Metra's AXGMLN-09 wiring interface lets you replace the factory radio in select OnStar-equipped 2014-up GM vehicles using the existing wiring and connectors. Even if you don't subscribe to OnStar, you'll need this interface to connect an aftermarket stereo.
Keep your GM factory features
Connect the AXGMLN-09 to your aftermarket radio, mount the module, and plug it into the existing factory plug. You'll enjoy your new stereo while keeping all of the important safety features intact. You can adjust volume settings for OnStar as well as the safety chimes, and you'll retain the use of your vehicle's factory backup camera, Bluetooth system, and auxiliary input. This interface gives you convenient plug-in connections for the Axxess steering wheel control adapter (sold separately) that works with most aftermarket stereos — that means less wiring work for you.
This interface is compatible with select 2014-up General Motors vehicles without amplified systems, or with vehicles where you plan on bypassing the factory amp. Retention of the factory amp requires the AXM50-GM1 amplifier retention interface (sold separately). Non-Amplified & Amplified Applications: The AXGMLN-09 radio replacement interface can be utilized in non-amplified factory audio systems or when replacing the factory amplified system. By itself, the AXGMLN-09 does not allow you to retain the factory amplified system. However, in conjunction with the Axxess Integrate AXGMLN-09 amplifier retention adapter (sold separately), you can retain your vehicle's factory installed Bose amplifier.
Retained Factory Features: The Axxess Integrate AXGMLN-09 retains important factory features and functions such as OnStar & Bluetooth communication, backup camera, Aux input, RAP (Retained Accessory Power), and warning chimes.
- OnStar & Bluetooth Communication: The AXGMLN-09 is designed to retain the factory OnStar emergency services system, along with Bluetooth, that would normally be lost when your factory radio is replaced by an aftermarket head unit.
- Backup Camera:
- Backup Camera: The factory backup camera will be retained when installing a compatible aftermarket receiver with a composite video camera input and display screen.
- Aux Input: The factory Aux input is retained when installing a compatible aftermarket head unit with a rear-panel analog audio input (a stereo RCA to minijack adapter may be required and sold separately).
- RAP (Retained Accessory Power): The AXGMLN-09 radio replacement interface is compatible with your vehicle's RAP (Retained Accessory Power) feature, which keeps the radio on until on of the doors is opened.
- Warning Chimes: The Axxess Integrate AXGMLN-09 will retain all of your vehicle's factory warning chimes with adjustable volume.
Optional Steering Wheel Controls: The AXGMLN-09 radio replacement interface lets you retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls when used in conjunction with the Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel control adapter (sold separately) and a compatible steering wheel control ready aftermarket head unit.
Outputs: The Axxess Integrate AXGMLN-09 provides a 12V/10A accessory output and navigation outputs to make installation easier and less time consuming.
- 12V/10A Accessory Output: Since there is no 12V accessory wire in the vehicle's factory harness, the AXGMLN-09 is designed to provide a 12V/10A switched accessory output to your new aftermarket stereo, preventing you from having to run an accessory wire to the fuse box or underneath the steering column.
- Navigation Outputs: The AXGMLN-09 provides navigation outputs (VSS, Parking Brake, and Reverse) to help ease the installation process of an aftermarket navigation stereo.
