attach a larger lead to each of the four wiring harnesses. Now, Crutchfield supplied extra leads, so maybe they knew they wouldn't fit properly? I guess that's possible, but why not have Metra just make the smaller lead a bit bigger?
Pros: Clip attachment to car is excellent
Cons: Smaller of the two speaker leads is way too small for my Speakers

Used on my Nissan 350z door system. Plug fits righ in, but I had to cut these and "weld" them since I installed a component system and the crossovers didn't had the proper end fittings. No big deal now since it's plug and play. Best thing is that these were included for free with my order. Way to go crutchfield!

These were included at no extra cost by Crutchfield when I ordered the Polk Audio DB6502 speaker set for my 2012 Nissan Leaf. I had to loosen up the connector with a small screwdriver before it would go onto the speakers' spades-without doing that, I was afraid I might break something, it was so tight. On the second speaker, I loosened it too much, and had to get channel locks to re-tighten them. I don't know how this difficulty could be addressed by the manufacturer, but it would be nice . . . .

Cons: Spade/lug connection was too tight, and needed careful adjustment.

These plugged right up to the factory plugs off the factory speakers, but i purchased rockford fosgate speakers for the doors and the the plug with the big end wasnt quite big enough so i had to put a bigger end on the wire. Other then that they worked great. Not a big issue. and 2 min fix.
Pros: Plugged to factory plug easily No cutting wires and having to straight wire speakers Made the install alot quicker
Cons: The big end of the plug wasn't quite big enough for the prong on the speaker, simple and easy fix.

These harnesses made install a breeze. No cutting factory plugs which is good if i decide to sell my car and put factory speakers back in.

It worked perfectly for my 2009 Nissan Versa. I had to drill a hole in the door to re-route the speaker wires but after that it worked!
