Dash kit for XG350

I bought this dash kit for a 2004 Hyundai XG-350 and planned to modify it to fit a double DIN receiver. There is no other dash kit for my car even though a double DIN receiver easily fits in the space available. I gave this 4 stars because it still needed some modification on the perimeter so the upper dash console would fit.

The instructions included were a little confusing but once deciphered the radio went in smooth using the option without the metal bracket.

Fits well, sticks out 1-2mm further than climate control panel though. Easily fixable with small washers to push lower panel forward.

Some problems but it worked

It worked but there are issues when installing the Soundstream VRN-74HB. The side brackets barely allow the screen to open even when adjusted to project the VRN-73HB as far forward as possible. The hole in the Bezel is not wide enough to accept the VRN-73HB. I had to mill both side to get the width necessary for it to fit. When installed it caused a light interference with the opening screen so I left it off. Still looks O.K. I little more modification to the side brackets would eliminate all the problems but I was tired of putting it in and out.

Easy to install with the included docs. The extra brackets that it came with confused me at first, but once I figured out I didn't need them in my particular vehicle, it was smooth sailing

Surprisingly perfect!

I had little doubt this product would serve its purpose but was amazed how well it fit my car and supported the system. It felt light and maybe even cheap at first but was much stronger than I expected. The end result was a perfect fit with a polished factory look. Very pleased!

Must have for the XG350

Most receivers are half the size of what you are yanking out. What is your time worth? It is a perfect fit to the car and the receiver I bought.
