Features

Side-Clamping Speaker Wall-Mount Bracket: The Helios AS-SPKR26 is designed to mount to the wall and hold speakers up to 33 lbs with a side clamping bracket design. It swivels to allow for adjustment without any required tools and features cable management to keep wiring organized. The mount features a -8 to +8 degree tilt range and a +90 to -90 degree swivel range to allow the speaker to be adjusted for optimal sound positioning. A foam pad prevents the device from scratching or dropping, as it securely holds the device into place. This bracket is ideal for use in home audio systems with large bookshelf and surround speakers. The AS-SPKR26 is sold in pairs.

Compatibility: The Helios AS-SPKR26's side-clamping design works well with bookshelf loudspeakers that measure 5.5" to 10.875" wide with a maximum depth of 10" and a maximum weight of 33 lbs.

High-Quality Steel Construction: The Helios AS-SPKR26 is constructed from high-quality steel with a smooth satin black powder coated finish for long life and durability. It also comes with durable black plastic covers.

Installation: The AS-SPKR-26 speaker brackets can be installed on wood stud walls, concrete walls, and brick walls. The brackets secure to a wood stud wall using the included screws. In addition to the mounting screws, anchors are provided for concrete and brick wall installation. These brackets are designed for indoor installation only (not recommended for outdoor use).

Customer Q&A

Q
Will these work with the Klipsch RP-500M II?
[ Ruben  Dec 27, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
Yes those Metra wall mounts will work with those Klipsch bookshelf speakers.
[ ARIELLE H  Dec 27, 2022 ]  Staff
Q
Does this fit for a 11 inch speaker, Elac uni-fi 2.0 UB52?
[ Joshua  Nov 13, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
Those Metra brackets would not be compatible with those ELAC brackets, they do not support the required depth.

Q
would you mount a JBL 306 PMKII BOOKSHELF NOT DRILLED at 80 inches with these in a public space?
[ Laureen  Apr 20, 2022 ]
1 answer
A
I mounted Klipsch bookshelf speakers roughly the same size without drilling and I've had no problems at all. However, I tilted my mounts just slightly, so they're both just about level. Just make sure the brackets on the mounts are tight; tight as you can get them. And I'd try to keep your 306's as level as possible.

Q
Would the Metra Helios AS-SPKR-26 work with a Polk ES-15? I will be putting it on the wall and using the 8% tilt with these bookshelf speakers.

A
yes i have my back surround like that with 2 klipsh bookshelves
[ ANGEL L  Feb 27, 2022 ]
A
They work very well. I'm not familiar with those particular speakers but one of the main issues would be to check the weight of the speakers of the weight limits of the wall bracket.
[ Ronald  Feb 26, 2022 ]
A
My hangers are 7' up the ceiling, holding Klipsch bookshelf speakers. There should be no issues with your Polks. The clamp is strong. Read the reviews. I have the same issue with the mounting cover, but the materials are robust and sturdy.

Well... Let's see. IF you looked at the "Details" tab of this product, you'll read the part that says: "Compatibility: The Helios AS-SPKR26's side-clamping design works well with bookshelf loudspeakers that measure 5.5" to 10.875" wide with a maximum depth of 10" and a maximum weight of 33 lbs." So now all you need to do it look up the specs of your speakers to see if they fall withing the above criteria. Take that maximum depth with a grain of salt or two. I am using these stands to support a pair of Klipsch RP-600Ms and they have a depth of a full 12 inches. Just be sure to have the side clamps of the stands positioned properly.
[ MICHAEL  Feb 26, 2022 ]
Q
Looks like these stands are designed for the speaker to be placed on to the stand and then screwed in. My question is, could this stand be turned upside down and then "hold up a speaker? I'd like to mount this on a short soffit coming from the ceiling. I don't have the height clearance to place the speaker on top of it. But I would have space for the speaker to "hang down" so to speak. Thanks for any help.

Hi, no, you can not turn speakers upside down, because speakers are hold by the bracket by adjusting the front edge against the speaker holding it tight. Actually, you do not alter in any way the speaker, if you do not have enough celling clearance, you have to opt for a more compact speaker. Hope this help!
[ CARLOS  Feb 14, 2022 ]
A
You would be trusting the stands to support the speakers using 1) the friction produced by the clamps, and 2) two tiny wood screws that are provided. As far as the design of the stands goes it may be possible to invert the device. And you could opt to purchase two woods screws that are larger and would produce a more secure hold by tapping into the speaker cabinet deeper. It would be worth a try. Ultimately your purchase is backed by Crutchfield's outstanding return policy and customer service. No worries in trying it in my opinion.

I have 4 of these mounts and have only used them as prescribed. However, I dont see any "specific" reason that they couldn't be utilized in the manner you're asking about. I would say the importance of making good contact with the screw to the speaker will be even more important, as that is what will be supporting the weight of your speakers!
[ DOUGLAS  Feb 11, 2022 ]
A
They are great stands but not designed for the way you would like to use them.

Works well for my Klipsch speakers
[ GARY  Jan 01, 2021 ]

I would think an actual shelf would look much better - these would be visible - if they even worked
[ KATHLEEN  Jan 01, 2021 ]
Q
can you tilt these down i need to mount 13ft high and then aim down to listen area?
[ Nate  May 07, 2020 ]

A
They will tilt down a bit, but I'm not sure if they will tilt down enough for being 13' in the air. I'd say maybe a 10-15 degree tilt is the max. I have mine level so I don't have to run set screws into my speakers. Hope that helps.
[ JEFF  May 07, 2020 ]
A
i have mine 10 ft up and they are level. I do not believe they tilt
[ GARY  May 07, 2020 ]
A
Yes Nate, they tilt.these are great.very strong.
[ Harry  May 07, 2020 ]
A
They only tilt downward 8 degrees. Depending on the size of your room this may not be enough.
[ PETE  May 07, 2020 ]
A
You could also possibly attach the bracket to the wall at a slight angle that will allow you to tilt them even further.
[ JERRY  May 07, 2020 ]
A
Yes you can tilt downward slightly. Not sure they will tilt down enough if you're hanging them 13 feet high.
[ JERRY  May 07, 2020 ]
A
No.
[ Richard  May 07, 2020 ]
A
No way to tilt them downward. It is ok to turn them left or right to aim them side to side.
