Ethereal HDM-AIO2
Crutchfield customer from ASHBURN, VA on 6/29/2020
I've have owned the Metra Ethereal HDM-AIO2 for almost a month now and it has performed as expected. Just after Christmas 2019, I purchased the Marantz SR-5014 receiver from a local audio shop. When I was hooking up the new receiver, I had to reset the system in order for it to display an image on my tv. I didn't think much about it, but the need to perform a hard reset did not go away. It would occur when switching from one input to another. I finally reached out to Marantz and they told me the issue was most likely an Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) negotiation issue. Marantz claimed the issue was not caused by their AVR, but by the TV. They suggested two other higher priced products, but I was fortunate to find Metra's Etheral HDM-AI02 on Crutchfield's site. I watched videos about the product on YouTube and decided to purchase it from Crutchfield based on their superior return policy. I'm happy I did, because this product was extremely easy to install and immediately resolved my EDID issue.
Pros: Easy to install
