They fit my Camry correctly. I had to dremel some tabs to get my Morel speakers to fit. They don't rattle, so...

Everything lined up just great with the holes in the facotry door. Once I installed the speakers onto the brackets, it was a piece of cake to take off the door panel, and get these mounted right in. The fact that these brackets came for free with the purchase of the speakers puts Crutchfield above all other companies, both in customer care, and product availability.

Did not line up with existing holes in Rear Deck. I installed a set of 6 3/4" Kicker 2-way speakers to replace the stock speakers. Ended up using the stock brackets by cutting out the factory speakers; leaving just the ring that bolts into the deck. I cut out the plastic ribs and drilled 4 holes through the plastic to mount the new speakers to the stock brackets. I used the clip/nuts supplied with the Kicker speakers and added a little silicone to make sure there was no vibration. Worked awesome.

This was a perfect fit for the front doors of my 2012 Toyota Camry. I was sold a different set at a local store, but they didn't know that this model apparently gets its own specific set.

Pros: Perfect fit.

Cons: None

This adapter set was suggested along with a set of Pioneer speakers I purchased for my Wife's Camry. Crutchfield makes life EASY for us do it yourself types & this adapter set fit the door panel & speaker like a glove. Metra did a good job withe design including the cut-out for the speakers wires to slip thru .... very well done !

Pros: Good design & build quality.

Cons: None

Product Research

Features

Overview: As of 11/13/14, the 82-8150 is compatible with select 2012-2014 Toyota models. The bracket is designed to allow easy replacement of the factory speakers with select aftermarket 6-1/2 and 6-3/4 speakers. (Please refer to the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector to confirm fit in your vehicle.)

6-3/4 Speakers: For a 6-3/4 speaker to fit in the opening of this bracket, the tabs around the inner speaker opening will need to be removed. They are scored along the bottom for easy removal, but still may require pliers and a file.

6-1/2 Speakers: 6-1/2 speakers with the 3-hole bolt pattern or the symmetrical 4-hole bolt pattern can be mounted using the tabs around the inner speaker opening of this bracket.

5-1/4 Speakers: While a 5-1/4 speaker will mount easily in this bracket given the bolt pattern, the frame of a typical 5-1/4 is approximately 1/2" smaller than the opening in the bracket, making a 6-1/2 or 6-3/4 a better fit. When using a 5-1/4, a speaker baffle must also be used to seal the rear of the speaker.

Dimensions:

  • Inner Diameter: 5.744" (not accounting for the inner tabs)
  • Height: 1.05"
  • Three-Hole Tab Spacing (6-1/2): 4.637"-4.928"
  • Four-Hole Tab Spacing (6-1/2):
    • Perimeter: 3.8"-4.03"
    • Diagonal: 5.36"-5.68"
  • Four-Hole Spacing (6-3/4):
    • Perimeter: 4.4"
    • Diagonal: 6.225"

Q
What is the hole spacing of the bracket itself, will it match the holes on the front door and rear speakers of my 2001 Toyota Camry 16x9 factory speakers?

Sorry, no. The Metra 82-8150 bracket is compatible with select 2012-2014 Toyota models. We recommend the Scosche SAC656 adapter for installing 6.5" or 5.25" in the front doors of the 2001 Camry: www.crutchfield.com/p_142SAC656/item.html

I bought these for a 2015 Camry, which was several generations later, so my answer may or may not help. I have not replaced my rear deck speakers, so I am unsure. But I know I had to modify the brackets for my front door speakers. It took work, but from memory there was a set of tabs on the outside of the plastic bracket that prevented it from sitting properly. Once those were cut off they worked well. From memory, I initially thought certain holes might need to be bored out, but that wasn't it. So, short answer is that out of the box they absolutely did not work on my 2015 Camry. I did get them to work with some sort of modification, but it was a struggle. But they have a lot of different bold patterns on them for different designs, which may work for youbout of the box. Or need modifying like I had to do. Sorry that I don't have a definitive answer.
