Mix and match your cameras
Compatibility with both IP/network and standard analog cameras makes this Spyclops hybrid DVR a versatile solution for your home or small business security needs. It comes with a 1TB hard drive pre-installed, but will support up to 4TB of total storage if you need more space as you grow your system. Footage can be viewed on an external monitor (not included) or with the free Spyclops mobile app.
"Hybrid" — how does that work?
This four-channel DVR can record 1080p video for up to four cameras. And because it's a "hybrid DVR," the cameras can be either analog or IP, or a mix of the two.
Standard analog cameras connect to the DVR using coaxial cables with BNC connectors. Each camera can be powered with its own plug-in power supply, or you can wire multiple cameras into a multi-camera power source.
"IP" cameras, on the other hand, use a PoE (Power over Ethernet) connection to power each camera. The same connection also passes the camera's video signals back to the recorder. IP cameras connect to this DVR and your router via an Ethernet switch.
