Overall fits almost perfectly in my 1999 TL. Had to make 2 mods to make it fit precisely. First I had to trim the bottom lip slightly to get it to set correctly against the ashtray. Secondly the speed tabs do not fit inside the bracket like they should. A couple screws and nuts fixed that easily. It looks great in the dash and fit the receiver as it should. Good product.
Pros: Easy to use and install
Cons: Depending on the vehicle it may require a few minor modifications.

Works well and does the job. Installing it was a little difficult and how to install it in to my specific vehicle was difficult because the instructions were not very clear. If it wasn't for a few youtube videos, it would have taken me a lot long figuring out how to take apart my car

Looks great(01 TL)
LiamD from Ohio on 11/22/2015
2001 Acura 3.2TL
It sits flush in the dash and looks great. The only problem I had with it was the speed clips, they're too big to fit in the CD holder and I had to cut them up to get them to work. Other than that it works great.
Pros: -Looks great
Cons: -Difficult to get CD holder attached

Almost perfect
WP from Georgia on 10/22/2015
1999 Acura 3.2TL
Installed this on a 1999 Acura TL, and it was almost perfect. The only problem was the quick clips. The clips themselves are too big for the vehicle. You either have to alter the clips, or (like I did) break the screw holes off of the car's stock unit and use those with the original screws to keep the dash kit attached. Either way, once everything is situated it looks professional and actually matched the color of my car's interior.
Pros: Looks good and fits the overall dash nicely.
Cons: Quick clips didn't fit my car correctly.

Overall "good enough"
Bret from Irvine, CA on 7/30/2012
2003 Acura 3.2TL
The finish on the adapter has much more texture than the stock dash trim, so a little bit of "wet sanding" will get it closer to the smooth stock finish on my '03 Acura TL. Also couldn't figure out how to make the "quick clips" work as illustrated, to attach the slide-out drink holder, as they seem too large to fit in the space. Maybe that was just me, but I did figure out a way to make them work, just not as the instructions showed. My first attempt I used the DIN sleeve to mount the radio in this adapter, but that made the radio sit way back in the dash, and I had trouble pushing a particular button on the lower edge of the unit because of this. I changed and used the ISO brackets provided instead of the sleeve, and the radio now sits out farther at a perfect depth. With this depth, you cannot use the provided trim ring, which is fine - the head unit's trim was sufficient.
Pros: Provided a good solid fit for my new head unit.
Cons: Finish doesn't exactly match factory, needed sanding to rub away texture.

A little bit flimsy, although the fit was good. One of the tabs was already almost snapped off when it arrived and had to be glued.
Pros: good fit
Cons: not sturdy.

Perfect Fit

This was NOT an easy install. I needed to take apart almost the entire center console. But it would not have been possible without the instructions. Great Job Crutchfield! Once complete it looks great ...except that I have the wood trim all over the dash and the finish on the plastic is not quite the same as the factory finish. I wish they had an option to buy wood trim pieces to cover the plastics.

Factory Fit and (almost) Finish
Christopher from Arlington, TX on 8/9/2006
1999 Acura 3.2TL
Since the TL has a very distinctive radio shape (angled on one side, flat on the other), this kit was essential for a good-looking install. Product was a good fit for the factory space and the final install looks nearly perfect. I took away one star (would've only taken 1/2 if possible) because the finish on the plastic is not quite the same as the factory finish (close enough, but no spot on). I'll also give kudos here to the Crutchfield installation guide. It gave very detailed and specific removal/replacement instructions for my car.
