About the Metra ethereal CS-DAC
Got a stereo audio source with digital outputs that you want to connect to a receiver or amp that only has analog inputs? Metra's CS-DAC can help you out of that jam. It supports both optical digital and coaxial digital sources. Use it to connect your CD player, network streaming device, TV, or just about any other digital audio source. Its small size and simple set up make for an easy installation.
A cool application with Sonos
"I installed this little DAC between my TV and my Sonos system — a pair of PLAY:5s and SUB that I've got in my main viewing room. It means I can use that 2.1-channel Sonos system for a big improvement in TV sound, as well as for music.
The PLAY:5s only have an analog input, so this converter was just what I needed. Now I can call up a YouTube concert on my TV's built-in smart app, and send that music all around the house to different Sonos players."

More details on the Metra ethereal CS-DAC
Digital-to-Analog Audio Converter: The Metra CS-DAC Digital-to-Analog Audio Converter is designed for either home or professional audio sources. It converts Coaxial/Toslink PCM digital audio signals to analog L/R audio for connection to an external device such as an amplifier via standard RCA-style jacks. The CS-DAC is small in size and easy to install.
Optical & Coaxial Digital Inputs: The Metra CS-DAC is fitted with one Optical (Toslink) digital input and one Coaxial (RCA) digital input. Both digital inputs support 24-bit S/PDIF 2ch PCM audio with sampling rates at 32, 44.1, 48, or 96kHz. This unit does not support Dolby Digital or DTS.
Note: If you try connecting both the Optical and Coaxial digital inputs, the CS-DAC will give priority to the Optical input.
Stereo Analog Outputs: The Metra CS-DAC features an analog stereo RCA output. It converts the Coaxial & Optical PCM digital audio input signal to analog L/R audio and outputs the signal through the stereo RCA output jacks.
Power Requirements: The Metra CS-DAC operates off of standard household current using the included AC power adapter (100-240V).
