In newer cars getting behind the dash is not an easy task, Cable ties help keep your install clean behind the scenes and prevent unwanted snagging and/or wires coming apart causing you to have to re-enter your dash. Additionally, they help me group my different types of wires (speaker, power, RCA, GPS, microphone, etc) separate from each other making it easier to get to in bundles rather than them being everywhere behind the dash.
