Does this work on 1999 Miata with Bose head unit?

These are the tools that will allow you to remove the headunit in that vehicle! They are included with any radio install package you get with us, or can be bought separately!

Sorry, I don't know. I do know it works on a Ford factory unit in 2001-2006 Supere Duty trucks. Maybe other Ford factory units, too.

Yes it will be very helpful. This releases the clips on each side of the receiver that hold it in place. Hope that helps.

When I use the sites tool to list compatible items for my car, it says this is the tool for me. On the actual page for this tool, it says it doesn't fit my car...Anyone used this to remove the stock stereo on a 2002 Ford Focus ZX3? Cheers!

it will work
[ James  Jan 04, 2018 ]
yes I have but a little tricky
[ James  Oct 11, 2017 ]
I have used on an 08 Ranger to remove the stock radio. Probably Focus would have same radio.
[ Milton  Sep 03, 2015 ]
I haven't used it on the specific car that you are using it on. But all the vehicles I used this tool on has four holes on the front face of the stock deck. So check your stock deck and see if there is four holes on the front. The hole are located on the left and right side. Holes will be vertical about 2 inches apart. Hope this helps.
[ JOSHUA  Jan 05, 2014 ]
if you have 2 set of holes on either side of the factory radio then this tool will work. they come in different shapes and designs but the ends and the gauge of tip is what is important. in a pinch if you cut 2 pieces of wire coat hanger and shape them like these it will work in a pinch.
[ Brian S.  Jan 05, 2014 ]
If your stock radio has 2 little holes on each side u will need this tool
[ EDWARD  Jan 04, 2014 ]
I have not. I only used it for an 01 miata. It is possible it will work so give it a try. Good luck!
[ PAUL  Jan 03, 2014 ]
Imgot this tool with my radio install kit, but it was of no use to me it didnot remove my radio, my car is an explorer so I can't really say about your car, but it was useless for mine.
[ JOSE  Jan 03, 2014 ]
Yes ma'am. This is the tool that you need to remove the radio from your Focus. They are very easy to use.
[ MARTIN P  Jan 03, 2014 ]
look on your factory stereo and see if there are four holes in the face of it to insert these tools, if yes im sure they will work. Honestly ive used bend welding rod to take ford stereos out .
