By using the Metra 95-9307B Das Kit, did you still have to modify the air ducts located at the back of the space intended for the head unit?

I did not have to do any modification to the dash to get this right fit. The central vent works as it always did.
[ Christopher  Oct 28, 2016 ]
I used it in a 2001 530i and did not have to modify the air ducts. Could be that earlier model years need some modification. It might also depend of the depth of the head unit used.
[ Brenda  Oct 18, 2016 ]
Yes, you will have to.
[ JAKE  Oct 17, 2016 ]
No you don't. But I will have to say that it tilts the screen level instead of back so it makes seeing the screen sometimes difficult. But no modifications needed.

No not at all

No, my car was already designed for a double,
