2007 Audi A3
Was a tight fit in my 2007 A3 with Audi Symphony but gave a sleek, factory appearance after the installation was complete. This one uses screws to secure the caddy to the car while the other one from Scosche just slid in with no attachment to the vehicle. If you're trying to retain factory steering wheel controls, go for the Crux SWRAD-55 which will retain the rotary controls for this car (although it says it does not )

Looks good, but doesn't quite fit all the way into the dash.

The trim piece looks great and matches my A3's trim well, but it doesn't quite press into the dash all the way. Easy to screw into the new head unit though.

Did not fit my Audi A3 very well. Stuck out 1/4 of an inch and wouldn't snap into place. Definitely looking for something else.

Didn't fit.

This didn't fit the car's opening. I could force it by pushing really hard and somewhat bending the plastic in the cavity but I could only get it halfway. I was afraid of damaging the head unit, I was pushing so hard. The idea was good, where the side pieces attach to some bolting points. But there is just not space for them. I briefly considered sanding them (or part of the cavity) down but finally I decided to just mount the radio on the metal cage that comes with it, which fit perfectly in the cavity. I just press-fit the trim piece and it has held up so far. The trim piece didn't allow me to use the head unit's own trim and that means there is a gap between the stereo's naked bezel and the trim piece. It doesn't bother me that much but it's not a pro, polished look.
Pros: Seems sturdy enough.
Cons: The mounting brackets on the sides make the assembly too wide and it doesn't fit the car's double din cavity.

fits "ok". inconsistent gaps around the edges but only the most picky will notice. good match of the factory finish. the adjustments to get it flush though are hard. you have to continually pull the unit out, unscrew, screw, check fit, rinse and repeat. with practice i'm sure it's easy, but most of us are doing this for the first time.
