Very cheaply made. Flimsy. Ended up using brackets from old stereo instead of the flimsy plastic ones provided
This isn't horrible - it's ok and does the trick. When all done, it looks nice and has a factory look. It is a bit of a pain to assemble as the radio trim doesn't attach to the front panel until it is all bolted together, making it a bit awkward / clumsy while trying to do that.
Pros: Looks good when done
Cons: When installing, it is more complex that just aligning the stereo - you have balance that, the front, the middle trim and the 2 support arms which don't really snap in
I was very pleased with the kit. Everything fit perfect and looks better than the original! Arrived fast and easy to follow instructions.
Pros: Brand new
Cons: My dash is older so I have to clean it enough to bring the life back so it matches even better.
Worked great. I only wish it included a spare bolt or two. I dropped one in the dash and it was not worth pulling the dash apart. They are not easy to replace.
I wish the kit had a little more complete instructions. For a first-timer it took a little trial and error to connect the dash kit to the radio. But I was able to figure it out. Looks good now.
Made installation very easy & professional looking.
2009 Tacoma . Here's the skinny guys ..Throw away the plastic side brackets and use the metal ones from your oem radio. You will use 3 holes ,the top two have a t for toyota. The 4th hole is just off and not used.Next thing , carefully file the hazard warning opening top and bottom to get zero drag on the switch. When you mount the radio with oem brackets it will go in perfectly. Now ,put the lil trim ring over the radio while lining up the snap in tabs on the large cover. Keep lined up while clicking trim piece into dash . Done Could have been better ,but the fact I could use solid steel oem brackets made it nice. For the price paid for this stuff....its a win win.
Pros: Free , gets it done ,close match to OEM
Cons: If the trim ring was incorporated into the large piece it would be perfect .
Looks fine but the mounting brackets are not of good quality and don't align with the dash. Front bezel won't stay attached because the mounting bracket is not correctly alligned. We will be purchasing a different kit to re-install the stereo with a better fit.
perfect fit...da bomb diggity!!!!
After installing about 6 times. Using a heat gun to bend the PLASTIC MOUNTS, some electrical tape, using only three bolts because of twisting and using washers to space the radio correctly it's in. I'm sure I'll have to do it again after it starts to rattle. Not a fan. The faceplate Looks good when installed but needed to keep clock/flasher switch assembly mounting screws 1/8 turn loose from seating so switch would not stick. If this had worked correctly the radio would have been done in 30 min. However, 3 separate days of work, an hour a day, and it's finally acceptable. The real sad part is I'm ordering the steering control for this later on and I'll have to go through some more of this.
dash looks good with this
Nice product and fits nice!
Regardless of how much I tried, I could not get the stereo and radio housing to position exactly where they should within the main trim panel. Because the mounting brackets are plastic, they have too much flex. It took many tries to get it close and it still was not right. I could also feel the stereo move slightly when touching the screen/knob/buttons. I finally decided to try the factory steel mounting brackets, which made the stereo feel very solid. Since the radio housing is designed to snap into the plastic mounting brackets, I had to position the housing over the stereo and install the trim panel over it. This resulted in perfect positioning of the stereo and housing within the opening and a rock solid feel. Could also glue the housing to the back of the trim panel, then install... The kit also caused some interference with the hazard light button. The button rubs on the left side and can get stuck in the "on" position. I was able to tweak the positioning slightly to make it work, but you can still see that it's off a bit. Since this kt is vehicle specific, I would expect tighter tolerances and equal quality/feel of the factory trim. I'm upgrading my stereo, why would I want to downgrade my trim in the process? The trim just doesn't have the same feel and precise/secure fit as the factory trim. Fit and finish is about 98%. Need that extra 2% to be perfect.
Pros: You can get the job done, but may require some adaptation. Pretty close match to factory trim.
Cons: Flex in the mounting brackets. Interferes with hazard light button.
had small defects on finish
Looks good, easy to install.
Expected and more
I installed this in my 2005 Tacoma. The silver bezel looks factory but I cant get the radio bezel on the radio and the big silver bezel in the center of the dash together. The install instructions are not good. Rate the instructions a 1. I can see how it all should look and IF I can get it like that its a 5 star but I have been working on it on and off for a week. The plastic side brackets are flimsy.
Pros: Good concept but dont like the plastic mounting brackets.
Cons: Can get it all in the dash together. The radio mounts fine but is very wiggly, and I cant get the radio bezel on.
Used this unit to install a Pioneer AVH-201ex unit in a 2006 Toyota Tacoma. Product looks OEM now that it is installed. The trim band that gives that final smooth look snaps on 2 tabs on either side of the radio. The face plate wanted to keep popping off. I put 2 very small screws in each side - going through the back edge of the face plate and the tabs.
Pros: Looks really good once it's in. Uses Toyota's factory snap in contact points.
Cons: Might have to do a little finagling to get to unit sit in the dash just right - but it is achievable.
Easy to use. Good fit and the color matches just right. Looks factory.
Pros: The fit and color are perfect. The texture is even the same.
Cons: The brackets in the back are a little flimsy but once it's installed it's fine.
Fit was perfect
Own a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Trd sport and it matched almost perfectly. Fit well
I wish I could say this is an awesome product, ordered two of them... Overall it goes in just like any other dash kit but that's about where the "easy" part ends. Regardless of any sort of adjustment I cannot get a right fit out of this lit, the faceplate surrond that clips to the stereo won't line up with the dash trim, the plastic stereo mounts seem to twist and pull the stereo out of square with the dash so you practically have to find ways to shim the stereo so it will hold square with the dash kit. I went through two of these because the first one showed up broken. Second one at least clipped in properly. I just don't know, Im seriously baffled that both the scoshe and metra kits are so imperfect and that there isn't one other company out there that could do this better.
Pros: Looks clean if you can get it to sit flush, black color is nice
Cons: No amount of adjustment can make this thing fit correctly, one bump and the face plate will pop behind the dash trim piece and then you have to pull everything apart to adjust it again.Crutchfield response on 9/19/2018 Levi, we're sorry you're having issues with your kit. Fit like a glove no problem at all. Thanks to al the help from your staff they made this the easyest install I have done in years . Thanks
Pros: Easy install looks great in my truck.
Fits my 2005 Tacoma, the black color matched the truck well. Fit isn't quite what I want, had to do some adjusting and buy new clips so the top edge wouldn't pop out. Has one less clip then the factory radio which doesn't help. Overall satisfied after some additional work.
Perfect fit on 2007 Tacoma. Looks great!
The appearance isn't too bad but fit ins't good. Top part sticks out noticeably and I had to trim inside the hazard button hole to get the hazard button to work. Pretty much the only plus was the price since I bought it at the same time as my new deck.
Pros: It holds the radio
Cons: poor fit, hazard button sticks
After install in looked like original Bezel (2005 Tachoma)
Good product. The fit and finish could be better. The plastic allows to much movement versus the metal factory brackets.
Pros: Easy to use
Cons: Took lots of tweaking to get the fit right.
Excellent quality and looks better than the original face that came with the truck.
Did not fit. Had to reinstall 8 times and added duct tape before I could get just three of the 4 bolts connected to the frame. My hazard button still sticks. I'm depressing taking it apart again to see if I can unstick it
This dash kit was a perfect fit for my 2008 toyota tacoma. It was a simple install with very solid support for my receiver. Very satisfied with this upgrade.
The ring provided to go around the stereo did not exactly fit my Kenwood DDX575BT, but otherwise this works well for the 2007 Tacoma. Nice finish, matches the existing well.
The kit matches my dash texture / color well. I just wish that the mounting brackets were not plastic and that the top portion of the cover plate was a little more flush with my dash. Other than that, it fits pretty snuggly and and does not wiggle around at all. I am pretty satisfied overall.
Did not fit my truck

Not bad. Would be nice if the end user could have adjustment out away from the dash. Stereo head unit is recessed back into the dash kit, would be nice if it was flush, easier to use stereo controls that way.
Dash piece looks great and fits well with new stereo. Only problem is that the brackets are plastic, which I'm concerned may shift or break in extreme weather or hard (off-road) driving conditions.
Pros: fit color look ease of install
Cons: plastic brackets
not much to say than everything was easy to put together and look great. See picture.
Pros: easy to use
Cons: none so far.
Could have a better fit but looks ok
Although the texture (in my opinion) is nicer than the Scosche version, I believe it is an overall inferior product due to two main factors: 1) The supplied receiver brackets are made of a plastic composite that is too soft, a double DIN will cause slight bending. 2) The cover itself has no apparent method to secure itself to the rest of the dash.
Perfect match! Thanks for the recommendation Crutchfield!
Poor fit. I expect a lot more from metra. I bought this because the texture matched the truck little did I know it would look so bad.
Pros: Correct texture
Cons: does not fit properly
Doesnt fit 100%. Wish I knew this before hand and would have went with the other major brand that makes this dash kit in smooth texture.
Pros: Works and matches texture.
Cons: Doesnt fit 100%
Fits like crap! The stereo moves around inside the cover plate opening in addition to the cover plate not seating in tightly to the dash.
Matches the dash just fine, but doesn't clip in place. Fortunately, it is staying put (for now)
Awesome product. Fit perfectly, installed easily and looks better than factory. I have the stock silver dash but went with the black dash kit. It matches perfectly to the darker dash around the stereo and instrument cluster. I like the look much better than the silver stock look
Pros: looks great easy installation
Cons: plastic mounts for stereo. holds fine, just replacing stock metal mounts with plastic feels wrong
Perfect fit and finish. Matched perfectly with my Tacoma interiors.
This dash kit looks exactly like the factory dash in my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. I have read complaints that it is cheap and flexible plastic. If you are careful when installing your head unit, you will not have any issues. I did use a little hot glue to eliminate any rattles that might happen later and it made me feel it was more secure. I also read that the texture was messed up on the bottom of the front plate. There were 2 spots where the texture had been smudged a little, but once the unit is installed, you can't even see it when you're looking for it. The fit and finish with this install kit looks perfect in my truck. Just take your time and be careful when installing.
Pros: Factory look Good fit Makes install look professional
Cons: The brackets aren't metal, but they work fine once installed.
Great product. Looks factory. Do wish the mounting brackets were metal.
Nearly a perfect replacement for factory stereo dash trim. (2007 tacoma trd off road) Can't say I'm dissatisfied with my purchase.
Pros: Inexpensive Same color (gray) as factory
Cons: Cheap plastic brackets
Used this kit to install a new radio in my 2005 Tacoma. Fit and finish were good - matched the existing dash well. I was a bit skeptical about the plastic radio mounts, but they seem to be OK so far and don't allow any movement. The opening for the radio left a bit of a gap at the top of the radio face that could be seen looking up from below; before I installed the assembly, I put a strip of black plastic electrician's tape over the gap on the inside just to ensure that any light present in the dash would not show through. The result is an invisible and easy fix.
Pros: Good match to factory dash.
Cons: Would have preferred metal radio mounting brackets and a more positive mounting method to the front bezel.
Not a good fit - makes it hard to reach knob on side of receiver
Pretty straightforward. One of the clock screw holes broke just as the screw was starting to thread. Otherwise, pretty straightforward.
Dash kit fit very well and helped tie the new head unit into the dash for a factory look
Used this for install of Sony XAV-AX100 in 2011 Tacoma. Chose this over Scosche because texture matches perfectly with factory. The plastic mounting brackets could be more substantial, but thus far they have held up. Installed easily and looks great. Final facing is a little less secure than factory, but has not popped off or had any problems after 2 weeks. We'll see how it does off road next summer! Highly recommend for double din Tacoma installs.
Pros: Factory look & texture easy install
Cons: Plastic brackets (held up thus far, but metal would be preferable) Not quite as snug as factory (maybe to be expected)
fit in so easy that anyone can install, i mean anyone.
The product itself is a 5. The direction were a 1 or 2. I had to finally go to the Metra site to get clarity on installation. After that, everything went together easily. Product looks great.
All I can say is that this is junk. I wiped it off after installing it and a thin rubberish coating started to peel off and got all over the inside of my vehicle. It made me so mad. I had to take the whole thing out and put my original radio back in. I was so mad that I sent back the whole mess, stereo and all
Fits great, easy to install. Can barely tell its not Factory.
Pros: Looks just like factory
Perfect fit, factory look. With the free step by step instructions from Crutchfield it was supe simple to install my ne unit.
I bought this to match my dash and it looks great. Easy to install never had any issues with it.
Pros: Looks good and matches factory color and feel.
Perfect fit, great look. Can't tell it's not factory.
Pleased as could be - gotta look pretty close to realize it's not a factory part.
Looks great. The fit isnt exact. Its a little loose around the top and requires a little fidgeting with on the hazard lights button
Great fit in the dash of my 2009 Toyota Tacoma. Instructions stated it would be difficult to pry loose the emergency light switch and the clock unit from the original mountings and it was. Still, end result was excellent!
very poor instructions , if you are not comfortable in doing this installation get help, the instructions are very basic and cover multiple products. the kit itself did not work well with my truck and stereo that I purchased. The side of the trim is right up against the volume button so if you got large fingers it will be almost impossible to use the volume button.
Cons: does not work with my truck or stereo
This is a good kit but I had a couple issues. After installing everything unit was off center so I had to loosen mounting screws, center unit in trim plate then tighten screws. Hopefully it stays put. It would be helpful to put that in instructions. Also, the plastic seems kinda cheap but we'll see how it lasts.
Pros: It worked
Cons: Need to center unit before final tightening. Cheapish plastic, hope it holds up.
It works. There's really not much to this product. When ordering it says that the color is gray but in reality it's silver, just like the factory radio faceplate. There are 4 phillip head screws that come with it and they should probably have a smaller size head. They're used for the lower section where the clock and airbag display are.
Pros: It works
Cons: The supplied phillip head screws should have a smaller size head.
While a scosche better than the competition, Metra could use better QC. I had to ask Crutchfield for a replacement because the original unit had scratches and casting issues. Despite getting another (without any hassle - Thanks, Crutchfield) I still had to sand off bits and repaint the entire face to match the Tacoma's interior color. Metra's is the closest to acceptable of the two brands available, but it seems a shame that Metra can't get their Chinese partners to provide better final build quality.
Pros: It fits Styling
Cons: Requires finishing (sanding/painting) Difficult to center/square at install Plastic parts that should be metal
The package was missing bracket F and the clips were too short. The clips did not lock in on the bezel and pulled off after pushing the bezel in. I took the clips from the factory original and they worked fine. I have not contacted Crutchfield yet on either issue. My son fabricated a bracket F from the factory original and it is working OK for now.
Cons:Crutchfield response on 8/21/2017 We're sorry you had problems with your install. Not bad, and it was nice that they threw it in for free with the stereo purchase.
Pros: Looks very nice and appears to be factory installed.
Cons: The directions could have been better on my model as the clock and hazard light removal can be difficult if you haven't done it before. Top portion didn't want to snap all the way down, but I'm the only one that notices it since I did the install. Maybe I should have used the stock metal braces instead. Not taking it out now!
Everything worked as advertised. Finished product looks nice. Plastic brackets that attach to head unit are a bit flimsy and seam like they could break easily if not careful on installation. Otherwise no complaints.
Pros: Fit and finish were exellent.
Cons: Plastic brackets...
Looks great after it's installed. No corners pushing out like some I've seen after a car stereo has been installed, and looks like it doesn't fit . Great match and fit. Thanks a lot guys.
Pros: Doesn't look bad at all. Works just fine for what it is. I'll get another one ,if I had to for my other vehicle.
Cons: No cons from me on this model.
This made the install very easy and maintained the factory look of the dash in my 2005 Tacoma, some reviews complain about the plastic but these head units are not so heavy that it will break.
Pros: Makes install a breeze, looks great.
Great match from factory dash cover. Texture and color are expertly done to match. Fit perfectly around factory components and new double DIN aftermarket radio. Seats perfectly and flush to the dash. A bit brighter in color versus adjacent dash, but hardly noticeable.
Pros: Perfect fit to new aftermarket radio and factory dash Looks like factory equipment Great match on texture and finish to factory
Cons: Finish on the bottom was a bit rough and appears to be the injection molding point. Cannot be seen, but was rougher than expected.
Replaced my 10 year old Alpine double din in my Toyota Tacoma that had the Scosche dash kit. Although the brackets looked a little flimsy, when completed the radio fit very well and more solid than Scosche
Pros: nice fit
Cons: plastic brackets would be more secure if steel
I thought the plastic mounts were not terribly rugged. also the screw adjustment slots did not allow for the plastic frame to be moved forward enough for the frame to fit securely into the over all radio dash frame.
Pros: matches OEM dash style
Cons: Radio plastic mounts not completely adjustable.
Looks better than factory.
Pros: Black looks awesome. Perfect fit. Great comments from whoever sees it.
Maybe it was partly the vehicle and partly this kit, but putting a double din head unit in a 2007 was fairly complicated, compared to same era Subaru's and the previous generation Tacoma. The fit is not the best where the kit meets the bottom of the unit and the hazard flasher button gets hung up when it's put on. I also do not like the plastic mounting brackets that go from the faceplate to the sides of the head unit. They felt a bit flimsy. I would have much preferred a metal part for this as the original dash mounting system has. Not sure that there are any alternatives out there.
Pros: Looks just like the original stereo surround
Cons: Not an exact fit and a bit flimsy
Although everything fit together fine, I wanted to still use my old factory radio metal mounting brackets instead of the plastic universal brackets. The plastic had to be used in order to use the bezel that fit around the JVC KW-R925BTS stereo I purchased. The outside finish of the dash kit matched what I removed from my Toyota dash so thumbs up for that.
Pros: Pieces match the color and look of previous dash
Cons: Cannot use old factory brackets
Looks like factory. You may need to do some sanding for the perfect fit as some head u its are different.
Pros: Looks factory.
Cons: May need to sand to fit
It's great that it comes with the replacement faceplate, in taking the old system out, I broke the original one, plus the original one would not have worked with the new system anyway.
This kit was easy to install and looks like it was factory.
Pros: Looks great and easy to install.
Looks just like factory radio cover clean install looks great!
Not happy with the fact it came with to short of screws for mounting brackets, other than that it's okay
Pros: Matches the factory one
Cons: Screws to short for mounting brackets
This dash kit fit perfectly into my 2005 4 door PreRunner. It blends in nicely and looks factory. The stereo fits snugly and I didn't have issues with the hazard button sticking as others mentioned. Just adjust the tightness of the screws on the back of that assembly.
Gives a nice factory look, just wish the head unit wasn't so recessed. It's kinda hard to use the volume knob on my Kenwood touchscreen due to being recessed making it somewhat hard to use the rotary knob which was a big reason I wanted this model.
Pros: Clean fit, looks factory
Cons: Recessed too much at bottom, plastic side brackets
Worked pretty good. The plastic brackets are a little weird, I would rather have had metal ones like the stock radio came with but they won't transfer over to this faceplate. It works and the faceplate matched my dash perfectly. Getting the hazard light and clock thing out of the factory faceplate was described as "challenging" - they were not kidding. I probably destroyed my factory plate in the process so there was no going back!
This item looks like the original and it seems to be ok, the problem with it is there are clearance issues with the Tacoma and I wish the outer trim ring could be put on after the radio is mounted but it has to be mounted to the head unit and the large backing piece is hard to get everything lined up with out the outer trim popping off and then you have to take everything apart to reattach it.
Cons: Hard to get everything lined up.
Looks great just wish it was metal or a stronger plastic
Absolutely the worst product I've utilized for a stereo install in over 35 years! *Would recommend Crutchfield look for a different supplier for a dash kit for a Toyota Tacoma. The fitment of the exterior dash faceplate was good, being the black one, but it has one less tab to 'secure' it than Toyota's original. The hazard/clock assembly came with a broken tab out of the bag so I couldn't secure it properly and square it up to the dash plate. Probably the Most disappointing part is that the stereo brackets are Flimsy Plastic! Are you kidding me? How does Crutchfield allow such inferior products on his line up? For a DDIN stereo, you Need steel plates, the way Toyota designed it! Absolutely not up to the task. The fitment does Not allow a complete smooth finish, it is off, crooked recessed. After screwing with the securing bolts, it's a loss. The flimsy, soft plastic mounts will simply not permit a smooth and squared finish. For this, I'm incredibly disappointed if not angered at coming to learn this from a first time Crutchfield purchase. In my life, I would have never thought they would provide such a crappy and unresolving product line up. I actually used to do stereo installs in Washington D.C. for over five years so from an experienced POV, this is shameful. I would Not recommend this face kit for a DDIN stereo. I see that some people have attempted to reuse the original steel brackets and somehow glue or attach the faceplate on.
Pros: Color, style looks genuine.
Cons: Flimsy plastic all around makes fitment impossible. Fear plastic parts will not last in Tucson heat! Does not stay secured in the dash (Pops out of dash to easily). Does not hold radio straight in dash. (After an hour of adjusting and removing the radio; still crooked) The stereo adapter will not stay secure in the face place because all of it is easily jarred out of place. It can't handle normal driving and the stereo unit moves easily from what should be a fixed position.
This gives the stereo a factory installed look! A must have
Pros: Gives you a Factory look
Worked like a charm in my 2009 Toyota Tacoma.
Pretty good dash kit. Got because Crutchfield recommended. This matches texture on dash already. I think the other one they have is smooth. Plastic brackets are flimsy as everyone says. So you have to hold and push into right spot as you tighten bolts. I see it sitting out slightly from dash. Not sure anybody else notices.
Pros: Matches textured areas, color match pretty close, decent instructions with it
Cons: Flimsy plastic brackets, fit is not perfect
Solid fit on my 06 Tacoma. Takes a little dexterity to install but nothing to be afraid of. Looks almost factory.
fits like it was from the factory
Easy to install! Had to shave around hazard button, was sticking. Used factory radio mount, wasn't impressed with the plastic one in the kit
Pros: Looks factory, ease of installation.
Cons: Had to shave around the hazard button, radio mount was plastic.
Great kit....looks like stock!! I have a 09 Tacoma and I found that if you want a great fit...leave all four screws loose, then fit the head unit into the kit opening and snap it in the dash, then snug up the four screws. Snap in the a/c controls below and you are done!!
Pros: easy to install beautiful finish
Great fit, good instructions on getting it hooked in. Looks so professional
looks like factory dash panel
Pros: easy to install and looks great!
Perfect fit for 06 Toyota Tacoma and Pioneer AVH-x2800BS
This kit would be so much better if they would supply metal brackets instead of the cheap plastic ones. It was a tight fit for my radio to go in my dash and I kept worrying that I was going to break the plastic brackets when reinstalling it. Now that it is in it looks good.
Pros: Looks factory
Cons: Cheaply made
Dash kit matched up perfectly. It is a little tight where the hazard button is but overall, it is fine.
Cons: Tight where the hazard button is, so the button sticks a little.
Great product. Fit perfectly. Great instructions.
Trim around the opening wouldn't snap into place.
Pros: Replaces stock trim
Cons: Trim around the opening wouldn't snap into place.Crutchfield response on 12/13/2016 Once we saw this review, our Tech Support team reached out to Robert to issue an apology and help him further. We'll either help him get the kit working the way it should, or help him return it for an exchange or refund.
First kit arrived with a broken piece. Crutchfield replaced immediately, no problem. A bit of a fit problem though - the flasher button gets stuck when depressed and it takes some nudging of the dash mount to turn it off.
Matched perfectly in my Tacoma.
Pros: Great color match Looks like it came from the factory
Cons: Edges were rough in some places
Great product. Matches my Tacoma interior perfectly and made install quick and easy.
Fit was good but pictures of this shows bezel around unit to be black but the one in the kit is silver, maybe I could return for a different one, but did not, if I choose to "sparky" would take care of me
Pros: Fit good in my 2009 Tacoma
Cons: Not what the picture showed bezel is silver in the kit I received , black in the advertisement
Good kit, but not 100% turnkey, for a good outcome you need to reuse the metal brackets off the factory radio, and the factory clips, I also used a little double sided 3m foam tape on the sides to take out any rattles, now it looks factory clean and is plenty strong. The face looks factory and is a good match, but again a little fitting and common sense install skills are required. 08' TRD Tacoma and Apline INE-928HD.
Pros: Looks factory, good finish.
Cons: Bad brackets and clips, best results require reuse of factory metal brackets and clips
Wondered about how well a double DIN would look in the Taco. No worries at all. Looks as good as stock with the fit and dropped right in.
Pros: The best part was probably the two piece fitment. Made it easy to put the receiver in solid, then follow up with the trim piece along with the clock/hazard install.
Cons: The clock/hazard install area wasn't as good a fit as the rest. Works, but looks just a little off (probably no one else will notice, but I do).
Would have liked a better quality piece! Visible blemishes
Kit came with everything need in good time, didn't fit that great though
Pros: Shipping time, easy install, packaged well
Cons: Does not fit that great, clips that hold it in popped out on bumps. Had to push it back in every so often
Really not impressed with this product at all. I purchased it to mount my Pioneer AVH-4100NEX and although it does the job, it does it very poorly. The mounting brackets are plastic and very flimsy. The radio bounces around in the dash with any little bump in the road and forget going off-road unless you take your radio out before hand. The clips that come with the dash kit area also low quality and have already worn out after having to remove them a few times to try and fix the mounting issues with the brackets. I am really surprised that this is the only real option for Tacoma owners with the black dash scheme. I am just going to have to look for an alternative option, even if it means customizing something. The current setup just will not work
Pros: Texture of the kit looks nice.
Cons: Mounts are too flimsy to be of any use. Clips are useless so try to keep the OEM ones. Only 2 mounting points with the new brackets vs the 4 that are used with the OEM brackets.
I was a bit let down with this kit. First of all, there were pieces missing (mounting screws and dash clips). Luckily I was able to pick up a pack of screws at a local big hardware store and I pulled the dash clips off my factory panel to make it work. I will say Crutchfield was ready to send me a new kit no questions asked but I already had everything torn apart and didn't want to go that route if at all possible. Secondly, the panel and trim pieces feel flimsy compared to the factory panel. Since they are not as stout, it is hard to get everything snapped into place, the pieces want to flex and try to pop out. I know there aren't many options out there but it just seems this could easily be made more similar to the factory pieces. Overall it works and I am generally happy with it but it could be better.
Overall the kit did well. The side mounting brackets are a little flimsy, but once the unit is back in the truck, it is ok. It was very easy to switch over the OEM clock and flasher unit to the Metra bezel. Actually, it is easier to put that bar into the Metra bezel than take it out of the stock bezel. You get new clips for the Metra bezel and that was nice or you can reuse your old ones. It looks great in the dash. I had the stock gray bezel and switched to the black bezel and it really breaks up all the gray/silver in the middle of the dash.
Pros: Texture on bezel looks great with the OEM materials around it. Easy install and looks great when all done.
Cons: Side mounting brackets are a little flimsy, but once the unit is installed back into the dash, it firms up.
looks good and does the job
Pros: looks, ease of install
It fits okay I guess
Pros: Fits okay
Cons: Doesn't quite fit right
After getting this installed, the stereo moved around in the mount due to the lack of strength of the plastic brackets. The factory stereo that came out used steel brackets. While the new face plate matched my truck's factory interior quite nice, the face plate only had 4 clips to the factory's 5 and do not stay in place should you be driving down a bumpy road. Combine that with the flimsy plastic brackets and you have a very cheap, yet good looking, installation. I called to technical support to see if maybe I had simply gone the cheap route and wanted to buy metal stereo mounts. Nope, only plastic are available.
Pros: Looks good sitting in the driveway.
Cons: -Plastic stereo mounts have no structural integrity. -Face plate has one less mounting clip and will not stay secure. -The stereo adapter will not stay secure in the face place because all of it is easily jarred out of place. -All of this looks good, but it can't handle normal driving and the stereo unit moves easily from what should be a fixed position.
It did the job. Fits perfect. I just hope the plastic support holds up since the OEM it replaced was metal.
Pros: Exact fit
Cons: Plastic support.
Excellent dash kit
Pros: Really nice kit , easy to install
Cons: Only 6 screws of one type & 6 of another, it takes 8 per install
I'm not sure if there is a better bracket out there to replace the factory one, but this one is not high quality. The flasher and clock don't sit quite the same, the pattern on the plastic isn't perfectly even, and it seems a bit flimsy. That said, it did install easily and sits almost perfect. I was worried that it would bounce out of place because the mounts are plastic and the clips didn't feel secure. However, after two hours of off roading everything is still in order.
Pros: No issue with bracket coming out.
Cons: Not the same quality as Toyota.
Pros: Ease of installation
Kit is ok, mounting hole for hazard button, airbag light and stock clock was to small needs to be trimmed for better fur
Just like the factory bezel. It is fragile so be gentle.
Pros: Looks stock and fits perfectly.
Cons: Fragile. I was scared to break
Looks fantastic after install, just like it was factory!!
Pros: Easy install, looks great
easy to install
Pros: fit like factory
Looks nice. Matches dash. Didn't fit perfectly snug along the top though. Not sure if it's the plastic brackets, head unit, or the panel. It's ok though. Nothing too noticeable. If you are OCD about that look, and perfect fit, then not sure if I can recommend it.
Pros: Nice look/finish. Easy install.
Cons: Didn't fit perfectly
Replacement dash piece looks great and would appear to have been the factory option.
Pros: Replacement dash piece looks great and would appear to have been the factory option.
Really nice Dash kit, Comes with everything you need
Pros: Looks awesome Great price Includes all mounting pieces / hardware
Going through the assembly, the product just seemed cheap, the mounts did not include screws that were long enough to use with the Pioneer head unit I installed, had to go collect screws that were 5mm longer to feel like they would stay secure while in my dash. Installation took some time to keep the mounting screws loose so that you can align the unit to your dash and get everything to align. The main dash cover matches the original very well but doesn't look to be flush as the factory cover looked.
Pros: Looks like stock, cost effective.
Cons: screws too short, mounting it all together in the dash took some time and patience.
This is a good looking kit, easy to install, wish the flasher button fit a little better but good fit overall. I recommend this kit for double din units.
Pros: Looks good, feels cheap but looks good.
Cons: Flasher button fits kinda tight.
I like that the mounting bracket resembles the factory Toyota mounts for my Truck. It would be better if the brackets were METAL and not plastic that mount to the side.
Pros: Attaches just about like the factory brackets, It is fairly easy to mount.
Cons: Factory brackets have round holes to bolt to the Dash with , This has Plastic open ended slots that require flat washers over the top.
I got the Metra dash kit with the receiver that i purchased and the install was fairly straight forward. The metra kit has the same surface finish as the stock tacoma receiver, but that's its only good attribute. The silver dash kit is just the black dash kit painted silver. The paint job is sloppy and there is a lot of overspray on the back of the panel (its hidden from view but its poor craftsmanship). The top of the panel only has 2 tabs where the dash clips attach (stock receiver has 3) and the length of the tabs doesnt match the dimension on the clip. The length dimension mismatch causes a loose fit and the loose fit causes the entire panel to vibrate. The buzzing sound created by the poor fit is the reason that i purchased the Scosche kit. The length of the tabs also does not allow the dash kit to sit flush with the dash itself and makes the entire kit look like it doesnt belong.
Pros: Surface finish matches stock receiver. Easy install
Cons: poor quality, attachment points dont match stock, bad fit allows dash kit to vibrate and buzz
Surprisingly good fit and finish. Matches the factory panels inconspicuously.
I had expected to NOT like this, and to have to order the Scosche (spelling?) mounting kit from another source. Reviews online had me expecting a Metra kit that would not be acceptable. The kit I got has the textured silvery finish, and it matches the rest of my textured dash very nicely. Nobody has suspected that it is NOT a factory component. I did think the way the side plates (bolted to the headunit) just loosely "snap" into the mounting frame is a bit cheesey, but so far it is holding the head unit in place.
Pros: - matches textured dash finish MUCH more closely than I expected - fairly simple to install
Cons: - mounting system could be a bit more robust.
Brackets are flimsy plastic at best. Worst part are the clips that can't stay on and fall into the dash. WHY? Who was in charge of making the clips for this unit? Dumb, just dumb.
Pros: Decent look when completed.
Cons: Clips. Flimsy plastic.
OK for the price I paid (free with receiver), acceptable color match, fits dash opening fairly well after some tweaking. Next time I'll buy the Scosche brand adapter.
Cons: Fair color match, ok (but not great) fit. Clock & Flasher Switch fit marginally well in cutout. I guess you get what you pay for
I had no problems with this kit. I bought a double din radio and it fit right in my Tacoma. It is sturdy. I did have to take a razor knife and widen the hazard light opening a little.
Pros: Looks good. Fits nicely. Easy to use.
Cons: It is hard to get the clock out of the Toyota dash. Just be ready to fiddle. I would add that to any install kit for a Tacoma.
Looks great!! Put a touchscreen in my 09 tacoma and this Dash kit looks freaking awesome the other head units I've put into vehicles havnt looked oem but this for sure does!!!!
Pros: Looks great!!!
Cons: Im really anal and need everything perfect on my vehicles and this is really close but it's missing a prong on the top and it clamps done good. But it still leaves a little lip i fixed the problem with superglue and a little fist bump
perfect matched up with the blaupunkt n220 bolt and snap right in good fit no modification
Pros: clean fit
Cons: Stereo mounting brackets are plastic (sort of flimsy). There is a gap around the finishing piece that surrounds the stereo face and the actual stereo face. Overall just feels cheap. Not the quality you would expect from Crutchfield.
For the free with purchase price its a steal. The fit requires a bit of adjustment. Overall its a near perfect match to the factory piece. It likes to rattle after its all settled in after a week. Nothing a person with a little imagination cant fix.
Pros: Great match to factory dash
Cons: Loose fitting parts.
This works fine once up figure it out.
Pros: Works and fits fine in a 2010 tocoma
Cons: Instruction leave a lot to be desired when removing the factory clock and hazard button on a Toyota tocoma. Thankfully there was a video on u tube about this.
Crutchfield really knows how to make sure you get the correct equipment for installation.
Pros: perfect for installing receiver; matched original dash perfectly
Perfect fit that goes in easy. It would be helpful if the instructions clarified which pieces were needed for the job at hand as more are included in the package than will be used. Also, the black color is a shade lighter than the original black in my 2006 Tacoma.
Pros: Fit and ease of installation
Cons: Color not a perfect match (but very close)
Matches my stock kit and has a great tight fit
Pros: Easy installation
It fits like a glove.
Perfect match for my stock kit.
Pros: Matched my dash perfect
I'm mixed on my review of this product. Once installed, it looks great. The panel matches the rest of the interior perfectly as far as I can tell. I do have a couple of issues with it, however. The brackets that screw on to the receiver are flimsy plastic. They really should be metal. It seems sturdy once you get it fully installed, but a few times I was worried about breaking the plastic. My second issue is with the dash panel binding/interfering with the operation of the motorized display of my Pioneer AVH-4000NEX. When I first installed it, the screen would not tilt out the way it's supposed to. When I removed the outside dash panel, it worked fine, so I figured it was binding somewhere, most likely along the top edge, so I planned to trim a bit of plastic along the top of the opening. A week later, the screen is now working without me making any mods to the dash kit. The weather has warmed up here considerably since I installed, so I'm thinking the plastic probably expanded enough to allow the screen to operate as it should. It still seems a bit tight at the top, so I plan to still do some trimming. For these reasons, I'm only giving this product 3 stars.
Pros: Looks great, matches stock interior perfectly
Cons: Brackets are flimsy plastic May interfere with operation of receivers with motorized display
Very nice fit
Pros: Completely replaced old peice and looks like factory would look.
Cons: Had some difficulty dismantling the old peice for clock and hazard display. But nothing relating to the product.
Good job of matching color and texture of exposed parts but that is it. Plastic brackets are as flimsy as any i have seen in 20 years. The kit is designed so the filler panel attaches to the plastic brackets via friction fit. Do NOT use these trash brackets. Use the factory steel brackets and attach the filler panel with adhesive. Shame on Crutchfield for selling this. I have come to expect far better. But using my plan and factory brackets (which are flawless on my AVH-X2600BT) you can have a nice, solid install with factory fit and finish nearly.
Pros: Color/texture matching
Cons: Brackets are worthless to anyone with standards
Came as a kit
Pros: Great price
It works, and it looks decent. Unfortunately the bezel is a little larger than I would have liked, but unlike the pictures it is silver/gray to match. I would have appreciated a more flush fitting look tilting the stereo to be flat on the front like the factory unit. Also the brakets that hold the radio in place are plastic unlike the stock metal ones, so they feel a little flimsy.
Tight fit in my 05 tacoma. Just make sure you get the mounting tabs lined up even when you screw them to the radio. Had to do some adjusting but all and all went pretty quick and is pretty flush with everything.
Pros: Looks almost like stock
Cons: Mounting brackets when you blot it up could give you a lilttle bit more wiggle room to adjust to fit better.
This grey dash kits look great in my Tacoma. The colors match and the fit is correct.
Pros: Color, fit, textured finish.
Matches the truck interior perfectly, but not a snug fit. Leaves a small gap around the head unit, not terrible, but is noticeable
Pros: Matches well with interior
Cons: Not a snug fit
This feature looks like the OEM front cover. Great!!!
Used on 2010 Toyota Tacoma and made the new system look like it came from the factory.
Pros: Looks like Toyota installed it.
Pros: Looks good. Not hard to use
Cons: It's not 100% flush. It didn't have screws that fit the deck
This dash kit has a textured silver finish that matches the surface of the AC control panel just below it. It fits well and looks great.
Pros: Great fit and finish
The dash kit for my 2005 Tacoma has a poor fit. I should not expect much for a free kit with the purchase, but I have had much better luck with items delivered from Crutchfield in the past. The dash cover does not snap in tight and the head unit is set back in just a little too far. I am going to have to alter this unit completely for a good fit. At the moment it is in, but only ok.
Pros: Looks nice, much like the factory in finish and design.
Cons: Poor fit. must be altered for a good clean fit and finish.
Metra is the way to go for kits.
The metra fit is supposed to be superb.... The instructions show 4 screws on both sides to hold radio to bracket. However! They only supplied 6, 2 less than needed... Also, the radio is misaligned and keeps slipping down and to the side and the bracket will keep rattling. My advice is, make the pictures larger so people can see where the screws are to go.
Matched my factory dash perfectly. Was easy to install
Pros: Easy to install and matches perfectly
Easy to install. Same color as dash.
Pros: Same color as dash. Easy to install
Matches dash well. Needed to use some factory retaining clips as the ones provided would not stay on this item. A little loose fit (gap) at the top of the dash, but nothing to bad. Would not allow me to reuse factory metal deck mounts and had to use the supplies plastic ones.
Pros: Matches dash well.
Cons: Needed to use some factory retaining clips as the ones provided would not stay on this item. A little loose fit (gap) at the top of the dash, but nothing to bad. Would not allow me to reuse factory metal deck mounts and had to use the supplies plastic ones.
Fit was not perfect. Edges just dont sit the way an oem dash would. Not terrible, i just notice little stuff like that.
Cons: Fit not perfect
Looks like original Adapter plate makes it hard to control volume.
Got it for free!!! It works. Its not as clean of a fit as the factory.
Pros: Easy to use and it fits ok....matches the stock bracket pretty good in appearance.
Cons: Fit is ok, but not factory.
Below standard kit. Pattern matches dash well but silver is too bright, therefore the color does not match. Installed Kenwood DDX-7701HD and it sits crooked inside the kit. Also, the Hazard Light Switch does not fit into place well and if the cover pops out (which it does when driving over speed bumps) when you push it back into place the Hazard Lights come on. Had to use the factory retainer clips because the clips provided in kit would not hold it into place. Would recommend Crutchfield look for a different supplier for a dash kit for a Toyota Tacoma.
Pros: Exact Dash Pattern Texture
Cons: Does not stay secured in the dash (Pops out of dash to easily). Does not hold radio straight in dash. (After an hour of adjusting and removing the radio; still crooked) Does not Hold Hazard Switch into place correctly.
This was a really easy switch and it looks so good
Pros: simple and easy
Great fit - looks like factory!!
Pros: Looks like factory when competed!! Overall - very nice product and highly recommend when going to double din radio.
Cons: Plastic installation brackets instead of factory metal ones.
The product does what it is supposed to do, and the color and finish is an exact match to the dash. My wife says it looks great. I disagree. The bracket that goes around the radio is loose, and does not fit flush to the trim. 80% of the people who buy this will be happy with it, I am a perfectionist, and am not happy with it. However, being it is the only option for my truck, I have no other choice.
The exterior looks good but as to security this is a cheap version. Factory brackets are metal and this comes with plastic. If a thief wanted to steal this it would be easy to rip the head unit out with ones hands I suppose for free you get what you get...
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Cheap plastic
Installed a Pioneer FH-X700BT last week in my 06 Tacoma and they sent this as the install kit. The color is pretty close to the stock interior and it sits nice and flush with the rest of the dashboard. Used the clips from the stock mount as the ones supplied didn't seem to grab as tight allowing it to not sit as flush with the dash. Would have been a real easy install if everything lined up right but after trying many different options I still was not able to get the bottom bolts in that hold the bracket to the dash. It seems like it needs to down and back 3/4" to be able to not put stress on the right side of the receiver because it pops out from the hold down bracket allowing the receiver to almost fall out. Going to mess with a bit more this weekend when I install the rear access door speakers since the Tacoma dash is so easy to take apart again. I don't know if its the receiver or this mount but I will try again to get to fit a bit better but it works fine for now.
Pros: Color and look match pretty good and it looks almost stock Hazard, Clock and Passenger Airbag unit fit in great without any issues Comes with Crutchfield purchase and better than the other options out there for looks
Cons: See review for installing trouble Feels cheap
Worked extremely dell and fit perfectly.
The equipment looks very good. It matches the overall factory scheme of the vehicle, and the bumped texture really adds a nice finishing touch. My only con with this piece is that, even with proper installation, it rattles slightly at times. It's almost as if the kit doesn't fit into the sockets fully making it feel a bit insecure. I don't think that it would come off with regular use, but it didn't "snap" in as tightly as I would've liked.
Pros: Nice looking, factory themed, easy install
Cons: Slightly odd sizing makes the faceplate feel a bit insecure.
Fits perfectly in the dash but the color is off
Pros: - Great fit - Hole sizes are perfect - Includes factory replacement clips
Cons: - The color is off. The factory dash is grey and this part is more silver
I have been using Metra dash kits for some time now and have been pleased with them. This is my third one I have gotten with my purchase. I own a 2005 tacoma and was able to use my old Metra kit which held my JVC single din for 9 years. The only thing that I used from the new kit were the round headed screws, plastic brackets and the trim to fill in the gap around my radio. I was able to do this because it the same specs and style from my kit from 9yrs ago. I didn't not have to use factory yellow plastic clips because the white ones fitted snugly and my plastic brackets did not break when I tightened my screws down. The textured surface was a close match to my dashboard . For those who complained about this, please remember that your interior has faded some since you owned your vehicle and your kit color will be off. Imagine having your car for a couple years and painting a small spot with fresh paint ? That fresh spot will stick out unless you spray the entire car over. In time, it will match you existing interior and no one will notice. My radio is solidly in with no squeaks, rattles or gaps .
Pros: Perfect fit ... at least for MY vehicle. Nice clean look as though a professional did it.
Cons: None to say. Just use the round headed screws when securing brackets to the radio. They seem a little longer compared to the flat headed ones and don't seem to crack the bracket s like others have complained about.
Perfect fit and match to my dash. Can't believe how well the texture and color match, look like a factory piece.
Pros: Fit, color, texture
It looks just like factory plastic, but the brackets are too cheap and the plastic itself wasnt flush it was made sort of twisted. was difficult to make fit.
this was put in my 2008 Tacoma and it fit perfectly. Easy installation
Pros: fits the way it should
Fit perfectly in my Toyota Tacoma
Pros: Matches the factory dashboard
Not bad I wish it was available without texture but I realize the OEM piece has texture I just prefer without also the hazard button doesn't fit as well as the scosche kit but I think this is still probably the best one out there currently and if you are buying this one this is the place to do it
Pros: Appears well made
Cons: Hazard cut out could fit better
Fit really well, looks almost factory
Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Clips seemed kind of cheap, I used the clips from the factory kit
Fit great and look like factory
I bought this product to mount a Pioneer AVH 4200 in my Tacoma. When I first looked at the parts and especially when I put them on the radio I didn't like the plastic mounts. The ones on the stock radio were metal and I thought these were going to be flimsy. It turned out they were still very solid once mounted. It was easier to set this up with the new radio than removing the parts from the old faceplate.
Pros: Perfect fit and factory look.
Upgraded my '05 Tacoma. Wanted Blue Tooth, USB, and a way to have XM. The staff's help was awesome. Took me just a few hours to replace my factory CD/am fm unit with a Pioneer. Rockin'
Pros: Price, Look, Fit, Compatabilty
Cons: Only had a few issues with the directions, but the tech staff cleared it right up.
Fit like a glove. Looks like the radio came from the factory. I am completely satisfied with how it looks.
Pros: Matched the dash perfectly.
Perfect fit, looks like original install great job!
Pros: Fit great, looks like it was made by Toyota. Good instructions.
Cons: I don't have any!
Easy to install and looks almost factory.
Pros: Easy to install.
Cons: Clips to hold the unit in place seem a bit cheap. I used the ones from the original radio
Snapped right in... Looks OEM!
Pros: No modifications needed, it went right in. It looks like it came straight from the factory.
Did not like the color or fitment at all. The silver color was at least 5 shades off. Every time I would tighten mount bolts, the bezel would pop loose. Finally got it to stay, but while driving hit small bump, it pop out again. I know it was free with purchase, I would rather pay for a better quality dash kit.
Pros: It was free with purchase!
Cons: Color shade is way off. Bezel keeps popping off
Great product. Looks factory. Fit was perfect. Installation was easy. Arrived to my home very quick.
Pros: Price. Fit. Factory look.
Looks like it was installed at the factory!!!! High quality and a perfect fit!
Works great & looks great. Only issue is mounting the hazard button and clock. No guide so you Need to make sure you align straight or the hazard button will get caught. I had to deduct one star for that. But I would still recommend this product.
Pros: Looks great & works great
Cons: No alignment guide when mounting hazard button and clock.
It was included with the radio!
Pros: It fits
Faceplate looks fine, however, the supplied brackets were incredibly thin flimsy plastic, barely strong enough to survive pushing the unit back into the dash, let alone support it for off roading. Was able to use the metal brackets off the factory unit with minor modification.
Pros: Fits well.
Cons: Inadequate brackets
Would not recommend for the pioneer avh-p8400 or similar.
Pros: Looks like OEM equipment.
Cons: Just doesn't work with AVH-P8400 Head unit.
Looks like factory - Crutchfield is awesome!!
After some modifications, the kit worked okay. It is a much looser fit than the factory, or even my previous kit. The kit does not have the top center pin which would allow it to be more secure and snug
This is my second in-dash receiver kit from Crutchfield, and these things just keep getting better and better. Installation was simple and quick, and the tutorial was exactly as I needed it to be.
Pros: Quick, Easy, Perfect Fit
Cons: Have to do the work yourself.
Great dash kit. Easy to install in my 2006 Tacoma
Looks like a replacement piece to me. My kit came in incomplete, but Crutchfield's customer service was awesome, and resolved the issue
Pros: looks just OK
Cons: Looks like a replacement part, fits just OK, the section that houses the clock and emergency flasher button looks cheap
Overall ok trim kit, instructions very confusing took some trial and error to get it together.
Pros: Really matches my interior on my truck, looks great
Cons: Instructions very confusing, very unclear
Very happy with the in dash receiver kit from crutchfield for my toyota tacoma, good match to the original textured look and fit.
Pros: looks like the factory one
It was easy to instal. Use the clips you already have and super glue the small piece you screw to the main faceplate to keep it from rattling. Don't remove it after install. One of my screws would not go back in and it rattles pretty bad now. Very good product you get for free with the radio.
Pros: fit perfect, matched colors of my interior
Pros: Perfect Fit, Matches interior, Easy install.
Cons: none so far
Exact fit with easy instruction
The radio went in simply, but this dash kit wasn't quite as nice. Had to take it off to make a change in Bluetooth wire location. The little plastic tabs that held the top of the faceplate in place popped off and fell into the unknown depths of the dash. Used the ones on the original as replacements, but the top would never stay fully in place again. It does now, but I had to make little shims out of wood to drive in the gaps on the side of the faceplate. They don't look bad, but I'd prefer not to have to do something like that. So, be warned, you may have problems if you have to take the plate off for a reason. Supergluing the little tabs onto the faceplate before installing might be a good idea.
Great product that fit perfectly with my new 2DIN radio. Matched the original dash to a T. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their old Tacoma factory radio to a new DVD style MP3 bluetooth radio. Also, the best price I found anywhere, competition was almost double what Crutchfield is charging!
Pros: Fits great, looks great, gets the job done!
Cons: A little tough to install on your own, just be careful and take your time so nothing breaks.
Was surprised how much to kit looks like the OEM dash. The new kit is tight and aligned to achieve an OEM look.
Pros: OEM look and feel. Tight fit with no squeaks or rattles.
Cons: Kit is made of plastic with some give but be careful not to break.
This kit was easy to install, instructions were perfect and it looks exactly like the factory piece I took out. Perfect match!
Pros: Exact factory match, easy install, great step-by-step instructions
Perfect fit, easy installation,

This kit will fit that receiver! This kit works with double din radios and that Pioneer is a double din radio. I'd recommend contacting an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 to see if your vehicle will take this kit and provide enough room for your Pioneer to fit into the dash My Bio: https://www.crutchfield.com/bio/Paul [ Paul Dec 04, 2018 ] Staff
The Kenwood DDX392 would work with the Metra 95-8214T dash kit. However to ensure the dash kit and head unit will work in your specific vehicle, you can check out our Outfit My Car tool: http://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx You can also contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat to discuss further. Hope that helps! [ Larry Feb 14, 2018 ] Staff
if its a double din unit it should but I installed a Pioneer head unit is I can't really answer. However the install experts at Crutchfield should have the answer. The kit fits my vehicle real well. [ David Feb 14, 2018 ]
This is double DIN kit, so it will be roughly 7" x 4". The receivers that will fit will depend largely on your vehicle. For details on installation please contact an Advisor by phone or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on what receivers will fit. [ Jeff Dec 26, 2013 ] Staff
It's flush at the top and recessed a bit at the bottom to reduce the angle of the head unit. I don't think it looks odd. I don't recall if there was an adjustment that would have made it flush. [ Matthew Nov 23, 2018 ]
It will be recessed only slightly by how the the beze is formedl. It fits very nearly flush. I did not find it an issue whatsoever. [ Walt Nov 22, 2018 ]
It will sit the same as the existing one you have in right now. The kit is made to mimic the same look as the stock one you have in your vehicle. [ KEITH Nov 21, 2018 ]
Thanks for your question. Yes it will. It is made for the double din size receiver, installing in 2005-2011 Toyota Tacomas.
