Bought my twins their first car, 2006 Santa FE. The stereo worked fine but wanted blue tooth for phone and navigation so they wouldn'tuse cell phones driving. The installation kit worked like a charm. new stereo looks factory and is better than my wifes MB.

Barrett from Johnson City, NY on 5/7/2018
2006 Hyundai Santa Fe
Cheaply made and cheap price to go with it. Fit wasn't really good. The manufactures literature and the fitment to the vehicle were way off. Made the face plate stick out too far and couldn't snap the console back over it. Had to modify the fit some. Doesn't really look all that good once it's in either. But I guess you get what you pay for on this one
Pros: Filled the gap mostly
Cons: Not real pretty, doesn't fit up real good, cheap

Mostly Awesome

Fits great, but you can ignore the specific instructions for your vehicle model. Just go with trial-and-error on the spacers and it will be fine. Otherwise a great kit.
Pros: Awesome fit and quality
Cons: Questionable instructions

What can I say other than it makes the head unit look like it was a factory install. Metra products are the way to go for the finishing touches.
Pros: Looks good and easy to install.
Cons: Can snap in half if you aren't careful.

Face plate did not fit in the dash
Crutchfield customer from Manassas, VA on 7/11/2016
2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
This trim kit was included in my aftermarket stereo purchase to be installed on a 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe. The faceplate, however, did not fit within the radio space in the dashboard. I used the side mounting pieces to install the stereo, but had to leave out the face plate. The stereo now has a thin gap around its edge where you can see straight into the area behind the dashboard. I'm not happy that this was labeled as compatible with my car's trim.

It worked.
Josh from Rego Park, NY on 5/20/2016
2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
Overall it fit. Had to adjust with using thin spacers instead of the thick ones. Therefore, had to take dash apart again and use thin spacers. Dash would not fit properly with Thick spacers. My fog light button and hazard light button would stay on once pressed due to tight fit with thick spacers.
Pros: It fit fine after spacer adjustment.
Cons: Instructions called for using thick spacers but it worked better with the thin spacers

Product worked great after I figured out how to install it. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars was due to confusing instructions. However, once I figured it out, it was easy and stereo fit into sash perfectly.
Pros: Worked as advertised.
Cons: Instructions were not clear.

Metra 95-7309 in my 2005 Santa Fe for the JVC KW-V200BT
Clever Ian from Florida on 10/18/2015
2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
If I could've I'd have given this product a lower review than "1". Let's get something straight, I'm not downing the actual dashkit because it's just a dash kit and it didn't know any better. I'm downing Crutchfield for sending this out to me because it fits most radios in the first gen Santa Fe's. I'm not car stereo-logistics but I guess the JVC's kW-v200bt dimensions are a bit different than that of the average double din stereo and because of that this dash kit didn't workout for me. Overall this didn't fit and I ended up NOT using anything.
Pros: I learned the hard way but I learned
Cons: Crutchfield sent me the wrong dash kit

Metra 95-7309 Dash Kit
Mike from Virginia on 9/7/2015
2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
The included instructions were wrong for my stereo/vehicle installation. Although they specifically called for using the "thick" spacers with the mount, but in fact the only way my Kenwood radio fit in my 2003 Santa Fe was with NO spacers at all. After struggling for a week, trying to reassemble my dash, I came across the solution while reading an online review. Retrospectively, I'm sure if I'd called a Crutchfield tech, they would have solved my issue immediately.
Pros: Good solution for a modest cost.
Cons: Incorrect instructions.

Works, but...
Richsap from Arkansas on 6/22/2015
2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
While functional and did the job, it was not perfect. The instructions included were incorrect for the model receiver I purchased. If it were not for ingenuity on my part it would not have worked at all.
Pros: Enough variations in hole locations to work with virtually any receiver. Allowance for vertical and depth adjustments
Cons: Needs model-specific instructions or no instructions at all. Included instuctions had me attaching it incorrectly. Better to include a sheet that says "Rots of Ruck" and let your imangination take over. If you have some common sense you can work around this.

95-7313 kit works better for my 2005 santa fe
scott from New York on 5/27/2015

This kit caused my the top of my head unit to bend in. It does not work well with the late model first gen santa fe's. If your having the same problem or notice that this kit causes your head unit to sit recessed, try the 95-7313 kit. it worked well for me, still required modification but not nearly as much as this kit would have.

Great product. Easy to install. The instructions for the spacers were off for my installation in a Hyundai. It called for the thick spacers, but no spacers worked best.
Pros: Easy installation.
Cons: May need to do trial and error with the spacers.

It Works With Some Issues
LKIII from St. Louis on 7/4/2013
2005 Hyundai Santa Fe
I purchased this to install a Pioneer FH-X700BT in a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. The adapters to attach the head unit to the frame fit perfectly. The fascia piece fit around the head unit very well also. The final installation does have the head unit sitting a little more recessed than I would like. The final product is very professional and clean looking. The receiver kit works, but the instructions were not 100% accurate. The kit called for the thick shims included in the kit to be used. They are not necessary for installation in the 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. My dash trim would not install with them in place. I removed the shims and all is now well. The plastic feels sturdy and the head unit does not budge.
Pros: Looks nice Feels sturdy
Cons: Instructions were not 100% accurate Radio is a little too recessed for my taste, but not bad looking.

2003 Santa Fe w/Monsson
Brian from Racine, WI on 6/4/2013
2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
Just like most of the reviews state, "This kit will not work for a 2003 Hyundai SantaFE". The only usuable parts that i found trying to install my Sony XAV-64bt were the side brackets. The front trim was too bulky to fit under the car dash and was useless; However, I have found a solution. The Metra 95-7313 kit is the perfect fit for a 2003 Hyundai SantaFe w/Monsoon System stereo (perhaps the others as well, but not sure on that). Eventhough is not listed by either "Metra or Crutchfield" this kit is perfect match and it looks factory made. You do have to install the kit upside down on the Head Unit before it is installed in the car,(meanig the kit will have the three tabs facing up) but that doesnt matter at all because the trim of the kit is the same all around. Once you screw the stereo to the car, the dash will fall back in place and look like factory. Keep in mind I had the Monsoon system, not sure if it applies to the other Santa fes' with the other stereo options.
Pros: it was free
Cons: Does not match, need a different one for my car

Not Made for a 2002 Santa Fe
HankM from High Point, NC on 2/26/2013
2002 Hyundai Santa Fe
There is no way this kit was made to fit a 2002 Santa Fe. The side brackets work fine (hence two stars), but the front trim is much too large to fit my vehicle's trim panel; even if it did, I don't think the shape on the inside surface was correct. I checked out this kit on Metra's website, and the description specifies 'for Elantras and Sonatas'; no mention that it fits a Santa Fe (although the installation instructions that came with the kit do specify Santa Fe). I ended up trashing the front trim and installing the radio using only the side brackets as described by another reviewer. Like him, I now have a sizable gap around the radio; inserted a piece of black plastic (cannibalized from the front trim) for aesthetics. Doesn't look bad at all.
Pros: None.
Cons: Nothing but; see review

Worked fine.
Vulkrider from Olney on 10/18/2012
It looks like it was made to fit about any 2 din installation. It worked fine and the radio is secure. It seems a little flimsy but with all of the proper mounting done my radio does not budge.
Pros: Versatile for different installations.
Cons: None

Front piece was useless
Crutchfield customer from NJ on 9/23/2010
2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
The only pieces I was able to use from this kit for my 04 Santa Fe were the side brackets. The front frame was too wide and bulky to fit under the stock dash trim. Only way to make it possible fit would be to dremmel a good deal of plastic outta the dash trim. I bought a kit so I wouldn't have to hack! I tossed the useless frame into the garbabge and now I have a nice gaping hole under my double din radio since there is no frame :(

2003 Santa Fe
Bill from Florida on 6/13/2007
I installed a Kenwood DPX-501 in my Hyundai Santa Fe. The only part of this kit that I used were the side mounts and the screws. The front didn't fit at all because of interference with the dash. I used the black bezel that came with the head unit and wound up shaving about an 1/8 inch off the top of it. If you're replacing a factory Monsoon system you may want to plan for more than one afternoon to do all the work required; especially if you're replacing the door speakers.
