This will not sadly James, or more correctly it looks like XS has no direct fit info for your sweet 77 Impala listed in their fit guide online. We have two courses of action here. We list the detailed case measurements online of all the XS batteries we carry, so you can take some detailed measurements and go with one that is close that will need potentially some modification to your battery tray or tie downs to fit, that's option 1. It looks like this battery does not fit Blake, BUT it is the closest thing to a fit that XS has available. They don't go into specifics of what needs to be modified on the fit guide sadly, but that is most likely modifications to the tray and how the battery mounts and potentially even the plate underneath the battery. What I can say for certain is that IF you can get this XS Power D3400 to fit it's a HUGE upgrade over a standard battery! Xs power makes there own charger if you want to get specific but there pretty pricey.. I always use a trickle charger seems to work fine for me never have had an issue

Best bet would be to measure the existing battery and/or compare the group size of the OEM battery and then compare to XS Power's dimensions. I found I can upsize the batteries in my Subarus beyond what the OE spec provides and went simply by measurements. I'm running this battery in my Outback along with the extra terminals for some additional electronics that I have wired with fuses to the battery. I've had great success with it.

Will this work as a high powered battery for starting as well as audio electronics? I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1 with 2 10' kickers (500 watts peak) and a 600W Max kicker amp.

Your Honda is battery group 24 so the d3400 may not work in your vehicle. Try the d2400 as that should be a direct fit.

I am using that right now with two sundown audio sa-12 rev.3 probably pushing close to 1500 watts rms with a kicker kx 2400.1 amp in a 2005 avalanche custom set up self done. Im pretty sure you'll be fine. The only thing I have extra is a big 3 upgrade crutchfield has some great info how to do it on their site. I had an upgraded alternator too but I'm back to stock

It should. I was running this batt to push 2 15' RF T1 on a 1000rms RF T1 amp in a 2009 impala. I still had voltage drops to the mid 12v range at night. My original battery would drop in the 10v range

if that car fits a group 34 I would defiantly do it. I ran this on my old 01 accord wit big 4 upgrade two type s 12s at 1ohm to 1000 watt Cerwin Vega Mono block volt meters to the back and front so know this thing would never drop below 13.6 even on the deepest longest notes... Great product with lots of room to upgrade system

Yes, this battery will have more than enough power. Cars only use the battery on initial start up and when a lot of power is being drawn. When a car is running the alternator should take over for the most part. The beauty of this battery is that you can play your stereo all night long with your car off and still have enough power to start up your car in the morning. (My 1600 watt system has pulled many all nighters blasting music) This battery has not let me down once.

I had this battery in a v8 f150 and a v6 mustang running a mrx-m110 mono amp and a mrx-f65 4 channel just fine. Make sure this battery will fit in your car, as a good number of GM products require side post batteries. If it fits, it's more than enough for what you need.

It should be able to handle it. Be advised, that your alternator will be handling majority of your electrical load while the car is running. The battery starts car. The alternator runs the car and charges the battery once the engine is running. A larger battery would allow you to run your sound system longer with the engine off. The amount of power your running shouldn't be too much of a drain on your alternator. I'm currently running a dual battery setup with a custom high output alternator. The d3400 is my primary and I have a smaller one just for my bass amplifier. I haven't had any issues with this battery, but I spent a significant amount of time and money upgrading my electrical system. Consider upgrading your entire electrical system(higher amperage alternator,bigger battey/dual battery, and a larger gauge amp wire kit) if you go up to a system that is pushing over 500 watts RMS so you can optimize your audio system. When I received my xs power batteries they where 12.8 Volts, but I put it on the charger over night before i put them in my car and it was 12.9 volts resting.

Mine came charged, went from box to under the hood read 13.4 i believe before i fired car no problems. I imagine it couldn't hurt to charge before initial use if you have easy access to the correct type of charger

Mine came resting at 11.9 I believe I could have hooked it straight up to my truck but I always sit a new battery on a charger before an install, your local auto parts store will do it for free too so you don't have to buy a charger

Mine came charged, I checked it with a voltage meter before installing it (forgot voltage exactly). But once installed I let my engine run for a good while so the alternator could charge it up fully.

I received mine from Crutchfield with a PARTIAL charge. You will need a charger though to get the initial charge that the battery needs to see for like 24 hours prior to use. It needs the full 14.4v from a charger, not the 13.8 from your car system for it to be 100% effective as an audio system battery.
