Much like the Ford removal tool, this is a must when installing a stereo. There is no way to reuse the factory plate and because Ford decided it would be a good idea to make one plate for the AC/Heat controls and the radio, this is a no brainer. I would never order a new in dash stereo and not get the wiring kit and dash plate. [ Brent  Nov 29, 2017 ]

Q
Why run a 15ft antenna cable to rear of car? I've never replaced a head unit that did not simply have antenna plug into head unit (or wiring harness.
[ Blood  Sep 13, 2016 ]

A
I thought the same thing. There is some sort of computer, brain in the back left where the antenna sticks out. It was very labor intensive but looks really good when done correctly.
[ Darrel R.  Sep 13, 2016 ]
Q
Will my rear defrost button hook up correctly?
[ Rich  Feb 22, 2015 ]

A
You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.
