Q
Will these fit an Alpine MRP-500 amp for the ground + power wires, I have 4 gauge wire currently installed?
[ Kaiser  Oct 31, 2018 ]
1 answer
A
These should fit your 4 ga. wires and the terminals on the amp as well. I use these terminals for 4. ga wire and they fit the terminals on my Pioneer amp perfectly. Luckily, Crutchfield has amazing service and will likely refund you should they not fit.
[ Alex  Nov 05, 2018 ]
Q
Will these go in to a speaker output on a amp that has narrow screw down connectors? It's a kicker 1200.1 if that helps.
[ Rick  Mar 22, 2018 ]
1 answer
A
Connectors like these can work as long as the opening in the port on the amp is at least 0.638" wide or wider. But I should mention these may not hold the speaker wire as they are designed to work with wire as big as 4 gauge. We have connectors better suited for speaker wire gauges. I recommend contacting an advisor on 1-800-324-9695 for a personal recommendation My Bio: http://www.crutchfield.com/Support/Bio.aspx?bio=101

[ Ogaz Enterprise  Jan 31, 2018 ]
Q
Do the barrels become electrified? My terminal posts are very close together. I worry the metal would easily touch the other connector and short out.

[ Troy  Jul 09, 2016 ]
Q
Are the terminal holes the right size to fit onto the car battery? Also, does it come with any plastic tubing (once it's connected to the wire) to seal over the connection?
[ Nick  Aug 20, 2014 ]
8 answers
A
The holes are only about 3/8". I used them to connect to a distribution block. I can't remember if it came with a plastic sleeve, I think it did
[ KEN  Aug 23, 2014 ]
A
Yes I have one on my terminal fits no problem
[ KERTTON  Aug 23, 2014 ]
A
Hi Nick, The holes do not fit on the actual battery terminal but they do fit the screws that tighten down the battery cables. That's where I put them.
[ MICHAEL  Aug 22, 2014 ]
A
Yes to both of your questions.
[ JAJA  Aug 22, 2014 ]
A
No plastic tubing . Terminal holes fit over standard 3/8" screw studs but NOT over the large smooth studs on a car battery.
[ THUY Q  Aug 22, 2014 ]

Hi Federico, thanks for your question! The T-Spec Set Screw Ring Terminals would work out great for your power/ground wires! These terminals will give you a sturdy connection, so you won't need to worry about any frayed or loose wiring.

Q
Hi I have a Power Acoustik Caliber Class D 8000w Amplifier. Will this product fit my power and ground terminals?
[ Robert  Mar 16, 2019 ]
2 answers
A
You will have to grind down the front and terminals
[ William  Mar 18, 2019 ]
A
The power terminals on your amp do not require these. You would simply strip the last 3/8" of your wire, insert it into the terminal, and tighten the set screw.

Q
Hi I have a Power Acoustik Caliber Class D 8000w Amplifier. Will this product fit my power and ground terminals?
[ Robert  Mar 16, 2019 ]
8 answers
A
If your using for power and ground into the amp you can't use these you either want reducers or just put your wires into the amp if they fit without reducers. These are good for hooking to your battery.
[ Michelle  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
Yes
[ Jerry  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
It should . I have a 3000 planet audio amp I had to file down the sides a tad bit but it being a 8000w I'm sure they built it to use 0 gauge wire .
[ Dominick  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
I'm not really sure. SorryEnter
[ Jeffrey  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
No, I bought these for the same use, they are massive, way to big to use as terminals for my amplifier
[ Jake  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
Depends on if they're fitted for 0 gauge wire initially, considering 0 gauge is significantly larger than 10/12. When I purchased these I did have to modify their size to accommodate for the terminals, but overall they were easy to modify. It won't affect their output level, it's just a connection.
[ Eithian  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
I doubt it. These are more for connections to the battery or a capacitor.
[ Donnie  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
They are 3/4 inch wide. Check your amp terminal width because I am unsure. Hope that helps
[ MICHAEL  Mar 16, 2019 ]
Q
Are they 100% copper inside?
[ Jovan  Sep 26, 2018 ]
2 answers
A
They look to be copper on the inside, nickel plated on the outside, but it's not specified anywhere that I can find.
[ Gary A.  Oct 02, 2018 ]
A
Yes
[ Tony  Oct 02, 2018 ]
Q
Will this fit two #4s?
[ aaron  Jul 19, 2018 ]

A
Technically yes, but I would recommend putting the two #4 into a splitter and coming out with #1/0 6 to 12 inches from the splitter and put the end on it!
[ BRIAN  Jul 19, 2018 ]
A
Yes
[ Brittanie  Jul 19, 2018 ]

Yes
[ Tony  Oct 02, 2018 ]
A
Yes it will
[ Gregory  Dec 17, 2017 ]
A
Yes but use the covers that comes with them and you might have to grind them a little
[ Nicholas  Dec 16, 2017 ]
A
Depends on the brand. Some have thicker wires than others. If the 0 guage wire is on the thicker side than it might not fit
[ David  Dec 16, 2017 ]
A
Yes
[ Shacoby  Dec 16, 2017 ]
Q
Will these fit 0 gauge too?
[ Nickkkk  Dec 16, 2017 ]
5 answers
A
Yes, no issues.
[ Tony  Dec 22, 2017 ]
A
Yes. Zero gauge fits just fine.
[ MICHAEL  Dec 19, 2017 ]
A
They will as 0 gauge is only slightly smaller than 1/0, but you will want to use something like a ferrule or some means of keeping the strands of your power cable together. I used on 1/0 and used a ferrule with these terminals to keep the end of the wire clean and no frayed strands.
[ Brandon  Dec 18, 2017 ]
A
I used 4 gauge and from the about this item it says 1/0 ga meaning yes it will fit 0 gauge
[ Drew  Dec 17, 2017 ]
A
Don't know, I got them hooked up to 2 gauge welding cable..
[ Juan  Dec 16, 2017 ]
Q

Yes . That's what I have now .
[ Dominick  Mar 22, 2019 ]
A
Never hurts to try if no you could always return it
[ Drew  Dec 17, 2017 ]
A
No it won't, only 1/0 gauge.
[ JAROD  Aug 23, 2017 ]
Q
Do this item connect directly to a compacitor?
[ Kevin  Aug 06, 2014 ]

A
Yes it does
[ WALTER  Aug 06, 2014 ]
A
Do you mean capacitor ?Yes it does!
[ mauro  Aug 06, 2014 ]
A
Should work but you would probably need to mount with the ring upside down so it will sit flush. Short answer, yes.
[ craig  Aug 06, 2014 ]
A
Yes
[ PATRICK  Aug 06, 2014 ]
A
To a compactor, I am not sure! If you want to connect to an amp, you will have to shave the brass down to fit! You should be fine, just if you do have to grind down the side it will shave fast so be careful!
[ JOSHUA RICHARD  Aug 06, 2014 ]
A
I used these terminals to connect to batteries & battery switches. I do not have any capacitors in my system, nor have I worked with capacitors for audio systems, so I am not familiar with there shapes. What I can tell you is that these terminals are quite large & well built. I was surprised to see how substantial these terminals are. So... 1) You must ensure that you have some space around your capacitor to use these. They are far bigger than normal crimp on terminals. 2) With normal crimp on terminals, one side is almost perfectly flat with the bottom of the terminal. Example... ------------- ||||||||||||||||| -------------------- With these terminals, neither side is "perfectly" flat because of the large round barrel. ONE side of these terminals is "flatter" than the other, but neither side will fit flush against the top of the battery, capacitor, whatever. Example... ------------- ------ ||||||||||||||||| -------------
