Stock ford radio removal tool supplied with install kit. No charge for install kit and the tool can be handy, although any wire that is the right size will work to remove the factory radio. The real advantage to this tool is that it locks on the radio and gives you leverage to pull it out ove the dash. Makeshift tools will usually force you to get in behind the stock radio and push it out, not impossible, just inconvenient. [ George  Dec 28, 2017 ]

Ford and Mazda radios require a special tool to remove. You can make your own from coat hangers, but I'd recommend the tools because they work a little better. If you have to remove the factory radio in a Ford you will need these to tools to remove the radio. These tools insert into holes in the side of the factory radio and disengage the retaining clips. The retaining clips are on the side of the unit. Once the clips are disengaged the tools will help pull the factory unit out. For best results make sure you keep side pressure on tools as you ease the unit out. If you try to just jerk/ pull hard straight out on these tools you will run into problems [ EDWARD  Feb 06, 2016 ]

Need it to remove the old stereo. [ Omer  Dec 07, 2015 ]

I chose this item because in times past while working on car stereos I have found that having the right tools makes the job a lot easier to complete. These particular tools in this case were offered at no additional charge so it was a double win. These tools will make removal of the existing stereo a lot easier I'm sure! [ Todd  Dec 06, 2015 ]

These are the tools that will allow you to remove the headunit in that vehicle! They are included with any radio install package you get with us, or can be bought separately!

Sorry, I don't know. I do know it works on a Ford factory unit in 2001-2006 Supere Duty trucks. Maybe other Ford factory units, too.

I haven't used it on the specific car that you are using it on. But all the vehicles I used this tool on has four holes on the front face of the stock deck. So check your stock deck and see if there is four holes on the front. The hole are located on the left and right side. Holes will be vertical about 2 inches apart. Hope this helps.

if you have 2 set of holes on either side of the factory radio then this tool will work. they come in different shapes and designs but the ends and the gauge of tip is what is important. in a pinch if you cut 2 pieces of wire coat hanger and shape them like these it will work in a pinch.
