Q
Have a 2012 Galant with Navigation screen above the stereo. If I replace the factory stereo, will the nav screen still work?
[ Brad  Jun 10, 2019 ]

A
You need to re wire the factory radio to either under the passenger seat or the trunk. The trunk being the cleanest but harder as you need more wire. The stock radio powers the Navi the only way to keep it on is to keep power to it and keep what ever wires going to the navi connected. You must extend the wires by 10 feet or so to reach the trunk. The job is annoying I have done it before you must extend the stock radio then wire in new harness for the aftermarket unit, but it is worth it for the double screen action.
